I can remember it like yesterday. I was driving home from school in the foggy weather in my truck. I got home and then I got this sudden feeling that something was different. I was nervous to walk in, and see what has happened. I had no choice. So I hesitantly took my key out, and opened the door and I veer toward the house. My predictions were right on. I walked into the house hung my backpack up in the mud room, I turned the corner and into living room is where my mom and dad sat. I could tell something was up. I’ve been through this before, but it has never ever happened, but for some odd reason I felt like it was going to happen today. “Jared we need to tell you something.” My mother informed me.
Right as my mom said

I knew this was coming. I am 16 years old, I guessed it. But their was one problem. This happened before but it never officially happened.Last time was going to go with my mom to Vermont. In Vermont is where all of my mom's side of the family lives. I never liked my mom that much, well my step mom. She isn’t my real mom but the reason why I have to go with her and not my dad is because my dad has been trying to get into the military. And when they do split up he is able to get in, so I have to live with my crazy step mom and her crazy …show more content…
But it felt different from the last time. I looked into my father's eyes and I knew it was a good thing.
“Jared. We have good news and bad news. Which one do you want to hear first.” He asked me.
“Well I would like to hear good news since I have been in a dump for the last couple days.” I replied questioning what the news was.
“Ok, so your mother and I have been talking and seeing if this really is a good Idea for the benefit for the all of us. We have decided that it wasn’t a good idea and it was one of the silly fights that we had that made us think of the worst possibility. I know you told everyone that you would be moving with your mom to Vermont, but that is not true anymore. You will be staying here with your mother and I, and your mother and I are staying together.” He said with a smile. At this point I didn’t know what to think. Do I run and get in my car to Sarah’s house? I didn’t know what to think, if I had a answer I would be doing it, but I had no idea. But then I also remembered that my dad said that there was bad
“He has barely spoken since his report back yesterday, I assume he’s just distraught over the battle.”
One of my all-time favorite books is Speak by Laurie Hales Anderson that I read back in ninth grade. A captivating book that captures what it means to be a teenager in today’s society. Speak is about Melinda Sordino, a freshman in high school , who stops all types of verbal communication caused by a traumatizing incident one summer night. Her isolation continues not only at school but at home, hiding her secret from her workaholic parents, that remain clueless from her trauma and signs of depression, suffering to speak, biting her scab filled lips, skipping school, and dealing with the taunting of her peers .The only thing that keeps her sane is her uncanny mental commentary.
“Then how do you explain all the things that still happen to them now?” Savannah then asked me now sounding implacable.
The next morning when I woke up, I felt strange like if something have given me more life. Later that day at the park, my friend and I were playing football against another team but it was different. We were faster and stronger and powerful so we decided to use that energy we were feeling so we could win. Once I got home, I saw my dad stuck under the car and tried picking
When I opened my eyes I was in the town square. My house wasn’t to far away, and I could tell my mom what happened. When I turned the corner I couldn’t see my house as I got closer I started to freak out because my house was gone.
I rushed out of my bedroom to greet my mom, my dad and my brother Eric when I heard the garage door open. When they entered the house my mom was talking. There was a sad tone in her voice. I ran back to the hallway and listened.
''Wasn't that amazing or what?'' excitedly shouted Cisco as he entered the hall, closely followed by a very emotionally tired, but happy, Sara who was glad that they were able to get the job done.
A typical day in a life of a missionary. I am awaken by the sound of
It was a Saturday morning and it was game day. The game didn’t start until 12:00 and we didn’t have to be there 10:45 A.M. Once all of us got there and we finally got into the gym to shoot around and warm up, Alicia and I were talking about who St. Marys had all beaten. From who they had beaten, they sounded pretty good. After a while of shooting we started to stretch. Alicia, Hannah, and Emily were near me so I asked them why the other team wasn’t here yet. Emily said “I don’t know they normally are already here”. By this time Taylor Swift’s song came on which is Emily’s favorite singer. The song was “22” and Emily started to sing “We will just keep dancing like were 22”. Once we were done stretching we started to shoot
The officer had me answer way too many questions making that day far worse than it needed to be he made me give a description of the killer and an overall summary of what had happened.
"What your mom is saying is that we can't have you living here anymore." Jared got straight to the point. The look in his eyes was menacing, or at least that's what I saw. I knew he was out for me.
It was a sunny day, but I was shivering from fear. While the rest of my family was getting into their scuba gear, I was composing a silent prayer to God.
"I have the tracking skills of a dog, Alek. I can probably find any animal in the entire forest." She pulled off her sweater and handed it to me. For someone who looked so small and fragile, she was actually extremely tough. Her shirt was tight and the sleeves didn't stop until they reached her elbow. "Wake up the other two while I'm gone. It's about seven in the morning. Tell them where I went. Ask Kate to do the laundry. I'll be back in an hour."
“Ouch,” I said, feigning being affronted. “So, whatever happened with your family?” I asked. “Do they know
It was a nice July day, I had been working all morning and I was needing to cool off. So I head over to a friends house in Laurium, I picked up Garrett and we went to another friends house in Calumet to let them follow us in his white minivan. I was driving a big maroon colored Ford E-350. We decided to go out towards Bootjack because we had to pick up another person from out there anyways. On the way out towards Bootjack, Garrett told me, “you know what’s weird? My mom told me before we left to be careful. She must think something bad is going to happen.” I was a little weirded out by this, but I was determined to have a good day. We found an empty camp site and went swimming in the lake. After we finished swimming we continued on our little day trip. We picked up Claire in bootjack, and wanted to head over to the other side of the Peninsula. So we drove down to McLain State Park and went on the break wall. We sat there for a good chunk of time. The time is 8:30.
