I walked into the classroom and started setting down chairs and wiping down tables. Ms. Justine was getting excited pulling out the children’s shirt that they had tie died the day before. Ms. Alyssa liked the shirts. Lucy F. came in first and Ms. Justine said “Lucy F. what do you think should I give you your shirts now or later today?” Lucy F. said “I think you should give them now.” Ms. Justine gave Lucy F. and Lucy F.’s mother their shirts as they held them up and looked at them. Lucy F. said “It’s so pretty.” Chase came in and asked to see his shirt and then Manaf, Lucy B., and Assel all came in and asked to see their shirts. I said “Miranda why don’t you go to the restroom and I will watch over your babies for you until you get back. I promise I will take really good care of them.” Miranda gave me her baby dolls and ran to the restroom where Ms. Alyssa helped her use the restroom. After Miranda came out of the restroom she washed her hands and then ran over to me to get her babies. Ms. Alyssa asked me if I would read the children a story before going outside. I read two books to the children both were about insects and the last book was called Mr. Bumble. After reading the two books Chase got picked as line leader for the

Feminism is an organized activity on behalf of women's rights and interests. Feminism has been in society for many years. The story “Story of an Hour” by Kate Chopin and the poem “Paper Matches” by Paulette Jiles are based on how feminism affected women before. These two passages have a similar perspective on how women saw men, both are written in the perspective of a woman, and how women were confined to their homes.
Have you ever felt like you single-storied a person? A single-story is when you judge someone based upon their looks or where they are from. It is like a label. The problem about single-storying is you don’t even know the person. I have to admit, I know I have single-storied someone. You are just literally putting them into a category of what you believe they belong in. In this essay, I will be referring to the speech “The Danger of a Single Story” . This speech is by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie. She describes how her life was in Nigeria and how she came to the United States. Ahichie was single-storied about where she come from and her heritage. This relates to how I characterized a person due to how they lived and where they come from. I’m going to tell you a story about the time I single-storied someone.
The first day they were all wearing dresses and Suzy noticed that a girl had her old dress on and it was Leah, and that irritated Suzy(page 2 paragraph 1). The next step was for each student to get assigned a helper and Suzy and Leah got paired up. They don’t like each other so Suzy asked for a new partner, but Mr.Forest said no, so they were stuck. Suzy really wanted Leah to wear a different dress it was really irritating Suzy(page 3 paragraph 1). When Suzy went to grab Leah's paper to correct it Leah shrugged like she was going to get hit and Suzy did not understand. Nothing was getting better so Suzy’s mom told her she should invite Leah over for dinner one night and they would have to get a special pass for doing that. Leah asked Suzy what her name was and she told her full name and Leah asked what was she named after and it was a book and Leah started laughing. “Suzy brings me many treats and expects me to be grateful for them, but how can I she treats me like a pet.” Suzy noticed at lunch that Leah wasn’t eating and putting the food in her pockets and Suzy started wondering if she even eats. Leah got moved up to Suzy’s grade because
When I open my eyes, I'm taken my surprise. For the first time in a long time. I don't wake up to the sound of my phone going off, but rather, the sound of muttering coming from Zach's Kitchen I can't be sure, but to me it sounds like Fredrick , why would he be here this early in the morning? I ask myself.

I still remember that day vividly; at first, it seemed like another day. I was sitting on the couch watching TV and scrolling down Facebook. I stopped and read a post containing a picture of my friend. My heart suddenly skipped a beat. I had just found out my friend, Matt had been involved in a terrible accident and was in intensive care.
Every other day, Esther’s mom sent her to fetch the eggs for the kingdom. The kingdom of boredom, strictness, and no fun. Esther remembered when she was a kid and there were no responsibilities, just fun. The kingdom deemed that kids could have fun until the age of 16, when maturity and responsibility was expected and it was believed and ingrained in every one’s minds that fun was only for the children. That’s how work got done. You had fun, then you were put to work. Never to step out of line, never to have fun, never to be different. Queen Natasha, Esther’s mom, believed in adhering with the rules. She followed and stood by every rule formed, invented, and passed down from the generations because according to her, that was what worked. Esther always tried working, but her mind wandered to practical jokes and
Over by the oak tree, four-year-old Allen and his teacher, Helen, were staring at each other. “Allen, get off the slide. It’s time to come in now,” I said to him. Allen ignored me and ran around the other side of the slide. Then I emphasized what I said to him one more time: “Play time is over, Allen. You must come inside the class now.” No response. I was so mad that I increased my voice to him. “Allen! Get down now!” Allen tightly grabbed the side of the climbing structure without letting go. My face was turning red and started to threaten this little child, “If you don’t come in this minute, you won’t be allowed to come out to play the rest of day.” Allen stuck out his tongue and made faces at me. It looked as he was teasing at me, “You can’t make me!” Finally, I went up to the climbing structure and took Allen’s arm. Allen pulled away, yelling, “I don’t want to go inside,” and ran to the other side of the play area. It took several minutes before I finally caught up with Allen and forcibly carried him in.
The year is 2021. I haven’t been outside my house or made contact wth another person in 13 days since my older sister Zy'YAH died. My sister was my roommate, only remaining relative, and my best friend. Both of my parents died in a car crash when I was thirteen and Zy'YAH was sixteen. One day they were alive and well, and the next they were just gone. After their death, Zy'YAH assumed the parent role. Everything I had to live for was gone. My house no longer feels like home.
