Drinking age is not a strange phrase in our lives. Every time when we go to club or buy some liquor, we have to show our photo ID to prove that we have already 21 and we are legal to drink wine. I think this is a really good method to control drinking problem. Before I read these two articles which are “The 21-Year-Old Drinking Age: I Voted for it, It Doesn’t Work” by Dr. Morris E. Chafetz and “The Drinking Age of 21 Saves Lives” by Toben F. Nelson and Traci L. Toomey, I only felt that when people grow up they will have self-control to hold their desire for drinking and could decide whether it is appropriate to drink at that moment. Company Q’s attitude towards social responsibility appears to be nonexistent, possibly through ignorance or disconcert. Either way the lack of social responsibility affects their business and community’s perception of their business. It appears that the company management has never developed and ethics program that clearly defines the corporate culture including provisions for social responsibility. Profits, or at least a lack of losses appears to be a primary motivating factor for company Q's management’s decisions. Company Q has been attempting to cut losses by closing stores that were losing money instead of finding innovative ways to

1. You recently retired from government contracting work and established a consulting company (fully consistent with government ethics laws and rules, of course) with the primary focus of advising potential government contractors and subcontractors. Mr. Johnny Jones, of The Johnny Jones Flooring and Construction Company has approached you with a question. Jones and his company are potential subcontractors (they, obviously, specialize in flooring) on a federal construction contract worth a little over two million dollars ($ 2,000,000.00) recently awarded to the Jimmy Smith Construction Company (Jimmy Smith, the prime contractor). Neither Johnny nor his company have ever been part of a government contract
Unit 12 deals with teaching productive skills. Productive skills are speaking and writing. They are both used to communicate. Speaking requires fluency and writing requires accuracy. Accuracy activities are usually part of the study phase, they are concerned with producing correct language, they are controlled by the teacher. Fluency activities are part of an activate phase and they are concentrated on flow of communication, and speaking without stopping. They are less controlled. Speaking activities can be controlled or guided and creative communication. Controlled activities are accuracy based (e.g. drilling), guided are also accuracy based, but more creative (e.g. model dialogues), while creative communication is fluency based, the teacher
The petitioner raises multiple issues regarding the IRS' final rule and interpretation of the provision regarding tax credits for taxpayers payers signed up in "an exchange established by the state." The IRS' final rule stated that the provision pertained to both state and federal exchanges. Petitioner argues that the phrase "established by the state," refers to just the states that have their own exchanges, and not the federal exchange. Therefore, the petitioners would not be eligible for the tax credits, and would not be required to maintain insurance coverage since the cost would exceed eight percent of their income.
