W alther Schäffer, turning his attention away from the other members of Dritte Zug, took a glance of the time being kept on a pocket watch he happened to have on his person. The time on the pocket watch read 11:55PM, as suggested by the big and little hands of the clock being in the 11:45 position. Moreover, it had only been a few hours prior to their arrival at the Dweller city of Venice. Putting it aside, he observed the others in his group. Across the room, he saw Dietrich Gerber lying on a clean hospital bed, his condition having been stabilized several minutes earlier. Not wanting to waste any time, Giuseppe remained at the corner of the doorway. He occasionally popped out to keep the She-Wolf pinned down, who was taking cover from behind an overturned table. At the same time, Lester and Walther went off to find a way to flank the sniper. Heading inside the room adjacent the one where the lone Dweller Partisan sniper was in, Walther and Lester discovered a part of the wall blown open. The destroyed part of the wall was large enough to allow someone standing upright to walk past it. Much to their amazement, they also saw She-Wolf taking cover behind the overturned table, making a few shots at Giuseppe in retaliation. In an instant, Lester and Walther took cover behind opposite sides of the destroyed wall. They waited for an opportune moment to …show more content…
Each member of Dritte Zug, carefully and cautiously, made their way inside. In due time, once they were all inside, they all split up into two separate teams and began searching the entire building. Attention was especially given in regards to who was still alive, and who was killed due to enemy action. Much to their shock and dismay, the members of the RGA’s 240th Feldjäger Abteilung were all killed from what appeared to have been a major firefight. Upon gathering all of their findings, everyone in Walther’s group then assembled in the garage of the motor pool, where there was also the presence of two parked ambulances built on the chassis of pickup trucks and a few dead Ryanite bodies. “So, not one of them survived, is that correct?” an inquisitive Walther Schäffer asked all of his cohorts. No surprise, the others came back to tell him about the lack of any survivors. “Well, that’s a shame,” he admitted, “And we came all this way, thinking that we might be able to save them in time.” Brünnhilde told him in a flat tone, “It was not they were going to last long, Walther. If anything, this position is not that far from the only entranceway that leads to St. Denis

Dominick Cardiane, pushing a wheelbarrow, had stopped for a moment in front of the doors of the Asch building freight elevator in the middle of the Greene Street block. He heard a sound "like a big puff," followed at once by the noise of crashing glass. Reporter Shepherd, about to cross from the park into Washington Place, also heard the sound. He saw smoke issuing from an eighth-floor window of the Asch building and began to

There were four inventions that changed manufacturing and the way people worked. Some inventions included the spinning Jenny, Crompton’s Mule, and the Self acting Mule, and the Water Frame. “In 1764, Hargreaves invented a new spinning wheel. He called it the spinning jenny in honor of his wife. This simple machine allowed one spinner to work six or eight threads at a time.” (course reader 102) The Spinning Jenny was a machine that helped the people sew clothes faster. Then came Cromptons Mule, “In 1779, Samuel Crompton combined features of the spinning jenny and the water-frame
The mission was soon to begin. Fletcher and Marcel, along with the rest of their Unit were to breach through the main entrance, while the other Units would go through the sides of the warehouse and through the back. All leaders of each Unit were given some sort of intercom so that they could communicate. Fletcher had heard one of the commanders announce that they were ready and another voice responded, “Begin.” The leader put his intercom away and pulled a breaching device from its cartridge. Without being said, they all backed up as he attached the device to the doorway. Without hesitation, he detonated the charge. BOOM! Debris and dust flew everywhere. And just like that, they were
This paper will try to explore two theories of the beltway sniper. The first is the conflict theory and the second is the psychological theory. There will be summarizing of the crime (dates, offenders, how they were caught if they were). The two theories will try to explore the crime. Each of the theory will shed light on the reasons for the crime. For this paper, I will provide evidence to which theory seems to be stronger. I will also show any evidence that will lead to the deviant path that was taken. I will be explaining how you determine the path that was taken for the crime. An author’s main goal is to have the reader intrigued by the text with suspenseful and/or dramatic scenes happening throughout the story. Adversity is when people have to overcome a problem even though it might be hard for them to do. Overcoming a problem can make people stressed out or nervous that they are doing something wrong. Liam O’Flaherty made The Sniper from “The Sniper” face many hard times throughout the story. While The Sniper was protecting himself from danger, Richard Connell made Rainsford from “The Most Dangerous Game” run from his own game. The Sniper faced adversity by being in the military and making the decision to kill people who were after him. Rainsford faced a problem when a psycho man would not let him leave the island until he made it 3 days without getting hunted. People need to
