Oklahoma Baptist University Scholarship Analysis

As a child my enthusiasm with the nursing and medical field has grown over the years into a career. I am DeQuandra Lyles from Sawyerville, Al and I'm grateful for my family and the scholarship to Neosho Community College.  I'm grateful for my family because it has been a rough week for me. I can always count on them they support me and everything I do. Even when I have bad days my family are my motivators. Family would listen to what you have to say and will refuse to give up on you. However, I'm grateful for the scholarship I didn't expect to receive one. The scholarship helped me out a lot I was less stressful. The scholarship paid for my tuition and books so less money came out of my parents pocket.

I take this time to express appreciation for the $500 scholarship that has been given for my to pursue a higher education. With both parents being 1st generation college graduates receiving their bachelors degree with having to providing for four children I saw them as the ultimate example of knowing the importance of going to college. Being the oldest child they wanted to instill the importance of continuing on to college. With being apart of a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints I was taught the importance of staying out of debt hence the reason I applied for this scholarship. I

This scholarship is awarded to San Bernardino County high school students who graduate within the top 1% of their high school graduating class. Students must be nominated by their high school principal in order to be considered for this award. The scholarship is renewable for up to three years. In order to maintain continued eligibility each year the recipient must complete a minimum of 36 units each year and maintain a 3.5 GPA. CSUSB only admits new students in the fall term. Some exceptions are made to admit veterans, athletes, and special circumstances.

I, Charday Williams, am one of the recipients of the Dr. Ruth M. Cady & Dr. Dorothy Husky Health Science Endowment Scholarship and I truly owe a great amount of appreciation to you both. These past few weeks have been extremely difficult for me when it comes to my schooling. I was accepted to the nursing program yet unsure of how I was going to pay for my schooling. Being that I am working toward my second bachelor’s degree it is relatively hard to get financial aid whether by means of loans, scholarships or grants. With this being said, I was afraid that I might have hit a bump in the road that I may not overcome. This scholarship or might I say blessing has lifted a great amount of stress off me. It has provided me with exactly what I needed

I am writing this letter to thank you from the bottom of my heart for granting me the Robert A. and Mary Neal Culver Scholarship. I have been working very hard throughout my college experience and receiving this scholarship is truly a blessing and a reminder of how my hard work has paid off. The extra money will help pay off my tuition for next year which will greatly help ease the stress about paying for my junior year, and my mother and I are truly thankful for having the extra help. I will continue to work hard and achieve all my goals on the next couple of years, and I will never give up on my dreams and aspirations. I would like to express my thanks to the Buster Bynum Education Scholarship for allowing me the opportunity for financial assistance through your scholarship program. Being the second child in my family to attend college, I know that college can be expensive. At the age of seventeen, I am the youngest of six children. I learned from my family that they will give me all the love in the world, but when it comes to money I have to earn it. For the past three years I’ve earned my gas and spending money working a part-time job laying sod for Mid-South Enterprises LLC. I am confident that my parents will help as much as they possibly can financially, but with the assistance from scholarships my out of pocket tuition cost can be less.

This scholarship was a huge blessing to my family as I would have not able to come to Marist College otherwise. I’m grateful for the chance to attend to college without having to worry about my finances. I would like to thank the Duet family for giving me the opportunity of a lifetime.

As upcoming high school seniors, many such as myself, desire scholarships in order to alleviate the financial burden that attending a university can bring. Though this considerable and generous scholarship prize money will be used to further my education at Texas A&M University, my main wish is to bring pride and satisfaction to my family. As a first generation student, I am humbled by the opportunity of obtaining an education in America. Since my parents were migrants from Vietnam and Hong Kong, a successful life here was unheard of many years before. I believe that I would be a very good candidate to receive a scholarship when attending Saginaw Valley State University. I work extremely hard in order to succeed in my classes. I like pushing myself to continue working hard in my classes in order to get the best grades that I am capable of. Looking back now over my past year here at Trinity, I am able to more fully appreciate than last year how well the goals of both the College and the Scholarship complement each other, and how in many respects they parallel each other.
