My Personal and Educational Goals
Throughout my life, I have already accomplished a lot of the education goals that I have set for myself, but there are still a few goals that I want to reach. My first goal is to graduate from Resurrection. I want to be able to say that during my time at Res, I received good grades and remained on the honor role in the course of my high school education. I also want to finish Polish school. For the last 10 years, I have attended Polish school on Saturdays and in two short years I will take a language test. I want to pass the test with a high score, graduate and receive my language diploma. After finishing high school, I plan to continue my education at a four-year college or university. While I haven't thought
An experience in a biomedical research will help me to succeed in my long-term educational goals. My long-term goal is to attend a MD-PHD program at a Medical School. As a scientist, I would like to study the genetics of disease causing organisms and human genetics. Currently, I am studying Biochemistry at the University of Maryland, which I think will equip me with a knowledge of human biochemistry. However, since undergraduate schools mainly focus on theoretical not the practical application of most subjects, I need to participate in a hands on research project over the summer because It will give me an opportunity to apply my knowledge in a laboratory. This is when the summer research program at the University of Maryland school of medicine
My future educational goals are to attend and graduate from Florida A & M University and go on to attend dental school to become an Orthodontist. I plan on majoring in Biology Pre-Dental and hope to partake in many internship programs to gain more experience in the dental field, as well as strengthen my application for dental school. At the high school I attend, I finished the Medical Assisting program and I am currently a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant. Being in that program opened my eyes up to not just the reality of working in the medical field, but also all other fields in healthcare that work cohesively with one another. I have a passion for working with people, enjoy patient interaction, and have discovered that I have an honest
1.Explain what the phrase “taking ownership of your learning” means to you? Taking ownership of your learning means to take responsibility for your own education. You are responsible for ensuring that you understand the information, and you are responsible for clarifying anything you do not understand. It also means that you have to take initiative to study the topic on your own 2.Explain how you set personal educational goals and monitor your own progress.
I believe each student deserves the right to feel safe and comfortable mentally, physically, and emotionally in the school environment; especially in my own classroom.
My short term goals in education are to maintain my high cumulative GPA and complete all of my general education classes, so I can graduate from community college with honors, in spring of 2016. Career wise, I want to complete my low division classes and prerequisites to be able to transfer to a university in the next year, where I can pursue my bachelor's degree in computer engineering. My short term goals for service/volunteerism is to continue participating in school clubs at Mesa college where I participate in the majority of their service events. I also want to continue my leadership position as President in Phi Theta Kappa and serve the Honors club and any other school club with anything I am capable of.
Life is a continual learning process, which requires a strong method to develop better ways of apprenticeship. Personally, being able to obtain a higher education gives me an opportunity to be better in many ways. Everyone should have any personal goals in life in order to survive, prosper and succeed in every journey that life gives. As for me, being a University of Phoenix student, I hope to achieve all of my goals on which I have been trying to pursue and obtain through the years. They are goals that I believe I need to have to be a successful member of the society, and through attending the university I also hope to gain a more positive image of myself, build my personal growth, along with achieving
My hopes for the future is to graduate from high school and go to college. Also, having a job. I can start on them after school and I want to focus on my future, I have to work hard on that I want to go to university after college. Education will help me from many different ways through my career. I want to achieve my goals through education, it is the way most of the people have success. My goals have always been to improve myself through each year, and to be a better student/person, and to be a successful student. My goals have always been very big and meaningful for me. Especially my grades, I want “A” in my classes. These goals are important for me because that's what everyone wants in their lives, I always have dreamed to be successful. I want to have “A”s in my classes because I want to graduate with a good GPA.
My academic goal is to graduate Argosy University with a bachelors degree in Forensic Psychology in three years time. Forensic Psychology is the study of the criminal mind, in a nutshell. The main motivation to achieve this goal would be intrinsic. I love asking questions and knowing the answers as to why people do what they do, and in a criminals case, what led them to committing the crime. This goal, however, may have some extrinsic motivation as well. Being knowledgeable about certain behaviors that criminals poses may help solve or even prevent a crime. In addition, having a degree will help open different paths in life, ones that may present me with greater job opportunities. My attitude toward the learning process will help my achievement of each goal because I am eager, determined and motivated. My greatest desire is to succeed in life, and obtaining an education is one thing I know will help me. I perhaps will need to make some adjustments along my journey. I do not know yet if I will find another educational path that intrigues me the most. For now, I do not feel that any adjustments need to be made.
My educational and career goals consist of waking up every morning with a smile on my face knowing I am in the position I’ve always desired. I want my career to be something I enjoy doing rather than something I am forced to do because of my financial situation. I want to improve myself through higher education and be able to display my degrees to inspire others to pursue a career. I want to graduate from college with a master’s degree in nursing or social work. Throughout my life, my mother has always been my number one supporter. My mother has always advised me to follow my dreams and not allow anyone to criticize my career. Indeed, I saw my parents struggle and tolerate discrimination to provide for my sister and I for many years. I don’t
For as long as I can remember, my parents have told me that I need to work hard and get good grades so that one day, I may receive enough scholarships to attend college. Coming from a low-income household, college wasn’t an expectation but rather a dream; one that could only be achieved through a dedication to my academics. Fortunately, I love to be challenged and most of my decision to attend college derived from a personal desire to learn.
Going to college has been a dream of mine growing up. I am the first ever in my family to go to college but figuring out how to pay for it has been a challenge. I desire to achieve my academic and career goals and this scholarship can help me succeed in my journey.
The biggest event of my life that has influenced my decision to go back to school is the promise I made to my mother before she passed away. I promised her that I would go back to school and obtain my degree in accounting. I had always wanted to be able to provide my children with a life without the worries that I had to face.
In my classroom, the purpose and goals of education are to develop a student's knowledge and skills for life. Also, to create well-rounded students, and to raise the bar of student understanding. The role of a student in education is to be involved in their own learning, to ask questions when there is a lack of understanding, and to work to the best of their ability in school. The role of the teacher is to be someone the students can trust and feel like they can talk to, also to engage students in learning and to be understanding of the students circumstance. I believe that students learn with experience and repetition. Also, by making their own decisions in their own time about learning. And by trial and error, with guidance from the teacher.
Swami Sivananda once said “Put your, heart , mind, and soul into even your smallest acts. This is the secret of success.” The person I was when I arrived was one who did not care about school work I even was one who put everything else before school. My career plan was always to become a dental hygienist, knowing it was two years of school it interested me the most. When it came to school and knowing what I wanted it lead me the right way. I had went to a dental program with New Horizons for two years. With that it made me more comfortable. My Motivation for College was my family, I'm the only one at the time going through college to better myself, it makes me proud of what I am doing. My inspiration is my sister, she got pregnant at a young age ,as well married and moved away. So for her to have a new baby and a family, and take the time to start a six week program made me feel like anyone could do it!
Losing someone very important to you can make you feel as if it's the end of the world. You feel like giving up on everything because that person isn’t there for you anymore to give you advice or to push you just alittle bit more. I’ve come to realize that you need to move on and accomplish your goals because that's what they want you to do. In honor of that one special person, make he or she proud, even though they aren’t physically there with you.
