Welcome family, friends, faculty, staff, administration, and welcome to the Class of 2016.
It is with great honor that I have the opportunity to be on this stage today. I would like to first express my appreciation to all of my teachers, friends, and family members who have helped me get to where I am right now—standing in front of you
Now, before I begin, I would like to recognize a man who has helped all of us make it to where we are at this moment—Mr. Hines. For the ones who are unaware of who Mr. Hines is, he is the principal that has helped Perry Central High School excel not only academically, but culturally as well. And, since all of you are sitting before me, it is my understanding that none of you stepped on the grass while making

In the dictionary, the term fear is defined by an unpleasant often strong emotion caused by anticipation or awareness of danger. The issue faced by many, though, is the fact that being afraid of exploring the unknown is often brought upon the possibility of failure. We first began our journey at Perry Central feeling nervous, anxious, or scared by not knowing the other students who would occupy the same hallways and classrooms as we would. We, as individuals, walked into the doors of PC facing students from Beaumont, Runnelstown, and New Augusta. As a result, we all had the tendency to be shy the first day of high school, but as the hours and days continued, however, we quickly realized just how loud we truly are; or how loud Taylor and Xena truly …show more content…
Aultman; for some of you, you have been faced with the fear of whether you and your fellow teammates would make it to playoffs, or for others, if you would make that perfect stunt at competition. The one that we can all relate to, however, is the countless times we have considered dropping out. (Special Thank You to Mrs. Draughn, Mrs. Tortorich, and Mrs. Craft for your continued support for seniors who want to graduate but rarely want to do the work required for
First off I would like to congratulate everyone for making it this far. I would like to thank my classmates, my friends, and my family. I especially want to thank our teachers, for always supporting and encouraging us. If it weren’t for the people who support us daily, we would not be where we are today. I would like everyone to turn to their families, and teachers to thank them for all that they have done for us.
Dear administrators, teachers, parents, beloved friends, ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the 8th grade graduation. It’s a pleasure to be standing in front of you today on this beautiful day to express the happiness we all feel.
Good morning, seniors and faculty. Today, I have the honor of addressing one of the most unique, talented, and resilient classes ever to attend Newfield High School. I hope that the advice I have to offer you today will enlighten you as well as your successors. Now, since graduation is a congratulatory occasion, before I get started, there are people who must be acknowledged and to whom respect is due.
Fear is an emotion that makes people do things that they would not normally do, for better or for worse. People tend to let their emotions guide their actions as-well-as control their lives. Fear does two things, it can negatively impact people or it can positively
Hello everyone! It is such an honor to be here tonight. As the presenter said, my name is Abby Hill. I am currently a US History teacher at Amos Alonzo Stagg High School of Dist.230 in Palos Hills. I would like to say a quick thank you to my colleagues and other people who have helped me along the way. Thank you to the teachers who have inspired me to become a teacher. Most importantly I would like to thank the Golden Apple
What is fear? The Merriam-Webster dictionary defines fear as the following, to be afraid of (something or someone). Most people associate fear with being scared of things like spiders, but fear can also be the action of worrying about something or someone. Fear is used every day in life. Every single person on this Earth has more than likely experienced fear one or more times in their life. Sometimes fear can be over little things, like spilling your drink, or, bigger fears like falling off a cliff. You can't possibly understand all the fear that goes on in one's mind, but you can guess what they have fears about. With this in mind, Johnathan Edwards uses emotion fear to persuade his audience; these fears later explained in this paper.
Fear is something that large amounts of people have encountered at least once at some point in their lives. It has been said to have caused a variety of outcomes, many of them being largely negative. Therefore, it is a common human response to react to fear by counteracting it with positivity and/or success. The idea people have of what fear is depends on the person. In the article “How Fear Works”, for example, fear is defined as a “chain reaction in the brain that starts with a stressful stimulus and ends with the release of chemicals” (Layton 1). The website “Psychology Today” defines fear another way, calling it “a vital response to physical and emotional danger” ("Fear Paranoia”). There are several other definitions people have on the
Hey I'm Zach St.Clair, currently a Senior at Eisenhower High School. I was picked by Decatur Sister Cities to go on an amazing trip to Germany for 2 weeks in June. Throughout my four years of high school, I have always strived to be my best. I have managed to keep a job, play soccer, and volunteer for my community. I have had a job for two years averaging twenty-six hours a week and have been promoted three times. I am now a shift leader and carry many responsibilities. Having a job has taught me responsibility, appreciation, and a great work ethic which I use towards my school work. Playing soccer, I have traveled to many schools and camps. Throughout these games and camps, I have always represented Saltillo High School proudly. I find it an honor to say I am a student at Saltillo High School. I hope that whoever is reading this will seriously consider me for Saltillo High School 2017 Hall of Fame.
Be ready because 7th grade is going to be a wild ride! Be ready for tests, projects, and assignments galore! And on those assignments, just read them. I know, I know, everyone just skips to the questions and looks for the answers in the passage but in 7th grade it’s just better to read it. The teachers know, its like they have a 6th sense! As far as the cafeteria, the food is probably going to be the same, so just plug your nose and maybe the food will go down without a fight! When you’re going to gym, RUN! Well, don’t actually run, you might get in trouble and I would be to blame, but, seriously walk as fast as you can. You need to be there before anyone else so that you can change in a shower stall and be done with it. Adding to that, BRING
The DASH I hope to leave behind me would be meaningful and significant if I could make an impact on this humble, close-knit community of Horn Lake. For my actions to be remembered, it would indicate that I truly made a difference in the town in which I grew up; and after having forged the greatest friendships and memories for which I could ask here, leaving a mark of me would be an honor. This is why, as I embark on the next step of my life and head off to college, I have chosen to remain in Mississippi for my choice of school: I will not be straying far from my family, my friends, and the community I have known and with which been blessed my entire life.
Today we are all gathered here for the final day of our 8th Grade school year here at Grange. Not only is this our final day of 8th grade, or our last day here at Grange, but it’s the last day of middle school! If we were to look back at everything we’ve learned in the last three years here, then I, and I’m sure you’d agree, would say without a doubt, that we are prepared for the next chapter of our lives, high school. All throughout these three years we have learned so many things. We’ve grown up from kids into young adults, and we’ve gained valuable life lessons. We’ve all worked so hard to be here, in a constant struggle to continue in our pursuit of success. Was it easy? Of course not, but we don’t grow when things are easy. We grow when we face challenges.
Fear is a feeling induced by experience, perceived danger, or watching a frightening traumatic accident. The fear responses arise from the perception of danger and ultimately a change in behaviour, such as fleeing, or hiding or from perceived traumatic events. Every person has fears and different fears may be different adaptations that have been useful in our evolutionary past. I have fears too, and sometime, I feel embarrassed to intersperse my fear with others.
August fifteenth, two thousand thirteen. We became freshmen of the Camdenton High School. Most of us were ready for it. Yet some were not. As we lived in these halls, we have hit many mountains, but have also rode down many hills. Although we may think we are free; our journey is not over yet.
Fear is often related to our social peers. Fear can hit one like no other when there are all the social pressures on one, making them collapse. The social pressure can be unbearable and strike fear into almost anyone. For example, all your friends are trying marijuana. They keep repeatedly telling you to try it and it'll be cool if you do. You don't know what there smoking, but then again you don't want to lose them as friends. This can strike someone down with fear because they have no clue what to do. For another example there is always the opinion of others. Especially for a high school student. Other children can be downright ruthless, making fun of what you wear, look like, or even how you smell. These aspects can make one even scared to go to school. These kids strike you down with more and more opinions every day causing you to be more scared of school everyday. This is just like the physical fear, you have to stand up for yourself, because if they see they can do it once they're not going to just stop. You have to stand up and say i don't care what anyone thinks and be
