Enjoyment was the second main reason for male students whereas weight loss was the second main reason for doing exercise given by female students. More female students liked to do gentle exercise whereas males choose more intensive exercises. The study supports the hypothesis that partially supports the hypothesis that enjoyment was the second most reason for male students and weight loss was the main reason for female after health/fitness. Also more females choose doing less intensive exercise than males. A possible implication of this study is that Health Organizations or any other authority for the promotion of physical fitness by doing exercise. INTRODUCTION

In this 21st century, life is becoming busier at work, social connections or in household works. Thus people have no time to maintain their physical health. Overseas students who are studying in Australia nowadays have very busy life at their jobs or study. They cannot manage time for their physical well-beings. As exercise is very essential for remaining healthy, jogging or running will bring positive effects on their body and will lead them to a healthy life.
Several studies have been conducted on frequency, intensity of exercise and the reasons for doing exercise. In a study conducted by Australian Bureau of Statistics (2007) concerned with frequency of exercise showed that most of the females loved doing exercise more than twice a week.
