It is stunning how without the use of a visual aid, the music shapes such vivid and live imagery, images of his childhood and cars enhance a lot of Frank Ocean's storytelling as he doesn't use cars in the typical Pop/Hip hop way. On Sunday, February 14, 1982, the Ocean Ranger was out at sea drilling at Hibernia well J-34. It was carrying a total of 84 crew members which included 56 Newfoundlanders. At around 8:00PM EST, the Ocean Ranger revived weather reports of a strong winter storm heading their way. With winds about 90 Knots and waves up to 38 feet, it was no different than any other storm so the Ocean Ranger still continued to dig. It was around 4:30PM that the Ranger finally decided to disconnect the drill pipe and retract for safety and wait off the storm. The Southern ocean is an environment that is a habitat for many types of whale such as the Minke, Right whale, Sei whale, Humpback whale, Fin whale, Killer whale and Blue whale, which are the largest mammal ever lived, it’s bigger than a dinosaur. Closer to the shore Right whale can often be found, they have a large amount of oil, whalebone, blubber and baleen, they are a slow swimmer, making them an easy target for a hunter.
