Do you think that performing artist should serve in military during war, why or why not. I think that all performing artist should, like everyone, have a the right to choose. I don’t think that anyone should be forced into the military. I think that if a performing artist has to go into military, then so should anybody running for presidency. They have the same amount of rights as any other human beings. So why should the performing artist have to if nobody above them have to?
Singers, painters, dancers, etc, everyone of them chose those things because of the love they have for the art. They choose to do those things. Military men choose to fight for their country, they chose that because of the love for their country. The presidents chose
This article was written by the government so I know it is very reliable and trustworthy. Since I could not find any reliable sources that disagree with my topic I chose to use this source that explains why there were budget cuts against the arts, and the arguments for and against it. This article also gives statistics from over the years on how much the government spent on performing arts programs, and how their budget went down slowly over time. Additionally, this article discusses why performing
To start, “Should Musicians Change Their Tune” I allege that they should allow performer in advertisement because it helps them promote their music. Due to, Jacob Carter author of “The Changing Landscape of the Music Business” quotes “Others
For example, let's say that he did join the All City Band and they were going to get a record deal if they were good enough. He could become famously known, he would be doing incredible things. He would be living a dream many people have, and quite possibly one he may have for himself. He should
KC: I chose music--or should I say--music chose me. Music has always been my first love and my passion, and I just feel so grateful that I now get to call this my job
My life would be incomplete without performing music. I’ve spent time, in concert bands, in bell choirs, in school and church choirs, and singing, playing in music festivals, and in pit bands trying not to laugh my head off at the actors’ improvisations. But the art that truly speaks to my soul does not lie in creating music, it lies in dancing to it.
The United States Military Protects our Freedom: More men and women volunteers are need for the military.
In a world of conformity like our United States military, the lack of originality becomes overly abundant. The ideas that flow in a non-traditional setting produce beautiful art, timeless music, and priceless entertainment. It never hurts to ask the opinion of the least likely candidate for the answer because it is difficult to determine what the opinion will be.
In the article “American Civil War Music”, it speaks about how it inspired many young Americans to enlist in the army because often times, bands were required to play at recruitment rallies. They were a great incentive to recruiting, inspiring young men to enlist just because they felt heroic.
The Profession of Arms: The Role of Human Resources Sergeant in the Profession of Arms
Musicians are protected under the First Amendment equally as any citizen in the United States of America. They deserve the same basic human rights we all practice, "however the freedom of expression has special relevance for musicians (Hald 1 of 8). "This offers a special protection of musicians against arbitrary censorship and persecution" (Hald 1 of 8). Not only does censorship of music threaten the freedom of speech, but it also threatens a musician's right to promote their work through free enterprise. "Musicians have the freedom to play music in public or private domains, give concerts, and release CDs" (Hald 1-2 of 8). Some concert
In the article “Music and Function” written by Will Earhart, the author argues the point of how music’s functionality extends deeper into humanity that one would think and that the value of music is overlooked. One of his earliest beliefs concur that “music for dancing, for marching, and for arousing and stimulation emotions…” are typically common thoughts with the purpose of music. He counteracts this by using the example of “… the use of music as an aid to every phase of the war effort” which basically means that other than entertainment music has aided the government in relating and supporting its war, war veterans which is an excellent point. Although, he briefly discusses the toping of a songs value or “musical worth”. The author tells
This amendment gives people the right to voice their opinion and speak out in what they do and do not believe in and gives them the right to express themselves. Expression equals art and there is no question that music is an art form. The act of censoring music is the same as if we told Picasso what colors he could or could not use.
After learning about all the careers in music, people can learn how music is shared with the world. Most do not think about how many different careers there are in music. If someone asked me what career I would enjoy, I would answer the manager. I would want to be the manager, because I am very responsible and would enjoy helping the artist. I would love to be right beside the artist all the way through their career. I could go to sleep each night knowing that I am helping someone fulfill their dreams. Even though I would enjoy being a manager, that does not mean each of the other careers are not very
Webster’s dictionary defines the word profession as a type of job that requires special education, training, or skill. Many Soldiers would not consider the Army as a profession but a way of life. Some think the word profession belongs to everyday jobs like a plumber, mechanic, or doctor. Dr. Don M. Snider stated “the Army is a profession because of the expert work it produces, because the people in the Army develop themselves to be professionals, and because the Army certifies them as such” (Snider, D. M. 2008). In October 2010, the Secretary of the Army directed the Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) to lead an Army wide assessment of the state of the Army Profession. We have been at war as a Country for over a decade and the Army
I do not feel the same sort of patriotism and loyalty a soldier would normally have for their country, I would prefer to think of humanity as a whole. I have, at the minimum, been working to achieve my goals at illustration here in America for the past 8 years of my life, whether on my own outside of schooling or in a separate vocational study. Many of the people I have met here encouraged me to work harder, and I have deepened gratitude that I have been given the chance to experience my life here in the fashion I have done so. Though, I have been decidedly blindfolded by the thoughts and pressures that are inflicted on me by society, pushing for conformity rather than creativity, effectively blinding me from the fascinations I wish to undertake. Which is what pushes me away from the idealistic thoughts of America being a place of opportunity in a creative arts sense. With all due respect, there are places here that provide such a liberty, but you need to work outside of the general educational spectrum to engage in those fields. Artistic ingenuity is not handed to you on a silver platter like the “core classes”
