It’s reassuring to the public when they know they have someone to count on for help when it’s needed. In an instant, people go from being completely healthy and independent to vulnerable and sick. So who do people go to whenever their body isn't working physically the way it should? They go to Physical therapist, Occupational therapist and many others; But what I’m interested in pursing as a career is a Occupational therapy assistant.

I am writing this letter for Ms. Tierney D. Williams who is applying to Occupational Therapy Programs. The student will apply to more than one OT Program. I have only known the applicant for approximately two years. Ms. Williams is a resourceful, emotionally stable, and innovative person. She works well in a group or individual setting. Ms. Williams enthusiastically participated in classroom exercises and discussions. The student was enrolled in two classes that I teach, HLSC 4300-Epidemiology (earned “A” grade) and HCAP 2011-Writing Lab (earned “P” grade).

Patricia have been in the hospital since 2015, she asked to the occupational therapy to help to be discharge from the hospital to live in the community center. The OT starting to discuss about the discharge process with the therapist team. In result, the therapist orientated the client prepare for the discharge interview, and worked in researches possible places. The occupational therapist working two times a week to get Patricia independent, and giving the client information about how attain success in the interview process.

One strategic plan for AOTF is to increase the research workforce to questions of importance and relevance for occupational therapy (AOTF, 2017).

Jacob is an active is an active 2.10-year-old boy who was evaluated at Anna L. Klein School for occupational therapy services as a part of the comprehensive evaluation to determine his eligibility for Special Education services. He was referred for occupational therapy evaluation due to concerns with his attention, fine motor, and gross motor skills.

I was surprised to see how competitive the field of occupational therapy was. The field is getting very popular so getting into the program is difficult. There is a chance that one must apply to several accredited schools numerous times to get accepted, not to mention that there are limited spots in a class (“Signs OT is Not Right For You, Johnson,” 2015). I was also surprised to learn that one participates in field work much like nursing students. I initially thought that field work is not necessary and all the training is done in the classroom. The limited number of accredited schools in California is also surprising! This revelation makes me feel a little concerned. I think there should be more schools that offer this program. Additional

When thinking about what Occupational Therapists (OT’s) and what they write it is a lot of goal setting, documenting what they found, and writing a proper diagnosis analysis. . Elders and children that have suffered from things such as disease, surgery, or injury is the main market for OT’s because it is a motor system disease based job. Writing about goal setting and diagnosis; treatment OT’s are a very important to those in which diseased. There are multiple different types of writing in OT; the diagnosis paper is not going to be the same style as a function-bases goal writing assessment. It is very important that each paper that is written that it is full of vital information that will help not only you but the patient to properly grow and develop correctly.

An occupational therapist helps people who struggles to do their day to day activities. It can range from kids to elderly. They help kids to improve on their skills that they are developing like motor, physical, sensory, cognitive, and more. They also help elders who can't do their normal activities due to their conditions. It takes a lot of time and effort to become an occupational therapist. Their goal for the patient is to reach the patient’s goal and become more independent when it comes to their daily activities.

Thank you for your time on last Friday for the MSOT program at Stanbridge College. I was very impressed to see how faculties are open minded to students and i felt i will get great support from Stanbridge for my very first step towards to my big dream,Occupational Therapist.

The first attribute that sparks my interest is the range of skills this program provides that allows occupational therapists to work in a variety of settings. Documentation is “as important a skill to learn as our occupational therapy practice techniques” (Brennan, 2015). Proper documentation should enable us to articulate rationale, demonstrate clinical reasoning, clearly communicate information, and keep track of client progress. It may also help promote the field of occupational therapy or at least provide greater insight into what we do.

It is that excellent mentor or coach that leaves a mark in your life after going through a catastrophic situation. What if it is not simply done in the field and your needs are met simultaneously? I believe there is more to assisting patients then providing pills in an attempt to maintain health in our country. I want to make a positive impact on people's lives, contribute to society by enabling people of all ages and ability to engage in their regular activities of life. I want to help people and empower others to help themselves. For these reasons, I am passionate about pursuing a career in the field of Occupational Therapy at Adventist University Health Sciences.

A job in any type of therapeutic healthcare can be a rewarding and satisfying job. However, I believe that occupational therapy is a special and extremely rewarding field. A field in which I am over the moon passionate about and completely infatuated with. It is the thought of helping people who have been through horrible tragedies to turn everything around and live a happy healthy life that drives me the most. I feel very strongly as though this profession is where I am meant to work in and make a difference in patient’s lives. The more I research topics and studies of occupational therapy the more infatuated with the field I become because it is much more than just a job. To me, this career is a lifestyle
