Company Background

The Oil & Gas Company of Trinidad and Tobago Limited is a combined energy based oil Production Company which operates in the areas of exploration, drilling, refining and sells a variety of products such as LPG, gasoline, diesel, aviation and bunker fuel. The company was incorporated in 1995 with a combined operation in the areas of petroleum producing, and refining and marketing. The Oil & Gas Company is one of the crude oil producers in Trinidad and Tobago, with an interest in the production of natural gas. The refining operations have a full conversion capacity of producing approximately 175,000 barrels of oil per day (BPD), with an average throughput of approximately 115,000 BPD. The products manufactured are sold on the local, regional, extra-regional and international markets. The company employs approximately 3,500 workers, which comprises permanent and non-permanent workers. The company has a vested interest in their Corporate Social Responsibility, with a commitment to support and promote development in communities and schools within the area, whilst assisting with a more sustainable energy future through global environmental initiatives.
