The Parenthood film depicts average family that are changing life course which is the building block of many families. We have the father and mother with marital disfigurations of attachments, and lack of attachment between themselves and the relationships involving their four adult children and grandchildren. Furthermore, in this paper a description of accepting the shift generational roles and Structural Theory is analyzed and discussed in an article moreover, the Buckman’s family members accept financial responsibility for self and their families. The movie parenthood is a typical illustration of developmental psychology in early childhood, middle childhood as well as adulthood. Ecological system and the role of subsystems, socioeconomical status and parenting style is clearly portrayed in it the Buckman family in it. Gil Buckman is a 35 year-old father of three. He works as executive in sales while his wife; Karen stays at home and cares for their children. Their children names are: Kevin, Justin and daughter Taylor. Kevin is the eldest son, while Justin is the youngest. Gil tries to make balance between his career and family. He was not happy about his Kevin because Kevil looks insecure and unconfident. As a result his father thinks he was the reason for his son`s failure.

The movie is centered in the family of Gil and Karen, and their extended family. Set in a middle-class white society, the anxieties and pains of raising children are presented in the movie. Gil Buckman is a parent and businessman. His wife, Karen, comes out as a nearly perfect parent, and always stays at home. Gil and Karen have three children. Parenthood (1989) is a movie that deals with family life and the stages of human development. Gil Buckman is the father of three children Kevin, Taylor and Justin Buckman. Also, the husband of Karen Buckman. He works at a firm where he thinks he is on the track for a partnership. He coaches Kevin team in baseball and wants to be a better father than his dad. Also, he cares a lot about what other people think. In this movie Gil goes through a couple of stages dealing with his career, family, household and marriage.

In the movie Parenthood it is about just what you may think, family. In every one there are complications to maintaining a stable, happy home. There are times where you may think that you have lost control of your relationship and your own life. In this film, that is what it showcases. Reality. Life. Not everything is going to go the way you planned, thus causing you to think your whole world is coming down on you. The main points the director emphasized that caught my attention in this movie were adversity, denial and exhaustion.

The film I decided to watch was, A Mile in His Shoes which was directed by William Dear and screen wrote by Frank Nappi and Jason Koornick (2011). This movie was very inspiring as an adult with Asperger’s syndrome is the main character. Asperger’s syndrome is a type of autism that is more of a social disorder (Gargiulo, R. M. & Bouck, E, 2018). These individuals have trouble in social situations whether that is making friends or just talking one on one with a family member. There are many characteristics that describe an individual as having Asperger’s syndrome. Most of these characteristics were displayed throughout the film through the character Mickey Tussler. In this paper, I will discuss the signs and symptoms of Asperger’s syndrome through the eyes of Mickey, a professional minor league baseball player as well as how he was treated by his parents, coach and teammates. I will lastly reflect on how I felt about A Mile in His Shoes regarding their portrayal of Asperger’s syndrome.

The characters of the film Parenthood, all come to face many difficult encounters that cause disruption within each subfamily. This pushes the Buckman family to their limits and causes each subfamily to evolve and better themselves. The family includes Gil Buckman, a perfectionist and a father of three children; Kevin, the oldest; Taylor, the middle child; Justin, the youngest; and Karen, Gils Wife. Another Subfamily includes Helen; Gils sister, a single mom with two children; Gary, the youngest child; Julie the oldest; Tod Higgins, Julie 's boyfriend/ husband. This paper will address each of the two Buckman subfamilies evolution, the dynamics of the change, strategies for coping with change, and how each family member handles and adapts to change in their families.

Her life becomes a lot more complicated when she finds out she is pregnant. Farrah’s best friend turns on her spreading nasty rumors, forcing Farrah to finish school online. Farrah's ex-boyfriend, also the baby's father, begins to harass her after he finds out she is pregnant which leads her to change her number. “I would have never lost my virginity to someone I believed would treat me like this,” Farrah exclaims about her ex-boyfriend. Farrah struggles with single motherhood and has to deal with a judgmental parent who looks down upon her decisions. Episode two again reinforces traditional American cultural beliefs of female gender roles by portraying the woman as the single mother, ultimately responsible for the child, showing the girl dealing with emotional problems while trying to hold the family together, tasks and situations often associated with femininity. These images become engrained on a young viewers minds and being sixteen and pregnant becomes just another fad for young girls to consider.

The movie Parenthood is a great movie to watch. It delivers a good message about parenting, life struggles, and love. Just as grandma stated that life was like a roller coaster, up and down, up and down. Each sibling of the Buckman family has struggles in his or her own family. Helen Buckman, as a single mom stands out the most to me.

Together they are raising three children, Kevin, Taylor and Justin. Helen is a single mother of two teenagers, Julie and Gary. There is an ongoing argument about the funding of Planned Parenthood in the United States. There are many reasons that some people do not want to fund it. One of those reasons is because Planned Parenthood offers abortions to women. There are people who believe that these operations should be shut down to rid our country of abortions. However, Planned Parenthood offers much more than just abortions in their clinics. Planned Parenthood should be funded because of the examinations and resources they provide, the education they give, and because it is a low income health center.

Parenthood is akin to presidency, the parents' progeny being their country's citizens. I will summarize the stands of both Pro-Life advocates and Pro-Choice, by presenting arguments from organizations, authors, and journal articles from each side. As well as give a brief history on abortion and a look at the laws that govern this issue not only here at home but around the world.
