Many pets have come and gone throughout my childhood; some were memorable and some were not. Two of my pets, cats Blanca and Onyx, were by far the most memorable furballs to paint my world a brighter shade of red. Never have I seen two cats so uniquely different from one another. Blanca and Onyx were both cats, but they were like night and day. They were a contrasting pair that impacted my life in different, but equally strong ways.
Before I contrast my two little aliens, I must first note how they are similar. Most of their similarities are physical, and therefore easy to deduce, the most obvious similarity being that they are both cats. Blanca and Onyx were indoor/outdoor cats, and hunted squirrels and birds. Both cats chose me as their human, and were downright terrified of my little sister. Also, they were both named after the color of their fur coat, but this is where the list of similarities end. The differences between these two are miles long, but I`ll keep it brief.

Blanca came into my life at an early age while I was living in Reykjavik, Iceland, and has since then been the number one constant in my life. My music teacher was moving, and wasn't allowed to take Blanca with her, so she entrusted her to me, and that tiny, white ball of fluff has been my best friend ever since. Onyx, on the other hand, crashed into my life on a bright, spring day in Washington D.C. My mother and I were actually meeting someone in downtown Crystal City to adopt a different cat, and while trying to get the cat in the car, he ran away and we couldn't find him. We were so distraught that we drove 90 miles per hour on a 75 mile lane, got a ticket for speeding, drove to the animal shelter, and adopted Onyx because he was the most calm out of the whole bunch. We soon found out that this supposedly calm little angel was in fact baby
Tia Torres´ childhood would not be the ideal childhood. She was raised by her stepmother and had no father figure. With no father figure in Tia´s life, her mom showed her that if you have the loyalty of an animal companion, you don't need much else.(“Tia Torres” 1). They had two horses, a goat, and a dog named Cougar. She loved animals before she could walk. Tia began to
Also, each character has his or her own form of a Meeting with the Goddess. For Blanca, her meeting occurs when her daughter, Alba, is born. Alba portrays the Innocent character archetype from the moment she is born. She brings happiness to everyone she connects with. This helps ease the tensions in the Trueba family and transforms Esteban into someone who is a little softer on the inside, which causes him to ultimately accept Pedro and Blanca’s relationship. For Winston Smith, his meeting occurs before many of the previous stages. When he meets with Julia in Victory Square and they hold hands amongst the busy crowd of Oceanians. This meeting not only gives him assurance of who Julia really is, but also increases his strange feelings of affection
They both are slaves, and they worked on plantations. Which means they worked for the masters. They were very bold and brave, they were never really scare, and determined to get what they want and were there going, but they also suffered consequences. There are many ways they are different from each other.
Similarities between these stories are that there are two young boys having a conflict with their family, and they both were caused by a misunderstanding. Another example is that both of these misunderstandings happened in the author's childhood. They both
Our room had a balcony that overlooked a small piece of nature, and as I looked down, I saw something small and furry in the grass. It was averaged sized for its species and had the furriest little tail ever. I walked around, calmly looking for something to eat, preferably a rodent. I got the rest of my family to see a cat we named it Biscotty the
There are countless numbers of similarities and differences between the pair of Native American myths. They resemble one another in the way that there people believe in
Maxie came into our lives November 20th, 2013. My sister found her on the side of the road. My dad told us that we couldn’t keep her because we already had too many dogs. We put up signs and uploaded posts on facebook asking if she was anyone’s dog. No one claimed her and she began to grow on everyone. Before long, she was a part of our family. We all loved her and couldn’t imagine our household without her. She was this little blessing that found her way into our house and I will forever be thankful to whoever’s dog she was, for allowing us have two years of joy with her.
As their mom Ishiguro said, her pets have special relationship now and they are acting similar like her sons. Somehow, they are playing the game of love and hate and everything looks perfect. The best thing for both is they are happy now, as they can spend time together.
Growing up on a farm has allowed me to learn about many different types of animals. Starting from the beginning of my animal ownership starts with George and Washington. Living on the farm barn cats were always around. When I was about three years old I found these two fur balls. No, I was not a historical genius at the age of three to name them George and Washington, so my dad did. George was grey with beautiful big eyes. Sadly, Washington did not fare so well in appearance. He looked a bit grungy with his white coat since he had lived outside his whole life, and he his one eye was also blind. They were quite a dynamic duo though, catching mice and pestering the birds in the barn. In the summer I remember climbing up on the straw bales
I was sitting in our kitchen, about to eat, when my aunt went it. I ran over to her, happy to see her, and in her hands was a small, black and brown chihuahua. My aunt told me he weighed one pound. Of course, I immediately held him. I couldn’t resist. He was such a cutie! With pointy ears, big black eyes, and a small nose, he was the center of attention at our house. The puppy didn’t have a name yet, so we tossed around a few names. None of them were a good name for the pup.
Everyone must have had a pet before, even if it was as small as a fish or as big as an elephant. We’ve all had that one pet, that we will forever remember. The loving relationship between a dog and a person is so unexplainable but very special in its own way. I’ve had a dog when I was born and it would always be there from my first time to talk to being with me my sophomore year. I had a Chinese Shar-Pei, whose name was Kane. He was the most precious pet to me and not one other pet can replace his 1,000 rolls or the two different colored eyes. Everyone thought he was ugly but he’s beautiful to me. The relationship we had was unique. In this relationship it contained us both knowing what we thought and getting in trouble together. The loving
I have loved animals all my life, but I did not have a pet until I was four. For my fourth birthday, my family went to multiple pet stores to get a guinea pig. On our first stop, I saw a guinea pig with completely white fur. She had bulging brown eyes, and I knew that she was the one I wanted. After viewing multiple guinea pigs, we went back to the first pet store and picked up the guinea pig I wanted. They put her in a box and as soon as I got into the car I took her out and named her Snowflake. I played with her every day and I fed her because she was my responsibility. Our bond grew because I had to take care of her and I was constantly playing with her. As years passed, I stopped playing with her as much as I used to. She grew older and
Similarities between the two siblings are not very hard to point out. Both of thecharacters are very curious and get into a lot of mischief .The two of them are
My story is about the time I got my first dog. Bella is a chihuahua and pug. I love this dog with all my heart, I am so thankful for her.
Thesis statement: After living with them, I have noticed that although there are innumerable similarities between the dog and the cat, there are also some important differences.
