Observation To Becoming A Nurse As A Registered Nurse

After going through a lot of trial and error in my career, I have decided that I want to pursue being a Registered Nurse. Many things have led me to this career choice, including personal and financial gain. I have tried many other occupations and educational programs and none of them have fulfilled me like I believe nursing will. It has taken me a long time to get to this point and I often joke that I finally know what I want to be when I grow up. I will tell you about my journey and what I hope to gain in my future.

Are you interested in being a Registered Nurse? To become a Registered Nurse also known as RN it requires education, skills, and interest. For instance, an RN must be able to detect changes in symptoms, health, or pain. Furthermore, a Registered Nurse should have critical thinking skills, communication skills, and organization skills. Anyways, three colleges in San Diego are San Diego State University, School of Nursing, and San Diego City college. An RN that is more experienced has the potential for raises or promotions than a new RN. Every RN is paid differently based on their experience/education. Therefore, RN's handle plenty of tasks and the majority of the registered nurses have a different education so each gets paid different amounts.

Nursing is more than traveling room to room, patient to patient, to provide medical care. Nursing is about treating the patient with the utmost respect and compassion. It’s more than providing medical care, but supporting the patient and family. Being a nurse only requires a bachelor degree and a “RN” badge, however, a great nurse possesses that knowledge, along with determination, a positive attitude, compassion, and patience. I believe that I display these characteristics and have a true passion for helping others. Throughout high school, I always had an interest in the medical field and biology. In some point in time, during a person’s life they run into the question what do I want to be? They must find a career that they will enjoy or the time that they have spent in class and studying will be in vain. While doing research on the Georgia Career Information Center and from the constant idea throughout my life I have decided that I want to become a registered nurse. A Registered Nurse is a person who enjoys helping other people. They practically have the responsibility for many peoples lives. What’s interesting about a Registered Nurse is that they get to learn about all the parts of the human body. A Registered Nurse works in the medical field and needs to be ready with anything that comes their way. There could be a sudden death, some kind of medical issue that pops up, and even a patient just falls over and hurt themselves. As a Registered Nurse they need to be able to deal with blood, snot, vomit etc. The main thing a Registered Nurse has to be good at is being able, and wanting to help people in need.

“Constant attention by a good nurse may be just as important as a major operation by a surgeon.” There was a girl who had always wanted to become one of importance, education, and also a contributor in her community. She feels that this occupation will assist her in living comfortably, providing for her family, and will be something she will enjoy doing. The career of a Registered Nurse is a challenging and important career, because of the importance one holds within a community. Quintilian once said “It is the nurse that the child first hears, and her words that he will first attempt to imitate.” I always loved helping people and I would turn on the television and look for shows related to nursing. “One Born Every Minute” was one of the few shows I watched on television that interest me and made me eager to want help with the birth of babies. This show captured the hardships and difficulty of giving birth and the experience of the procedure.

As a LPN I plan on working in long term care to spend time passing meds and being able to do assessments, or work at madigan hospital in hopes to be able to work in acute care until I get into RN school. I plan on working full time in whatever area I get a job in, most jobs offer classes to keep you up to date on what is best and safe practice. I plan to attend classes and seminars as provided to try and keep myself as sharp as possible in hopes to keep myself as sharp as possible for the safety of my patients and when the time comes for me to start school to be a registered nurse. I plan to take part in CEU’s. I plan to take classes to manage my 45 hours of continued education yearly I would like to take classes on medication administration

As far as I remember I would always play nurse with my siblings and make them feel better. When my parents would take me to the store to pick up a toy, I always picked band-aids and pretend doctor kit. My long-term career is becoming a Registered Nurse, and my short-term career is the career I currently have as a Licensed Practical Nurse.

Being a nurse may be an accomplishment for those that enjoy helping others. It also has great pay and benefits and offers a secure job for a career.

As the school year comes to an end, many high school careers with it, there's a lot of decisions that seniors have to think about. In order to better prepare themselves for life, many of the students and Gary High School have been doing research on both jobs and education. There are many things to consider when preparing for the future such as what to study during college and for the rest of your life. One particular student says that she would like to be a nurse, but she would have to endure many years of schooling and a rather large amount of clinical hours. Ashley is a nurse practitioner at the hospital. She must care for patients that she is assigned to. Ashley has been employed for eight months at the hospital. She had previously went to a two-year nursing program at West Penn that was 210 hours over the course of seven weeks. She had to go through a prerequisite at CCAC of two clinicals. Before the age of eighteen, I had lived in three countries. My father’s career as a doctor and scientist of Military, Disaster & Extreme Medicine took my family throughout Kazakhstan, Russia, and the Ukraine. Although it was a challenge for me to continually adapt to new places and learn three languages, I am grateful for the cultural exposure that traveling provided me. In every new environment I was raised to treat others with equal respect and kindness regardless of any differences or similarities we may have had. This exposure has taught me that successful acclimation lies in the ability to interact well with people from diverse backgrounds. Here, in a country of immigrants, I have met people from countries all around the world. The Nursing field provides me the opportunity to help all people regardless of age, sex or ethnicity. I seek a Nursing degree here in the United States in order to increase my knowledge and to be able to practice in the field of professional nursing. My goal of becoming a Registered Nurse has long been encouraged by my personal interest in the profession and by my experience, previous education and achievements.
