There is a readily identifiable relationship between the 21st century and technology. Currently, technology is being embraced to perform certain duties such as enjoyment, communication, researching, workforce, and for transport purposes. Some people are not addicted to technology while others are addicted. Some people hate using technology in everything they do while others prefer the use of technology on hourly basis. Therefore, technology has become one of the contemporary topics that are available for heated debate from technological critics. However, the point is that overdependence on digital content is not the only way to solve accessibility issues. In the near future, almost all print companies will deliver their products digitally to their consumers. This approach will impact negatively on the people who do not possess the mobile computer devices. It is also expensive to acquire such devices for the purpose of accessing digital print media content.
Students have developed laziness because of technology. They no longer use the traditional classroom texts, dictionaries, and other academic sources found in the library and bookshops. Currently, every students shouts “Google!” Google has everything that a student needs for academic purposes. Google provides answers to all questions that students and other people require with regards to their areas of specialization. It is unfortunate that some people plagiarize content from the Internet for personal purposes. They do not mind infringing on the copyright rules and regulations. The other problem is that research skills are deteriorating due to the inability of students to use printed academic materials as sources of information. They only rely on less intensive and “shallow” online content that is easily accessible.
