On Your Own
In this POW I’m explaining what path I am going to take after I am done with high school. Like whether I’m going to college or not and where I’m going to live. I’m also going to create a plan like how much my bills would cost and I’m going to afford everything.
Because I’m living in such an expensive city I would have a to help cover the cost of everything. I would work at a local Taco Bell from 4:30PM to 8:30PM making around $8.37 an hour I found this job right after had moved to New York. Because my roommates and I will all have jobs rent and groceries won’t be as hard to cover. I would also have at least 1 scholarship from school that’ll cover $3,00 dollars of my college tuition.
I would live in an apartment in Manhattan
When I make it out of high school I'm not going to College I'm just going to spending money on my little brothers until they get out of high school then I'm going to start with my sister.
As I’m slowly growing up and transitioning into a young adult, I’ve realized that i don’t want to finish high school, just to enroll in school again. I don’t want to be waking up spending my days working minimum wage. I see so many teens who graduate high school and end up working at Burger King and McDonalds, I’m not saying it’s a bad place to work but having our hours valued at eight or nine dollars is not how i want to be living. Majority of people are living paycheck to paycheck trying to make ends meet. I also chose this
There you are, a teenage version of yourself. You’re most likely only seventeen or eighteen years old, but maybe you’re younger or maybe you’re older. Regardless of your age, you’ve clearly just had a serious discussion. The time has come for you to start making decisions about your life after high school. You know a lot about college. College is probably the only choice you’ve even considered. But do you really want to be in school for at least another two years? Is college even worth paying for? Why shouldn’t you just find a job and move on with your life? In this essay I will examine the valid opinions of other thinkers and attempt to provide a compelling argument about the importance of post-secondary education.
When I graduated high school I had no idea what I wanted to do, all I knew is I was done with public school and could live my life as what I thought an adult was. My father and most of my family believed it was important for me to go to college, and get a kick start with my life. Though they weren’t wrong, I had no idea what I wanted to do and no discipline to do my studies to the full extent of my abilities.
After high school my main focus went into finding a full time job to support myself and my family. I started a family early and I tried to take college
.I am trying to put together my future by planning out my future. I was put to the task to find a career after getting out of high school. I’ll also need to find a house or apartment and transportation that I can handle with my salary. This also includes paying bills.
Having a plan about what to do with your future is an essential part of being successful. This plan could be as simple as going into the workforce right out of high school, or going to further your education. A plan should revolve around your personal career choice. A two step education plan to pursue a career as a bakery owner is the best choice for me after high school, even though some may argue against it.
One of the most important decisions in any teenager’s life is what they decide to do after high school, the choice is usually between college and deciding to get a job and start making money. Although the cost of education in America continues to rise, the benefits of a higher education are substantial and can be seen in the success of anyone who has a college degree.
I am a native San Antonian, born and raised here, but also very proud of my Mexican roots since i do have dual citizenship of the United States and Mexico. When i turned 10, my parents believed i would benefit from dual citizenship, since they were born there. I am a now upcoming senior of Southwest High School, class of 2016. On my last year of grade school, it has been very challenging with the question, "So, what's your plan for after high school?" It's so scary becuase you have so many options, there is the military, work force and of course to coutinue your education: college. But in order to make a desision you have to have a base of what you plan to do, throughout all my time in school i have tried to involve myself in anything possible
All in all when I am done with the long road of schooling I will be able to afford the precious things in life I’ve always wanted and have a career worth having as well.
When you are straight out of high school you have to provide for yourself. For this pow we had to create our own financial background being straight out of college. What are some things that you will have to plan for?
As a senior in high school, questions regarding college and my plans for the years following graduation are asked to me on a day-to-day basis. College is definitely the most important thing I am focused on this year, and although a college degree is highly valued in the job field today, many argue that not everyone should attend college due to the fact that it brings a new level of responsibility that many cannot handle, many careers now do not require a four-year degree, and because students no longer have the desire to learn.
Graduating and getting out on your own is a difficult step to make. There are a lot of things that you have to take into perspective. The choices that you make when you get out of highschool believe it or not are crucial and life altering. Decisions that you have to make are ones like what you want your career to be, where you want to live, and a big decision is buying a house. In making these decisions you have to do a lot of research and things to be prepared. I did a lot of research in hopes of finding a career that I would like and three things that I could see myself doing was owning my own spa ($100,000 yearly salary), managing a spa($60,000 yearly salary), or being an
“Don’t worry about the future; or worry, but know that worrying is as effective as trying to solve an algebra equation by chewing bubblegum.” Many people believe that they have everything solved after they finished High School, but really they don’t know how everything is going to end. You will probably find out that you don’t want to go to college or want to do something else, everything changes nothing ever stays the same. The future is something that everyone doesn't want to go to because they don't know how they are going to end up, the only thing you can do is work hard for what you want in life, nothing comes easy there always has to be a challenge, show that you are determined to accomplish what is needed for you to reach that goal that’s how you will be able to
It was 2016, and I was finally a senior in high school. Being a senior in high school was something that I had dreamed of since my early middle school days, and at last, I was there. It was the last year in one of my least favorite environments, and I couldn’t wait to graduate and move away from the only place I had ever known. I had lived in the same town for seventeen years, and I had gone to the same school with the same people for thirteen years. I was looking forward to something new in my life. I was most excited for my senior year because it was the year that I was going to choose where I wanted to move away to and what school I wanted to spend the next four years of my life at. As the year moved along, I slowly realized that I wasn’t moving away and that I’d be staying home to attend college, which was one of the most difficult decisions that I ever had to make.
