SUBJECT: Leader 's Philosophy

INTRODUCTION: My philosophy is quite simple, treat others how you want to be treated. Any standards that I hold my soldiers to, they can expect the same standards from me. If just one link (team member) of this chains fails to conduct their part of the mission to standard, we all fail. We are all brothers and sisters and we care for each and every member of our team, both past and present.

IMPORTANCE: Every leader has their own philosophy, some similar to others. A leader 's philosophy is important because it sets a standard that soldiers can follow. It clearly states what is expected of them and their peers. A clear commanders’ intent leads to a well-organized battalion. Once everyone is on the same page, training is conducted smoothly.

KEY POINTS: I. Confidence: If you see something wrong, fix it. Do not take the easy way out and be a bystander. Make the decision when you know it is the right thing to do. II. Integrity: Strive to be the best you can be each and every day no matter where the camera is pointing. Integrity is very important in gaining trust from each other. III. Overall Quality of the Soldier: Present an Army Professional Bearing both in and out of uniform. Stay physically fit and stand out as a strong-minded individual. IV. Learn: Ask questions constantly.
