Orphan Black is a Canadian science fiction television series, created by Graeme Manson and John Fawcett. The series focuses on Sarah Manning’s life after she started to act like her clone who committed suicide in front of her, Beth Childs. (Starring by Tatiana Maslany) Orphan Black is one of my favorite television series because it has a great plot and complicated characters. Cast is beyond talented; especially acting of Tatiana Maslany is far brilliant. She is portraying Sarah Manning, Alison Hendrix, Cosima Niehaus, Elizabeth Childs, Helena, Rachel Duncan, Krystal Roderich and other clones of Project Leda. And in the series there are a lot of episodes that four of the clones in the same scene. Cast and crew put so much effort in this series and I’m sure they are going to continue receiving awards. …show more content…
Because she is punk and she has courage. She is capable of keep her family safe and she is determinant. She is an arduous character; we could see her changing with the episodes, evolving to who she is now. And she has a troubled past, she had real mistakes and those are making her hard to break under stress. She had hard times with herself too I can say and in the beginning of the series she was changed somehow, she wanted to be with her child and she was determined to do that. And through the seasons she didn’t lose that desire, she difficulty in surviving, keeping her sisters alive but she didn’t run away like she did before. She had difficulty in trusting the people, trusting her clones, trusting Paul and Cal. But she outmatched her fears, she decided to be more than just a coward little girl. She became something more brave and wild. Like they said she was wild card and she became
In the book Coppers sun , written by Sharon M. Draper, Amari, who is a 15 year olds girl, lives in Africa with her mother, father, brother, and her soon to be husband Besa. At the beginning of the book she is happy and outgoing, but throughout the novel her character beings to change to a sorrowful person. Her character changes due to being taken from her family, getting abused and raped, and her being separated from Besa. Amari and her family live in a small village, Ziavi, with many other Africans. She loves the rusty brown dirt of Ziavi, and the sweet Smell of fruitladen mango trees would always seem to welcome her home.
Throughout the book Enrique is troubled by his motherless childhood. This has lead him to be risky in life because he feels like he has less to live for. This is how he felt on the first few chapters and these feelings stayed with him for the rest of the book. When Enrique was in honduras mentally he was falling apart. This lead to drugs and stealing.
She plays people like cards and uses them to do her bidding and creates tradegy and pain for other characters in the story. When she is not able to do this to a select few, it horrifies and destroys her.
Pam has been through hell and back throughout her life. Her courage is something admired by many. She raised three kids all on her own because of the divorce of a messy marriage. Pam gave everything
One of her main traits is her incredibly strong individuality. In the beginning of the book around chapter 3 she is trying to make her own decisions about joining the selection. When Aspen tries and bring down the mood she takes control. She doesn't let anyone run over her. Kind of like her being head strong.
She even is laughing about falling through the bottom of the rocking chair even though she was worried about injuring herself at the time it happened. And she sends her children through a loop when she decides to raise the juvenile, Wesley, in her home. Her family is totally against her decisions, but she seems to be rather confident in how things have turned out, and has made some large plans for her future. She seems to feel that God has kept her for a reason, and she must give every effort to fulfill His wishes and give aid to Wesley in his time of need.

She allows herself to believe all she is told. She also allows herself to believe that being treated as she is is going to make her better, when in fact it is only making her worse. Her being sent up in a room, like a penitentiary will add loneliness to her illness. Her being told not to write or not to go and see family and friends, again, adds to her loneliness. She is separated from society. Therefore, she feels as though she is alone in society. She gives into the fact that the male-dominated society would rather her alone, than be with lots of women and cause chaos. She gives into everything the world wants instead of listening to her inner self. She ignores herself, causing her to act out in madness. When one does not listen to one's inner self, he or she is then turning away from his or her conscience. It's like the "devil and angel" episode that has been seen in numerous cartoons. If the person listens to the little devil, it will end up being the wrong decision. It the person listens to the little angel, it will be the right decision. The narrator listens to almost neither. She allows what is happening to happen and does nothing but sit back. This would cause anger inside anyone.
because she knows she can be something greater. Her father looks down on her because he
At the age of 20, while she is in college, we can see how her childhood environment had influenced her current state. She tells her friends she is above the genders and does not need human sexuality to give birth. This can be connected to her overprotective environment, particularly when sex and dating were concerned in high school. Her parents had high demands, so she decided to become a politician. There is nothing wrong with being ambitious, but her reasons included switching souls with a senior state senator which gave her access to his thoughts and memories. Her ambition does not stop at being a politician, she also wants to single-handedly save the world from nuclear destruction. This is a prefect example of visions of grandeur success that people often see in their episodes of mania. The reason can be traced back to the over-demanding environment she grew up in.
and she’s shown to be actively rooting for James, Kara and Lucy time and time again. Similarly, Lucy could have easily become the nasty ex-girlfriend, but instead she and Kara become friends. Everyone has depths, even secondary characters you ordinarily wouldn’t expect to see any depths from. And that’s so exciting. And that, in turn, is but one of the many reasons why you should be rooting for this upbeat, zany
“A kindred spirit crazy enough to keep on trying.” This explains why she continues to save Rufus’s life and help the other slaves in ways that could endanger her life. She adapts to the situation at hand, as well as Kevin and she never stops trying to do what she feels is the reason she is there. Kevin never stops looking for her, and never gives up hope of her return. This are reflection and connection to the fact that slaves never gave up on hope that things could change. They worked and worked and prayed and prayed that things would someday be a little bit different, or
makes her seem like she is special and as if she was ‘god sent’. All
Holly is not sure of whom she is yet. She is constantly reminded of her past although she’s still running from it. It angers her when she is given a dose of stability. She wants to find herself on her own, not through those who’ve gotten to know her for such a short while. She wants her independence and to create her own schedules to go with her own everyday life.
My Ella isn’t weak-willed nor is she naive, she may put up a front but only in situations where she needs to protect herself. She’s strong, driven,
