Working in a two person office for many years, I have been forced to look at things from different angles. I am dedicated to my work and I have had to finds ways to process aid in an efficient manner. I was continually looking for ways to complete the tasks presented as quickly and correctly possible. This forced me to look at things from all angles, therefore, looking outside the box or problem solving. I discuss many things with my boss to get another perspective. Most of all, I need to be part of something bigger…the financial aid team. I cannot let my ego or my opinions get in the way if my suggestions are not implemented. I know I will not have all the answers, I have a team to help sort out what answers might apply to the questions.
The career I became interested in is a Physician’s Assistant, or a few people call them PAs. I became interested in this job in my sophomore year of high school. It all started when I attended the STEM fair after school one day. STEM fair is only offered to students who are in either the biomedical Stem academy or the engineer academy. At this fair, students tour around to different classrooms to acquire information on different careers. I attended the Physician’s Assistant one, where there was an actual PA to give information on what PAs achieve. For example, PAs examine patients for diseases, injuries and illnesses.
Once I started working as a graduate assistant athletic trainer I have found myself looking for, and relishing in, any opportunity to teach others about injuries, how to prevent them, and how to rehab after them. Now that I am looking to grow from a graduate assistant position to a full time position having my teaching certification will 1) give me more opportunities to teach others, 2) help me to grow as a professional, and 3) help me to be employed at the middle school and/or high school levels. After becoming a certified teacher I will also be able to become certified to teach high school Sports Medicine classes, which is something I am very passionate about teaching. The reason for this is that I will get to start shaping the next generation
When working as a health unit coordinator some of my my duties is to transcribe doctor orders, process doctor orders, make appointments for clients, order supplies as needed. When I am working as a nursing assistant my job requires me to bathe and dress patients, take vital signs, serve meals, set up medical equipment, answer call lights as needed, observe changes in clients
I have been working for the Alameda county social services since 01/1994 as an eligibility technician (ET) I, II and III and I was promoted to the employment counselor (EC) in 09/1998. As the employment counselor, I have got a lot of experience by working in different units such as Orientation, Assessment, Case management and Community Base Organization programs (CBO). With my responsibilities to assist individuals to become self-sufficient, I have been using The California Welfare Information system (Cal WIN) to issue support services for their activities such as attending schools, looking for jobs and going to work. At the current time, working in the case management unit, each month I have been using the system to issue electronic benefit
This semester I am a junior at the University of South Florida and am working to complete a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Biomedical Sciences. I am seeking a job within a medical related setting, and while searching for opportunities on campus, I found the Teaching Assistant position opening in the Pediatric Department of the Morsani College of Medicine. After reading about this position and its expected qualifications, I feel as though my skills, experiences, and educational background would be fitting to this vacancy.
My major at the Bryant&Stratton Online College is Business Administration and when I graduate I will pursue employment in the Administrative Assistant career field. In addition to this, Business Administrative courses can also lead students to work as sales Representatives or Customer Service Representatives. Administrative Assistant career fields need employees to oversee general office management responsibilities that include creating, managing, updating and supervising essential business records for corporations. This career field also requires employees to carry out employment tasks that aid employers with operating and maintaining their corporation in the global market .This presented business document shows the education requirements
Choosing my career was not an easy choice but becoming a Medical Assistant would be my “foot in the door” to becoming a nurse. I started Alaska Career College in fall 2014 to become a Phlebotomist. I thought that with my experience as a medical receptionist, I can further my career as a medical assistant rather than a phlebotomist. I love to draw blood but because of my personality, I thought that maybe it would be more beneficial to become a medical assistant instead. As a young Hmong child, I loved helping people especially the older folks who did not speak English well. It is my goal to help others who are in need of help and because of that, I chose to become a Medical Assistant. I do hope that one day
For seven years, while I was going to school to obtain my Master’s Degree in Psychology, I was a personal assistant for friends, family, mentors, and their referrals. I have always enjoyed helping people in any aspect, whether it was organizing their home or office or listening to people’s wants or problems. I have found that compassion, empathy, mixed with the appropriate humor is one of the best forms of psychological remedies (Davies, 2013). While working as a personal assistant, I was referred to help organize a well-known psychologist firm in the area. Since I completed the paper filing assignment ahead of the end date, they found additional duties, such as maintaining their data and filing system on their computer system and moved one
The past eleven months has been a wonderful journey for me. I started on my journey as an intern in the learning resource center on freedom drive helping with job skills that can make the unemployed and the underemployed equipped for careers. I loved it so much that here I am eleven months later as a volunteer of the Goodwill Opportunity Campus helping with resume building, career searches, vocational information and job skills that will lead to overcoming challenges and finding employment.
My parents had a dream to assist college, but unfortunately they were not able to accomplish their dream. Therefore, they sacrifice to allow my siblings and I to achieve a goal they were unable to. My mother does not work due to her lupus condition. My father is a maintenance worker for Sealy Co. Inc. They are also helping my older brother financially to pay his education expenses. My younger sister is a junior in high school and a cashier at a fast-food restaurant. I am a work-study student, working 10 hours a week at the Career Center as a Career Service Assistant. I am also applying for other scholarships and Federal Student Aid.
It was very exciting to see the Administrative Secretary job posting last spring at Twindly Bridge Charter School! Then I was even more excited to receive a phone call from Mr. Weetman offering the position. Now, I’m ever more engaged and everyday amazed by the dedicated families of Twindly Bridge.
When it comes to making a budget plan, investments, paying bills, and saving money, I prefer to manage my own money instead of seeking someone for assistance. While it is true a financial advisor is skilled at providing advice for their clients, they can sometimes deceive you. I am not saying that all financial advisors are like that, but this may happen to some people. They might take your belongings behind your back. Though I am not an expert in financial activities, I am willing to learn how step by step.
This past year I served as an administrative assistant to my regions largest convention in its history. Part of my job was to run the rituals steering team as well as overseeing logistical tasks. This convention only succeeded because of the logistical preplanning and precautions that were taken by the coordinator team.
I have been trained to become a chemist since the first year of my high school. This is a challenging career, requiring analytical thinking, attention to details, and adaptability. It is also a well-paying and promising career. However, chemistry is not what I have always dreamt of doing the rest of my life. As someone who is concerned about the development of sub-Saharan Africa, I came to a conclusion that what this region needs is not only scientists but also people who know and understand leadership and international affairs. In this paper, I compare my strengths and abilities to the qualities that one should have in order to excel as a chemist and a diplomat.
Solid communication skills: Communication have always been one of my strongest skills. I recently took a Business Communication
