Online Homework Assignment Analysis

Is there ever an instance when a M.Ed. cohort student does not have to take EDUC 635? I have had 2 students, 1 reading and 1 C&I, call to ask if they need to take 635. The C&I student said his professor talked about 630 being different for those taking 635 and those not. The reading student said 635 did not show on her advising sheet, which it does on all the advising sheets I have. The first time I was asked the question, I assumed there was some confusion with the professor, but when I got the same question twice in 2 days it made me wonder if I had missed something.

Throughout this semester, I have learned multiple issues concerning my English 1301 online class. I have learned various writing techniques and peculiarities of MLA, APA formatting, citation norms, and an accurate use of sources. After taking this class, I am pleased to say that now I can not only differentiate MLA and APA formats, but also write papers using them.

One strategy that I agree with, suggested on page 65 within the reading, is the use of a homework reward system. Often times, reinforcement works to motivate students with ADHD. Therefore, the use of reward systems would help keep Lindsey on track and motivated to complete her homework. Since homework seems to be a constant frustration and struggle for both Lindsey and her parents, this approach would in the end benefit both. A second strategy suggested on page 64 is to remember that homework should be time for reviewing and practicing what students have been taught in class. Especially when teaching students with ADHD it is crucial to keep in mind that often times, these students find it difficult to keep up and thus fall behind in classwork.

Moving from problems to solutions requires critical thinking skills. We confront problems in every aspect of our lives. We deal with them at school in the form of math equations, science problems, etc. We also deal with them at work in the form of finding better or new ways in performing certain aspects of our jobs. Lastly we have to deal with personal problems.

I am the type of student that starts off with the best intentions and plan to get a high GPA score for the year.. I'll will do great the first few weeks, get all my assignments done on time, and doing well on quizzes. Then I might get behind on an assignment and spend time catching up instead of studying for the next class. By then I have fallen behind in the class and maybe a month later ill slip up again, the end result is me not doing my absolute best by the end of the semester.

Completing these quizzes has helped me better understand my ability to succeed as an online psychology student. The results from the SORT quiz made complete sense. I scored high in the life factor, personal attributes, and tech competency. This means that I do not have many distractions or other responsibilities to interfere with my schooling. I have a great support system, including my family, coworkers, and my boyfriend. I also know quite a bit about using a computer. I scored lower in technology knowledge meaning that I am not very useful when it comes to fixing computers. Lastly, for this quiz, I scored lower in the reading recall section. I believe this just means that I need to pay more attention to details within the writing I am reading.

With respect to working with others, I actively collaborated and maintained a positive professional relationship with team members, DARPA and service officials, and stakeholders. As part of the engagement, I collaborated with DARPA and service officials to organize data collection meetings and exchange information. Based on my interactions with these individuals, my team members said that I carried myself in a professional manner, which promoted positive collaboration between GAO and stakeholders. My actions facilitated positive meetings with stakeholders that provided the team with important information needed for the engagement. Furthermore, throughout the engagement I collaborated with team members to discuss findings from our case studies,

The writer’s thesis is that if you write nasty things about someone on the internet, you must presume that your words will find their target, and their target will find you. I believe that this thesis means that don’t write anything online about somebody that you don’t want them to hear about. This is proven in the text because the author is trying to teach the lesson to prevent the misfortune of what occurred to the Birchmount Park Collegiate students.

I think the pace of this class is great so far. The weekly homework are simple and easy to follow. I’ve been completing all the assignments each week, but I noticed that the weekly homework has different due days, which is awesome because it gives me enough time to finish the assignments. In fact, I would recommend this class to a friend because there is not a lot pressure, like other CIS classes. I’m very content with this class, and I have not complaints about it.

This experiment helped me to manage my time to do homework during the day. I learned that I work better before going to work than trying to do homework after I got from my job. If I wake up early I have more time to do my homework during the morning. I realised that if I wait until I get back from work, I’ll be tired and all I want to do is sleep. Changing my rewards was a great idea, because I felt more motivate to continuing reaching my goal. The day where I decided to sleep more, I knew that doing my homework at the morning instead of doing it in the night works perfectly. My typical weekly outdoor recreational schedule at school is very different from my schedule at home in Vermont. When I am at school I don’t get much exercise outside other than walking to and from places. When I am at home and at school I try to go to the gym and workout on the machines or just workout in my dorm. I really enjoy the high/ good feeling you get after a good workout, it gives me good energy to motive me to do my other tasks in the day. I don’t do many recreational activities outside in Providence because it's not always safe to be outside. The real reason is that I don’t have the energy or desire to because I am spoiled with all the nature back home,

Receiving an education via an online course is one that has begun with many challenges. I have come from having no knowledge of researching information to feel like I have journeyed a long way finding the confidence to research pertinent and quality resources. Through this particular unit I have been given the implements to develop a sound knowledge of online group collaborations and the programs to allow the communication to take place.
