Module 2: Assignment: Instructions and Grading Rubric

The very manner in which you engage (or do not engage) with others in the world around you has been derived from a series of influences on you, both genetic and environmental, that have shaped you into the person you are today. Thus, we are the amalgamation of collective influences on us, from our families and friends to our coworkers and

It is important to me that when writing your credo, you do not just haphazardly construct loosely associated sentences
that marginally answer these questions. Rather, I would encourage you to reflect on these questions and then write a cohesive essay that flows fluidly and logically AND answers these questions. I want to gain a sense of who you are as a person, what you believe, and where you believe you are heading in life. There is NO minimum length for this assignment, but DO NOT to exceed four, double-spaced typewritten pages.

4. What goal do you hope to accomplish with this essay? What will this essay need to be successful?
“Cut from the same cloth”, “The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree”, “A chip off the old block”; most of us have heard these types of idioms at one point or another, ways of likening us to our parents. Sometimes they are right, while other times it couldn’t be farther from the truth; leaving us to wonder, “what is it that makes us who we are?” Are we simply the product of our environments, a collective sum of our interactions and experiences? Or, do our genetics pre-determine who we are, complex variations in our DNA that dictate our individual personalities? Some scientists argue on behalf of the nurture theory, that our personalities are continually changing and growing, influenced by the world and people around us. Others believe that we are pre-wired by genetics alone, that while external factors may magnify or diminish some aspects of that wiring, everything we are is already programmed into us from the moment of conception. So, who is right?
Answer the following. Keep the following in mind as you answer these questions and all future study questions.
Values and morals are an integral part of life; values define who we are on a personal and professional level. My personal and professional values are similar but are used differently on a personal and professional level. In this code of ethics I have identified my core values as respect, honesty, loyalty, integrity, professionalism, and responsibility. Developing a code of ethics has provided me with an opportunity to reflect on my values and evaluate how I turn those values into action.
Use your own words as far as possible to avoid plagiarism issues and answer the following questions:
