Overcoming an obstacle is a process in which we, as humans, encounter every day. Obstacles come in every shape and form throughout life, with many different levels of difficulty. In my own opinion we can only grow and become more efficient at what we do by meeting and overcoming obstacles. Growing in my personal and professional life is a very important to me and I intend on becoming better in life in all my performances. My plan of action is to be pro-active when utilizing resilience in everyday functions. Resilience allows us to utilize what's in front of us, how our attitude is reflected in times of trial, and how come adapt to overcome obstacles (Harrington, 2012). When life knocks me down with a challenge that seems impossible, I thoroughly
During our lives we come across many difficult times in which we learn important skills. However, our actions choose what skills we've gained. For instance, a person who makes rational choices, keeps aware of what these choices do, and never letting the situation over take them have the characteristics of a resilient perosn. People with resilience have a way of dealing with problems in the most effective way possible, like Louie Zamperini, who was lost at sea for months after his plane malfunctioned and crashed. His fight for survival brought forth these traits and caused him to outlive his situation.
Without it, many things wouldn’t exist today. By overcoming challenges, we learn from our mistakes and are better prepared for our future. Wilbur Wright and Steve Jobs are great examples of showing how resilience is key to achieving success. Next time you are faced with something tough, try your best to not let it get to you. If you are knocked down, get right back up, push through it, and prove how strong you
Scholars define resilience as the outcome of successful adaptation to adversity (Zutra, Hall, & Murray, 2010). Resilience is the ability to recover from adversities challenges in a manner that leaves an individual more flexible and better able to meet future challenges. Resilience involves an ability to react creatively and constructively to change while recognizing that change is an ongoing part of life (Mikail, 2014). Zutra and Hall identify two core dimensions of resilience:
A strong powerful storm has came off the coast of Africa, meteorologist are tracking this storm as it slams over the Atlantic ocean.this storm started off as a tropical storm and built up to a category five+ hurricane.
People have learned to be resilient in order to overcome serious hardships. A person’s resilience can be seen through how they handle bad experiences; to be resilient in the face of adversity. People who never give up and always fight back even when it gets hard are resilient. Some believe that resilience is a trait that can be learned.
Have you ever believed that you are unable to come over an obstacle? If so, then I will tell you that you were wrong. You might not believe me but after getting familiar with some examples of obstacles from my life, you will know it will take only three steps to come over an obstacle. Obstacles have never been easy for young athletes but they are not impossible either. To overcome the obstacle of making onto the sports team of Track and Field, I only needed a strong mindset, massive amount of practice and an abundance of confidence.
Challenges and obstacles are everywhere and no matter what is thrown my way I have to always remind myself that life is always worth living. I've always been one to deal with being nervous about things whether it has been in my personal life or things just not going the way I want them to. I have come to realize that if I just focus and take a breath it relieves even more of the stress and nervousness in my life.
We have covered several interesting topics during these past eight weeks, but chapter 12 Overcoming Obstacle is a chapter; which relates to my life and academic endeavors. When I have conversations with some of my student worker’s, I share some of my testimony. I tell student’s; they can overcome any obstacles by setting goals, surrounding themselves with positive people, and trusting in God.
Life gets in our way sometimes, for some people it’s most of the time. There are people out there that champion life and make it all seem easy. Then, there are people like me, people that can “fake it till you make it”, we have a pretty good poker face. The last group of people just crumble when posed with a problem or encounter an obstacle. Obstacles’ are everywhere, always, however it’s not always the obstacle that concerns people, its others’ reactions to the obstacle and how they overcome it. Whether it’s a relationship issue, a job issue, or a family issue they can all have the same effect on someone and their mental well-being.
In conclusion, overcoming obstacles are thing that we as human being face every day, and turning them to a
Resilience has to do with the process of adapting well in the face of adversity, trauma, tragedy, threats or significant sources of stress such as family and relationship problems, serious health problems or workplace and financial stressors. It means "bouncing back" from difficult experiences. So many times in our lifetime we have come across many difficult situations, itall has to do with getting back up and powering thorhg the many obstacles nthis life. This paper will focus on one piece of vidddes that has to do with resleices. I will answer the signaifacne of this vidoea nd how it can be applied to our own lives.
Everyone wants to be famous, be in charge, be powerful. It is human to reach for more power or authority and that ambition tends to clouds people’s judgement and block who they truly are inside so that they can get what they want. Throughout the play Macbeth, it is evident that ambition will take over a person of power and make them commit evil without considering the consequences because it corrupts the mind of those it consumes. The destructive actions of a person in power with too much ambition are noted in the first two acts of Macbeth.
Resilience is the ability to recover quickly from difficulties, rather than letting a tough situation defeat and discourage you. It becomes a tendency to stay relatively close to what is familiar to us. A part of building your resilience is facing unfamiliar situations. Being productive means getting tasks done and producing results. Motivation means having the will and desire to do something. If you do not have resilience and a growth mindset then staying motivated might become difficult and tasks will not be completed on time, if at

Resilience is “the flexibility in response to changing situational demands, and the ability to bounce back from negative emotional experience” (Harrington, 2012). If everyone could practice resilience they could overcome almost
