Action Plan
In your role as a School Chaplain, you experience apathy and hostility to religion which is demonstrated as a deep ingrained suspicion of your motives and ministry. How would you deal with this prevailing attitude and change the culture and ethos of the workplace, so you can function effectively in your chaplaincy/pastoral care role?

Can lead to physical discomfort and illness (Colbert, 2003, p. 50). Can lead to violence or aggression.
All of these would have a negative impact on the work of the chaplain, staff security/safety as well as the general atmosphere of the workplace. You are correct in your observation as anger is such a potentially destructive force that can dictate behaviours often in people who are unaware of their motivations.
Disappointment Leads to feelings of helplessness, hopelessness, demotivation, apathy and resentment (Dale, 1984, p. 86).
Effect willingness/ability to engage in activities/programs that would be helpful.
All of these would have a negative impact on the work of the chaplain, staff morale and motivation and the atmosphere of the workplace. Definitely!

Thank you for sharing your thoughts regarding why organizations fail and spirituality in the workplace. While many organizations make the claim that God is a stakeholder, these words are of non-effect unless the leader first partakes in whatever is necessary to ensure the followers share the vision and are led by example.
Duscuss the impact of the ACA and the IMPACT act on long term care arcross the continuum of care.
Many people of religion feel an obligation towards their religion and want to reinforce it. A point has been made that allowing a member of the LGBT community to work with them would violate this obligation. In a catholic hospital or school their religious freedom would allow them to terminate an employee based on sexual orientation because of their moral obligation. It is also argued that employers should not be able to, because a person’s sexual orientation would not effect their ability to perform a
In this assignment, I will be explaining the potential hazards and the harms that could emerge within a health and social care setting. Hazards and risks are things that must be monitored in every setting, especially those within health and social care. Hazards and risks are different, as hazards are objects or situations which have the potential to harm someone, whereas a risk is the possibility that a person will be harmed or gain injuries due to being exposed to the hazard.
This essay will reflect upon an incident that occurred whilst in placement at a Unit for Clients with behaviour and learning needs, and associated autistic difficulties. Clients are both sexes and range in age from four to eighteen. It will be undertaken, defining person centred care in relation to the incident, it will demonstrate awareness to roles and responsibilities of professionals in meeting the needs of the client and it will demonstrate the importance of inter-professional collaboration and discuss the issues that facilitate or act as barriers in this partnership.
Pastoral Care provides the essentials to support the African Americans and is most vital to their experience in the United States in addition, providing survival and coping skills, leading to worship. Black worship provided slaves with valuable psychological and emotional remedies, which enabled them to combat slavery's annihilation of their sense of self-worth. Today, the "Balm in Gilead" is still the authentic comfort, which helps to maintain sanity and balance in the African Americans world of alienation, traditionalized, and incapability. To be concise, Black worship has always been associated with pastoral care, providing members with comfort and healing.

consequences of fighting and that if one chooses to be violent, chances are that they will get hurt.
It’s clear that some level of cognitive dissonance is occurring at the GSU. In this case, the staff states that the reason they entered the nursing profession was to help people. However, they feel as if they are being asked to perform their duties in such a way that conflict with those beliefs. For example, they are spending less time caring for patients and more time filing paperwork and handling administrative tasks. This dissonance is leading to negative attitudes around the workplace. Additionally, the emotional labor present in a hospital setting, compared to that of an office or factory
As part of assessment of the older adult and other population’s module, I have been asked to write a piece on a person centred care model. As the name implies person centred care is delivering individualised care which meets the needs of that particular person, be they religious, emotional, physiological needs etc. As a person they are entitled to respect, dignity, compassion and autonomy, which are central to the concept of person centred care. ”The rights of individuals as persons is the driving force behind person centred healthcare” (McCormack, 2003). In 1991, the UN made explicit the Principles for Older Persons; these include independence, participation, care, self-fulfilment and dignity. These principles are closely

A community care coordinator works with high-risk patients and manages their care, giving them incredibly delicate responsibilities. Their duties include conducting preventative patient screenings, evaluating each patient’s current care plan, collecting and reporting patient data and coordinating continuing care when a patient enters or leaves the hospital.
It is important to remember when developing a plan of care to use a holistic approach, which includes psychological, social, and community (Amer, 2013). Ideally, the extent to which family is involved should be a decision made by the patient when possible, but with children and patients with altered mental status this is not always feasible. When patients are not able to make decisions for themselves this responsibility falls on their family and loved ones, and healthcare providers need the family involvement in planning care for the patient. The involvement of family and friends in a patient’s plan of care correlates to the social aspects of holistic care, and this provides the patient with support to ask for help in making decisions and gives everyone involved an overall
Strategies displayed by frontline staffs in service roles may increase bad outcomes by activating negative idea like emotive dissonance and self-alienation.
Keeping the faith is such an all-important aspect in my school; however, the beliefs in my faith have brought an uncomfortable repercussion. Tolerant people are in my school and for them, I am grateful, but intolerant people are also in my school and for them, I am not so grateful. I have ascertained ways to cope and work with such people. Working with people who view your existence as a bane is no easy task, but yet, I have accomplished such a feat. It's hard to work with these people, but it's life, and I am certainly going to experience another occasion like
