The author’s main point of this essay is that life is unpredictable and we never know what is going to happen. In the story, the author talks about being an EMT and experiencing going to different traumas and how those people never expected to be there. We all make mistakes and we never expect to experience consequences for those mistakes. The author goes on to talk about how random life is and that everything can be taken away from you in a second. She goes on to talk about how being an EMT has opened her eyes to not worry about money or material things but instead we should worry about what we leave behind. This essay spoke to me because in life you’re never granted tomorrow. Things can happen to anyone of us that can put us in harm’s way
