The origins of wrestling go back to 15,000 years ago Wrestling is one of the oldest sport played. The Greeks feared the true history of the sport would be lost therefore Greco-Roman wrestling was born from that one type of wrestling many forms were elaborated. The first real traces of the development of wrestling date back to the times of the Sumerians which is 5000 years ago. Drawings , as well as many other vestiges, witness the existence of corporations of wrestlers in Ancient Egypt, wrestling rules and refereeing codes. Fights were similar to those of freestyle wrestling, as shown by drawings and inscriptions from that time. The most famous of all wrestlers was Milon of Croton, six times Olympic champion, ten times winner of the

The origins of modern boxing dates back to England in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. Although protoforms of blood sports and combat date back to ancient Greece and Rome it has a totally different concept as the boxing we know today. The antecedent of the boxing we understand today was bareknuckle prizefighting. Bareknuckle prizefighting became popular about the same time England emerged as a major capitalist world power. The rise of the sport boxing came in a part from the growth of commercialized leisure and popular recreation. London prize ring rules governed the sport of prizefighting as a bare-knuckle event or contest until the gloves were introduced. The evolution of boxing has had a great change such as the history of boxing, women in boxing, and even the style and rules have changed (“Boxing” Early 1).
According to Bare Knuckle Boxing the earliest evidence of boxing dates back to Egypt around 4000 B.C. The sport of boxing began gathering the attention of many men who want to test their strengths, agility, and evasiveness.
According to Nigel Binns, in his book “Nuba Wrestling, the original art” he speaks of the Greecian art of wrestling boxing called Pankration, which was originally an art form from Africa (It is similar to Nuba Wrestling mixed with Hausa Boxing) and that the Greeks adopted it as their own. Nigel noted, their style of wrestling called Pankration is said to derive its name from two ancient Egyptian gods; Ra and Aton. Therefore Pan-Ra-Aton/ or Pankration meaning all-powerful God, or spirit.

The Twelve Jewels of the Olympians that taught young gods on mount Olympus by the Pillars of Hercules was the dawning of martial arts outside of Africa and much later the wrestling style was introduced into Europe called Pankration (770 BC).
Mixed martial arts go all the way back to the first Olympic games of 776 b.c. (“What is Pankration”). This sport combined boxing and wrestling and was used by the Spartans and Thracians (“What is Pankration”). Back in those days these contests were to the death, but today are modernized for society and to allow fighters to fight again after a loss. This is not the only instance of the first mixed martial arts events, but there was Vale Turo in Brazil and most recently the Ultimate
American culture encompasses many things—football, TV shows like The Walking Dead, food festivals (like our more local Wine and Cheese Festival), and Marvel movies, to name a few. But one of the more enduring, less intelligent and far more scandalous components of our culture is—reality television. Namely shows like Jerry Springer, Maury, and even some of the court TV shows like Judge Judy and The People’s Court. Shows like these take on the same role in our culture that wrestling did in French culture, as Barthes described in World of Wrestling. The public is somewhat aware of the fact that the accounts in these shows are embellished, but they in fact count on this extra acting out. We, as a people, love drama. The shows also have a clearly defined “victim” (which replaces the role of the “hero”) and “bastard.” But, these things have one key difference. While the wrestling matches that Barthes described were expected to have a certain outcome, with the “hero” emerging victorious and the “bastard” being given his just desserts, the outcome of these shows are not as predictable—but the designations of “victim” and “bastard” remain unchanged, despite the outcome.
Since curling was invented in the late medieval times, there is no specific inventor. The first written evidence appeared in Latin, by John McQuhin when he recorded a challenge about throwing stones across the ice between John Sclater, a monk at Paisley Abbey, Renfrewshire, and Gavin Hamilton, a representative in February of 1541. The report indicated that Sclater threw a stone along the ice three times before he agreed to a contest. This event took place in Scotland which is where curling first originated. Therefore, this is considered to be how curling began and, the people involved.
