November 5th was a day of glory and amazement. The Darien Ice Rink in Darien Illinois was the sight of an absolute upset. On that day, my Northern Cyclones team beat the infamous Chicago Mission at the Bauer Invite. The Bauer Invite is the preeminent hockey tournament in the United States and the Chicago Mission is a top ranked national hockey team. Ever since I was pee wee I have admired the Chicago Mission. Their players were always the best of the best and inevitably moved on to playing college hockey. At the time of the game, the Mission was ranked 5th in the country while my team was ranked 32nd. Their players have always been strong, fast and extremely skilled. When the puck dropped, it was the fastest game I had ever participated
On July 30th the day started and their first win was an 11-0 win ,but the dissection on our team minds was not the win. On how I stood up a kid when he tried to hit me after the whistle.
I remember that day as if it was like yesterday, it was a warm day, the sun shining, and it was the perfect weather for us to play in. The important day for the Iowa-Grant Panther Softball 5th and 6th grade team, it was our championship game.
“The city was hidden by that awful cloud . . . boiling up, mushrooming, terrible and incredibly tall," said Colonel Paul Tibbets, pilot of the modified B-29 bomber that dropped the world’s first atomic bomb over Hiroshima. The bombings resulted in the death of thousands, including not only Japanese citizens, forces, and military but also American captive soldiers. In the midst of World War II the United States forced Japan to surrender by dropping bombs in the major cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. They released the second atomic bomb shortly after, in Nagasaki, Japan.
Do you think billy the kid (Henry McCarty Jr.) took a stand? Most people wouldn't think he does because he kills and he robs places. But that’s why because people don't see the good side of him like how he stood up for his boss or how when he stole butter as a kid he did it for his city. Billy the Kid moved to Arizona briefly before joining up with a gang of gunfighters called The Boys to fight in the Lincoln County War. Known as “The Kid” Billy switched to the opposition to fight with John Tunstall under the name “The Regulators”. Barely escaping with his life, McCarty became an outlaw and a fugitive. He died on July 14th, 1881 in Fort Sumner, New Mexico. He was born November 23, 1859, in New York City. Billy the kid had sandy blond hair and blue eyes and wore a signature sugar-loaf sombrero hat with a wide decorative band. He could be charming and polite one moment, then outraged and violent the next, a quixotic nature, he used to great effect during his heists and robberies.”
way up to his cell. Bob Olinger died with 36 buckshot in his belly. Billy mounted his horse, rode out of town without a single confrontation, and the Kid was free once agian.
I heard the Mavericks ball kid team is the best in the NBA, and I would like to be apart of that team. Being a ball kid would be amazing, incredible, and a fascinating person to be! Especially since we get to serve the fans and assist the Mavericks staff! There are many reasons why I would like to become a ball kid and qualities I possess that would make me a good one!

William H. Bonney, who was also known as Billy the Kid and also known as Henry Antrim, was born November 23, 1859. He had slim physique, blue eyes, and sandy blonde hair. These features along with his childish face are why he got the nickname “Kid”. August 1st 2007 I was 9 years old and I had been playing football for 2 years, my coaches was head coach Paul and then there was the two assistant coaches my dad and coach Bill. When I was in Peewee football I was bigger than all the other kids I guess they haven’t had got bigger yet.
Football has been a relatively successful part of my life so far. Every team I have participated with has been quite fortuitous, but with only one team we won it all. When I played with MAMFA (Mountain Area Midget Football Association) my team went nearly the whole season without losing a game with a record of 11-1. We were the best team in the league. If we were the best however, why did we lose that game?
With their unconditional love and affection, dogs leave unique paw prints on our hearts. I am deeply attached to my own little canine friend, Peanut. Peanut is a rather rotund and energetic chihuahua who is a big part of our family. We endearingly call him our “fat chihuahua.” Like most owners, it’s my deepest wish to have Peanut live a long healthy life being absolutely loved and cared for. I have no doubt that Peanut will be leaving a permanent paw print on my heart that reminds me daily of all his cute antics and sweet kisses. While I can’t bear to even think of a day without him, I am grateful for all the joy he gives to me today.
Where will Pony Boy go- foster home or stay with blood relatives? Pony Boy makes good grades in school, but he is a member of a gang. He is a greaser with long hair and bad behavior. "My hair longer than a lot of boys wear theirs, squared off and in back and long at the front and sides, but I am a greaser and most of my neighborhood rarely bothers to get a haircut.
“I don’t blame you for writing of me as you have. You had to believe other stories, but then I don’t know if anyone would believe anything good of me anyway,”-Billy the Kid. Although many people believe Billy the kid was a bad person, there are many stories of Billy that make him seem like a carefree and funny person. Billy the Kid had to overcome lots of obstacles in his life and those hardships are what made him a bad person. “Billy’s real name was Henry McCarty,he was also known as William H. Bonney” (2 “Billy”). Many rumors have been stated about Billy the Kid for years, but what is the real life of Billy the Kid?
Donald Gaskins, also known as Pee Wee, was a serial killer who came from a troubled childhood. He was picked on at school and beaten by his stepfather at home. As a teenager, he and his other two friends would commit criminal acts such as breaking into homes and raping young boys. The trio did this for some time until they were finally caught in an instance of gang rape. After the men were caught gang raping a young girl, they split up and two members moved away.
Everyone could feel the tension in the air. We took the field to the packed stands and the lights. It was something unforgettable. The pregame ended and the game was to begin. As the game began it was very close. It went goal by goal all through the first half. We would score, they would score, and this continued to end the half 5-5. I had scored 2 of these 5 goals. At halftime, we knew as a team we would have to pick it up to pull ahead. This was the biggest game of the year and we could not let it slip. The second half began and we traded goals to bring the score to 8-8, me scoring two more goals. We were working great as a team but we ran into a bump. One of our best offensive players, Marty got injured so we would have to finish the game without him. As he came off, he pulled me aside and said “This game is on you. You got this.” Him saying this was a huge inspiration because of how good of a player he was. I knew that I would have to out work Plymouth if we
