Panthera Tigris(commonly named as Tiger) belonging to the Chordate Phylum, is the strongest cat in the world, it can reach up to 3.3m in length and 300 Kg in weight. Despite this, the tiger is considered versatile thus; it can reach up to 10 meters in a jump. Even though people always mention or talk about tigers, they are classified as endangered species with only 3200 tigers in the wild according to the IUCN. The Panthera Tigris are divided into 9 subspecies ( The Indian tiger, the Indochinese tiger, The Malayan Tiger, The Sumatran tiger, the Siberian Tiger, and the South Chinese tiger) with 3 ones being extinct ( which are: The Bali Tiger (1937), The Caspian Tiger (1970), and The Javan Tiger (1990))due to mass killing of tigers. Due to this act, many of the governments made a law that prohibits killing wild tigers or a penalty will be given. Also in response, many wild parks try to protect them from being killed by hunters. The subspecies are divided according to where they live in (ex. The Chinese tiger) there are no differences externally between those tigers except for slight details like the height details and their attitudes. One of the unique features of the Panthera Tigris is that it has Hybrids and different colored ones, which are the Orange, White, and Gold Counterparts.
