My family is the most important thing for me, I would die for them, I would do anything for them to keep them alive, and they would do the same for me. Sometimes I don't show any affection to my relatives, and that is what makes it difficult for them to communicate with me. I try to be affectionate with them, but I get uncomfortable or uneasy. But, aside from that, I still love them, and as said before, I will give my whole existence for any of them. Familia will always be there for you, no matter what, and if they are not, then I do not know what they are. A family is supposed to have your back, supporting you wherever they are and wherever you are, anywhere you go. Even if you think you are a grown independent human, you will forever need them, there will always be a moment where you will be sad and you will want to go back with your mamá or your papá, or even your abuelos, or uncles. My family plays an important role in my life. I have a strong relationship with my parents, three sisters, two older brothers and my husband. My younger brother left the home when he was 12 years old and the family has no contact with him. My family strength is our support system and helping each other out. The other systems education, work, social interaction and health are also important in my life.

Family is supposed to listen to you when you're in need. Family is supposed to have your back. Family is supposed to be loyal. Family is supposed to be dependable. My family is one of a kind. They support me all the time. My dad comes home each day after doing an eight hour shift and manages all the bill payments. My mom cooks, cleans, goes to job, helps me and my brother with homework, and drops/ picks us up from classes every single day. Last but not least, my brother is always there for me. He shares everything with me, even his favorite chocolates. And he is the one that teaches me the forms that I didn’t get in the karate class. My third top interest is in the social area. I find this remarkable because as a child I was very shy and quiet. During my teenage years, I faced challenges because I felt that socially I did not fit in with the crowd. It took me a long time to realize that I needed to open up and show the world who I am with no fear. I needed to gain confidence by looking others in the eye when I spoke and to be myself. Now as an adult, I feel very comfortable in my skin. I enjoy holding conversations with others and that ability gives me confidence in who I am and in my future career.

Me and my family are very close. We go on trips and vacations together. Every night we eat dinner together. My family helps me get through everything from the best to the worst times. We like going on bike rides together at Shoreline or just around the neighborhood.

Personal interests are what make me happy and want to grow as a person. Some of my interests include chemistry, physics, math, technology, and people. I enjoy chemistry because it brings material information into a form that can show what can react. It allows for creation of new materials that can be assessed for usability.
