Panic! At The Disco and Fall Out Boy Informative Essay Panic! At The Disco and Fall Out Boy are bands that have been around since the early 2000’s.They have each been through at least 4 band members before deciding on the few band members to keep the band’s life Although they haven’t received much attention, they have both released a number of amazing albums, yet the most known are the most recent albums. Panic! At the Disco, or P!ATD, started in Summerlin, Nevada, when Ryan Ross and Spencer Smith decided they wanted to make a career in music. Ross and Smith invited their lifelong friends, Brendon Urie and Brent Wilson to be in the band. P!ATD was originally a Blink-182 cover band before deciding to create their own music. Their first public performance was in a cafeteria in DePaul University in Chicago, Illinois. With their original drummer Ben Rose, and their original guitarist John Flamandon, they were considered as bad and goofy because they were just starting out and had stage fright. Flamandon then quit the band because he felt underappreciated by their small fan base. Trohman introduced Wentz to his high school friend Patrick Stump, and after originally trying out for the drums, Stump became the bands lead singer and guitarist. They then decided to record a proper demo in Wisconsin. Rose quit the band because of work related reasons, and Wentz’ High school friend Andy Hurley decided to help out a friend and become their mew drummer. After a few months, Wentz became depressed and took a handful of anxiety pills. Wentz claimed he wasn’t thinking about killing himself, he just wanted to clear his head. As a result of this, he spent a week in the hospital. After this, in 2010, the band took a hiatus or break. Panic! At The Disco has released five amazing albums since 2004. Their first album, titled A Fever You Can’t Sweat Out, was released on September 27th, 2005 and featured songs such as The Ballad Of Mona Lisa, and Lying Is The Most Fun A Girl Can Have. Their second album was released on March 21st, 2008. This album was titled Pretty. Odd., and had a song titled “She’s A Handsome Woman”.Their third album, Vices and Virtues, was released on January 8th, 2011, and became one of their best known
