Front-runner
In Carolina’s two games this postseason, the Panthers have jumped out to huge leads. Leading 31-0 against the Seattle Seahawks in the Divisional Round and 24-7 against the Arizona Cardinals in the NFC Championship Game at halftime of both games, the Panthers have become accustomed to front-running. Carolina has been a front-running team all year, scoring early and often en route to a league-high 15 wins. If the Panthers can get out to a big early lead against the Broncos, Denver’s offense doesn’t seem equipped to make a big comeback. Carolina quarterback Cam Newton, who was named NFL MVP Saturday night, was the runaway front-runner to win the award after a stellar regular season.

Peyton Manning is 39 years old, and he isn’t the quarterback he once was. Newton is 26 years old and entering his prime. Although Manning is no spring chicken, Carolina’s defense is capable of giving up big plays with key injuries in the secondary. The Panthers defense has Pro Bowlers Luke Kuechly and Josh Norman, but the unit can be thrown on. Can Manning complete deep throws down the field to exploit the Carolina secondary? With speculation that this could be the last game of Manning’s career, will he let loose and take shots downfield? Denver will need big plays from their quarterback to win the …show more content…
The Panthers also have a knack of getting a little complacent and letting their opponents sneak back into the game. Against the New York Giants in the regular season and against Seattle in the playoffs, Carolina held an overwhelming lead but let both teams climb nearly all the way back. In the biggest game of their lives, can the Panthers maintain their composure throughout the entire game? An extra long half-time break and the pre-game hype that surrounds the Super Bowl could be a factor. Manning hasn’t always played well in the big game, just look at the Broncos’ 43-8 loss to the Seattle Seahawks in the Super Bowl two years ago. Yet, Manning’s and his teammates’ Super Bowl experience could be a crucial mental
Mr. BABIN. Mr. Speaker, I rise today to congratulate the Liberty Lady Panther Softball Team for winning the 2018 Texas University Interscholastic League (UIL) 4A High School Softball State Championship! This is the first championship for girl’s athletics at Liberty High School.
Also, the inconsistent play of Broncos' running back C.J. Anderson finally came to an end. This season was expected to be a breakout year for him, and he hasn't met those expectations thus far. Finally, he had the breakout game against the Patriots finishing with 113 yards, and 2 touchdown performance. Anderson was the one who sealed the game in overtime with a 49-yard touchdown run. One could argue that it was the running game that defeated the Patriots, not Osweiler.
Many people from The opposite team think the game was unfair and that the Panthers should have won. The defensive back for the Panthers (POV 6) claims that they were robbed of their victory and that Donnell Wilson didn’t even catch the ball. This person is biased, however, because he was playing for the losing team.
Some people may consider this a close vote, but there should be no reason that "SuperCam" doesn't win. I don't see this race as competitive as others, as Newton has clearly been a league-leading player. Without him, it would be fair to think the Panthers offense would be in the bottom half of the league, and Carolina may have struggled to even make the playoffs. With only one
gets better and better. Next, Cam and the Panthers Have only one loss and are probably going to win the superbowl. Last, every time Cam gets a touchdown he gives the football to a little kid. Those are the reason fans love Cam Newton.
At this point, I think it's fair to say that we would all love to see Ronald Jones grab that starting spot, even with Peyton right there with him. Peyton will get his fair share of touches this year, something that he hasn't really had the chance to do, and with Ronald waiting to prove he can ball at the next level, the 2 of them together are a great tandem. As the preseason approaches, however, let's hope there is less chatter about who the "starting" running back is and more chatter on how productive and diverse the offense can be with both of them on the roster. It's way too early to label starters and the players still have plenty of time to show just how well they are learning this offense. Here we go, another offseason
The Carolina Panthers are a very good football team well I think that even though they just started not that long ago. The Carolina Panthers Are a professional Football team. Some people don´t know that the Panthers are a professional football team.
The Carolina Panthers selected Cam newton as #1 draft pick in 2011. He quickly became the best player in the NFL in 2011 with throwing more than 21 touchdowns and over 4000 yards to earn the Offensive player of the year honors. Ever since he was drafted, he has been one of the league's stars. He also became one of the most dynamic players in NFL history. In 2015, Newton had a career record of 35 touchdowns and only 10 interceptions, and rushed for 10 more touchdowns. He also received the NFL MVP award. He led the panthers to a 15-1 record and made it to the Super Bowl. But then lost in Super Bowl 50 against Payton Manning and the Bronco's.
Why will they win the super bowl people might ask because they have great teamwork skills and have a good offence of coordinator. People might say they don't have anyone good on there team. That would be not true with Demarco Murray , Darren Sproles and Sam Bradford. This three make a good team. They are fast good at screens and can run.
As much as Broncos fans were joyful for the win over the Patriots on November 30th, it only deepened the conundrum that surrounds the mile-high team. This issue lies around Denver’s two quarterbacks, Peyton Manning and Brock Osweiler. Peyton Manning, who once seemed like a paragon for the sport is now slipping from football fame. After leaving the Colts, a team where he had success, Denver seemed like the perfect place to continue his legacy. With eager fans, a strong defense, and a former Bronco QB as general manager, who wouldn’t want join that opportunity. However, football is a challenging and fickle sport, and this winter season especially seems to be a difficult one for Manning. With too many interceptions, and a recent plantar fascia injury to his left foot, he’s
The Super Bowl is the biggest game of the year. This year’s game will be an amazing one. The Eagles will face the Patriots in a rematch of the Super Bowl 13 years ago. The Patriots are the favorite of most, but the Eagles, after a breakout season, are going to give the defending champs all they can handle. Here’s why:
A native man being called a redskin, first time he’d ever heard the word and being offended by it.Now, that same word is the name of a football team known as The Washington Redskins.Ole Miss Rebels, a football team, had to rename the team in order to not be racist towards African Americans. The Washington Reskins, years after knowing people were emotionally hurt by the name, kept it.Many Natives protest and refuse to be a mascot, but yet the name is still on their jerseys. The Washington Redskins are aware that they are invidious to some Native Americans, but fail to change the name and feel the need to keep it.
The NFL like all other sports went through an expansion draft in 1995 allowing the Carolina Panthers to become an NFL franchise. Thus allowing the growth of one of the more underrated fan bases to be born. Although, I wasn't born early enough to see this franchise from the beginning I've been around long enough to learn the Queen city loves their Panthers no matter what! This franchise has been through it all the magical Super Bowl run with the cardiac cats 2003 and a few forgettable years most recently a 2-14 showing in 2010. It wasn't all lost because we were able to draft our franchise quarterback Cam Newton and bring optimism to the Queen City once again! Through all that this fan base has stayed loyal and are beginning to see consistent
The Florida Panther is currently an endangered species of cougar that resides in the southern forests and swamps of Florida. While it is a species of the cougar, it is identified as a panther to be able to clearly distinguish between the other southernmost species of cougar in the United States. The Florida Panther is a carnivore with a diet based on the animals native to their region such as deer, wild hogs, and other small game like rabbits or raccoons. Normally they are solitary animals, their homes range from 75-150 square miles of terrain, and while some homes may overlap it will not be by a lot. This overlap normally comes from females, for mating reasons but due to them being solitary, they are extremely aggressive towards other males
The owners and coaches can only do so much to prepare the team for the game, it is up to the team to be able to mentally and physically execute and be able to win the game. The vision in this case is coming form the middle so to speak. John Elway isn't the president of the team, but he is one of the major motivating forces of the ball club. His personal vision started last year when he wanted to lead his team to and win the Super Bowl for the first time in his career, and at least sometime before he retired. He accomplished this and already this year he is talking about "when our team is 16 and 0", like it is definitely going to happen. This team is electric and you can see it in the way they are all playing. Nobody gives in even a little, even deep into the fourth quarter where other teams defenses begin to tire. Terrell Davis, Shannon Sharpe, and the whole team are rallying around this vision and show no signs of letting up, as they go into the last part of the season, which is usually the most difficult as teams are plagued by injury and mental fatigue. John Elway is really instrumental in all this as he continually looks forward, articulating his vision, and setting future goals, both of which are clearly shared by the whole team.
