Passed Experience Of Drugs In Songs

Drugs were the main themes for both of the songs. The song “No More” talks about the passed experience of the singer on drugs and how amazing the drugs he took felt, whereas the song “The Pusher” talks about how he would want to destroy drugs and that it does not give him a good feeling. Both songs are written about passed experience of both the singers on drugs but then have recovered from drug addiction. The first verse of “No More” is:
Where did the magic go?
I searched high and low
I can’t find it no more
I can’t get it back

This part of the lyrics describes that the singer is asking where has his craving for drugs that make him feel good went and that he tried searching it high and low but he can’t find it and can’t get back that good feeling he got from the drugs. This shows that the singer has overcome his drug addiction. In the song “The Pusher” has a part:
Lord, will sell you lots of sweet dreams
Ah, but the pusher ruin your body
Lord, he’ll leave your, he’ll leave your mind to scream. …show more content…

The lyrics from both songs show that the singers that they are addicted to drugs, and they are aware how drugs could lead to health problems. The song “No More” explains how the singer is recovering from drug abuse. The verse “Seemed like the easy thing / To let it go for one more day” means that it might seem easy to go pass one more day without taking drugs but its not. The song “The Pusher” explains how much the singer hated the dealer that sells Marijuana. The verse from this song “Oh but the pusher is a monster” points out that dealer that sells hard drugs such as heroin is a “monster”. (WIKI)
