The Olympic program tried to take Olympic Wrestling out in 2012 but, it was overruled. I believe that Olympic Wrestling should always stay in the Olympics because there are other sports out there that aren’t as important wrestling, Wrestling is not a violent sport it is actually one of the safest, and People say wrestling does not support gender equality. There are other sports that don't need to be in the Olympics Sports that don't need to be in the Olympics Here are some sports that I consider side games. Badminton, Beach Volleyball, Fencing, Trampoline, Handball, Rowing, Sailing, Shooting, Table tennis, Water Polo, Luge, Curling, Skeleton, and Bobsleigh. If the Olympic program needs money why don’t they find out another way to make money without taking out wrestling People say that wrestling is a violent sport. Wrestling isn’t the sport that promotes violence In wrestling there is no fighting. there is only takedowns and grappling. its a sport that combines technique, strength, cardio and strategy. The UFC and WWE are two Organizations that promote violence. Kids watch WWE thinking that that’s the kind of wrestling that’s in the school’s sports program. Wrestling is one of the safest sports Wrestling is ranked the #7 most dangerous sport out of 11 talking injury wise. Wrestling is #7 with 40,750 injuries in 2012, Soccer is #3 with 172,470 injuries in 2012, Basketball is #2 with 389,610 injuries in 2012, and Football is #1 with 394,350 injuries in 2012.
