From “One Carpenter’s Life”, I get the points which he wanted us to know from his history is through the hard work and what we going through now can form more the core strength in our body. As haun said, “We long to feel, sometimes in the evening, that gentle breeze that comes, touches our faces, and tells us who we are.” Furthermore, from my perspective, he tried to let us know what did not kill us, make us stronger. We make mistake and learn, then we will get the experiences that can help us in our future. We can not change what happen now, in fact, we should embrace present and appreciate what it teach us.
In life all will encounter countless obstacles, good and bad, and all must learn how to live through it. In Night, by Elie Wiesel, he was experiencing depressing times and he a Jewish philosopher, had turned away from God. Elie Wiesel's temptation, caused from his grievous situation should not have allowed him to forget who God was. If Elie Wiesel had remembered Psalm 34:17 and Proverbs 3:5-6 he would have acknowledged God in all his hardships.
He also learned a lesson from his mistakes which ultimately creates a catharsis in the reading
This quote is said by the blacksmith to his son. He said this after his son hurled himself into the fireplace to save his well-earned rupee from the blazing fire. This quote is significant because it shows development of theme. It portrays success comes from hard work, after the lazybones son finally accomplished his father’s one task by committing to a week worth of work to earn a rupee.
More than a Carpenter is written by two men whose names are Josh and Sean McDowell.
He sought to stay close to God by avoiding committing “the sins of the flesh,” again. He wanted to live a more righteous life than he had when he was living against the will of God. He felt that each person, should, above all things, have a relationship with God.
It can cause shock in the beginning but that makes it even stronger. He manages to instill the idea that we are all special, everybody in their own way and the person sitting next to us deserves as much respect and appreciation as we do. He also demonstrates that we need to live life for the better of ourselves and others equally because that will bring us true satisfaction.
He learned that people can be cruel. That the world is not the same for various people
He was forced into one of the worst labor concentration camps and through it all he found and held on to the slightest bit of hope. For example, “ I no longer felt anything except for the lashes of the whip….He took his time with the lashes. Only the first one really hurt.” Even though the lashes hurt really bad all he could think about was his father, “ I was thinking of my father. He would be suffering more than I,” He wasn’t really focused on the fact that he just got beat. He had lost his faith and belief in God through this traumatic event; and even through this time, when he had little faith, he was resilient and pushed through. He pushed through even though he had no idea of the future. Even though he could have give up and died at any point during his time there, he decided to be resilient and to keep
Optimism filled his soul like the fresh paintings hanging in the museums. He expected the future will harbor better things than just quiet farming. In that spirit, he never accepted the limits of digging peat or milking cows, or practicing a religion he did not profess to.
He overwhelmed with a lot of emotions that he couldn't process and it was pulling on his emotions and beliefs. (page 67) " Blessed be gods name? Why, but why would i bless him? Every fiber in me rebelled. Because in his great might, He had created Auschwitz, Birkenau, Buna, and so many other factories of death? How could i say to him: Blessed be thou almighty master of the universe, who chose us among all nations to be tortured day and night". How do you continue to believe in something that doesn't help through the times that you need and look for it the most. Many people threw away their morals, values, and even religion after they have been subjected to the harsh and inhumane conditions of the concentration camps over along duration of time. which shows that at times much like the holocaust people ask themselves were is my god and why would he let so much death and despair go on for so
God has become angry with his people. He complains in the fifteenth century English play Everyman about humans and their obsession with material items, riches, and wealth. Men and women, he feels, have taken for granted their blessings. God wants to reprimand Everyman for his sinful life and sends Death to summon him. At the beginning of the allegorical work where figures and actions symbolize general truths, a messenger shares God’s concerns. The messenger tells the audience to watch and listen closely to the morality play so they can learn a lesson about life. Everyman fears Death, and he desires to know what one must do to earn salvation and enter heaven. The writer then implies that the way to achieve salvation is by doing good works.
At this time, the author maintains, we have two kinds of lives. There is the natural life and the spiritual life and they are opposed to each other. The natural life knows that if the spiritual life got a hold of it, all its self-centeredness and its self-will would be killed. Therefore, it fights for its life. The author compares this to a child who tries to bring to life his toy tin soldier, but the toy soldier did not want to be alive. So, just like us, it would rebel. Because the toy soldier likes the tin, he would think that you are killing him if you tried to change him. Similarly, man has some things about him that he likes, and probably wants to keep. He, too, may become obstinate even if God tried to change him. The author explains, however, that God sent this one man through whom all other men could become a Son of God, and the natural man would have to change for this process to take place. Man could resist, but the opportunity is still there for
Using machines and being outside are the joys of being a carpenter. Carpentry has always been a job that I have wanted to pursue. A carpenter has many tasks to do, this job will have things that may or may not fit me, and I have to have a plan to accomplish all of my goals.
God trusted that Jesus would know his love was always there and vice versa - even though he was giving his life. The good was that he took away our sins.
He influenced families to produce more and more children as possible. His objective was to make children believe that he was the father that promises loyalty to them and wished loyalty from them. He made them to believe they were master race, better than anybody else.
