Living Biography Pat Skillington
1. My grandma's name is pat Skillington. She was born in August. 30,1952. The place she was born in was St.Louis Missouri. She is my favorite grandma, she always likes to cook with me.
2.Her dad, William hershal dover, was born in November. 15, 1928. He also was born in St.louis Missouri. And her mom, Margret dover, was also born in St. Louis Missouri. She was born December. 10, 1926.
3. She had no brothers or sisters. She only had a lot of cousins. There would be a certain few cousins that would get in a lot of trouble. There was also one cousin who always would bring wild animals inside. She once kept an animal as a pet.

Her hobbies were to draw nature and oil paint. She also liked to sew clothes and purses. She is also interested in crotchet. She crochets blankets and scarves. She taught me how to sew too.
6. My grandma has few favorite teachers. Her favorite teachers are Mrs. Otrosky, a kindergarten teacher, and her art teacher, Mrs. Flan. Her two daughters had the same language arts teacher as me when they where in school.
7. My grandma didn't have much to play with when she was a kid. She had a couple toys that she would always play with. Her favorite toys are the etch a sketch and stilts that her best friends dad made.
8. When she was a teen she went to many different schools. She first went to St. Mary school, then St. Lawrence, Pattenville and university of Missouri. Her favorite subject in school was art. She graduated Pattenville high school in 1970. She took art for 4 years in high school.

She had a few after school activities like art club and she worked at her dads shop. She would sweep the floors, restock the shelves and work the cash register. Her college training was art and music. She went to the university of Missouri for 3 years from 1970-1973. Her church that she goes to is Jerome christian church( went to Catholic Church when she was a little girl).
16. She had many jobs. She first worked at her dads scuba shop, a teachers aid, worked at a fabric store foe a year, 2 insurance agencies, a substitute teacher for the elementary, a sewing teacher at the store and at home, a reading volunteer at the elementary and worked in communication property rating policy's.
17. Her first car was a 1970 red chevy vega. It also had black racing stripes. Her first car accident was hitting a deer in the country. Her head lights were broken. She was 26 and pregnant with her first daughter at the time. She had two kids the oldest, Jessica and the youngest, Jennifer.
18. She had lots of vacations. She went to bar harbor in Maine. She also visited the grand canyon, Hawaii, Norway and saw pearl harbor in in Hawaii. She also went to Michigan and Florida on vacations with her

She studied at Town Hall School in Sun Prairie before her high school years. She was sent to two different boarding schools in Wisconsin, Sacred Heart Academy and Madison High School. When the O’Keefes moved to Virginia in 1905, she attended and graduated high school at Chatham Episcopal Institute, which is also a boarding school. She furthered her studies at different colleges including the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Columbia University, University of Virginia and the Art Students League of New York. She was also a teaching assistant at Columbia University.
She attended Rancocas Valley Regional High School in Mount Holly Township. As a kid, she was sent to the principal a lot for talking and for being the class clown. She attended Rider college in her home state New Jersey for two years and planned to become a teacher so she got her secondary education degree. But to get her Bachelors she went to the University of Alabama, where she met her husband, and achieved it in political science and history. After a while in teaching she realized that she had developed at love for writing and decided to try it as a side job for extra money. She then moved to Omaha, Texas for a few months. She moved to Texarkana, Texas in 1960, while living in Texarkana she has moved around town 6 times. My grandmother did not attend college, but with that said she has had some amazing jobs. Her first job when she was 17 was a retail clerk at Barkers. She then got married to James Kenneth Hicks on November 3, 1964. They had their two children Kimberly Ann Hicks, who was born on August 30, 1965; and Lisa Dawn Hicks who was born on June 15, 1969. While they were growing up my grandmother was the home maker for the family. In 1970 she became a senses taker, then the Admin Assistant for a Campaign Manager, after that she became the scheduler for Governor Mike Huckabee. Her final job she had was at Patton and Roberts Law Firm, where she had several different jobs, the position she had last was a Legal Assistant.
She was around the age of 7 years old when she was put on a ship heading for America.
