I am privileged to be one of the remarkable students qualified to join Eureka High School’s National Honor Society. I have been looking forward to applying to this organization as it provides influential help in our society. I would be privileged to join this distinguished association because it would provide me with opportunities to get involved in my community. As a hardworking, helpful, and friendly individual, I feel that I would make an auxiliary member to this organization. I demonstrate the qualities that are necessary to join this prestigious society, including leadership, character, scholarship, and service.

In the past couple of years, I have paid close attention to Treniya’s school activities, as well as, her outside activities. Her academic record includes GPA of 4.3; participation in several Honors/AP Classes; Senior Class President; Varsity Cheerleading Captain and National Honor Society. What interest me was her involvement in social activities such as her involvement in
There are many different reasons that students may need additional assistance to be successful academically. Students may have a difficulty reading, or English may not be their primary language. They may have suffered a traumatic brain injury or may have been born with Autism. Students might even have difficulty socially interacting with teachers and peers or due to some physiological impact in their young lives might have other emotional impairments. No matter what the cause for the disability, special education services and interventions are vital to success of these special students.

Alexa’s impact on Middleburg Academy has been significant. A terrific student who engages in a variety of activities, Alexa has been a joy to work with. Alexa is in the advisory I share with Janet Dewey. We work together to ensure our advisees are on the right track. She has embraced the schools mission (Learn, lead and serve) in all facets. During the first semester, she demonstrated why she is a member of the National Honor Society. The 3.5 GPA along with supportive accolades from her teachers is a confirmation of her dedication.
For Amir to participate in schooling on the same basis as students without a disability, a supplementary level of adjustment needs to be made to these main areas of impact to ensure his capacity to learn is not limited. Supplementary adjustments are made at specific times to “Address the nature and impact of the student’s disability and any associated barriers to their learning, physical, communication or participatory needs.” (Australian Government Department of Education and Training (DET). n.d.) While Amir’s learning abilities and communication are at an age appropriate level, he does require some modification of worksheets and tasks to communicate his understandings of the course material without writing with pen and paper. Amir may use specialised technology to assist his learning. The time allowance in certain tasks may need to be adjusted to allow for use of this specialised equipment (Conway, 2014, p 146.). The school environment and buildings including the classroom will need to be modified for Amir to easily access the school facilities with his wheelchair. Amir may require specialised support at times but is independent at most times. For these reasons I believe a supplementary level of adjustment is most appropriate for Amir to achieve the same learning experiences as other
Due to Skye's disability of reading, written expression, and mathematics she is in need of special education supports within the regular classroom. As a result, in order for Skye to make meaningful progress within general education, the general education curriculum will need to be presented with adaptations and modifications as outlined in the Specially Designed Instruction section of the IEP. Her rate of progress may be slower than that of non-disabled peers. Skye will receive itinerant learning support services in a general education class. The modifications listed in this IEP will be addressed in all
children with ASDs to allow them to participate fully in school life and later in society.
