Jason stared up at Tyler's eyes; deranged, dilated, discolored. Tyler wore a smile on his face, his usual smirk twice as wide and displaying too many teeth. He held a silver and black pistol in his hand. Jason had tears streaming down his face in spontaneous bursts, well past being able to produce noise as he sobbed. He was kneeling front of Tyler, both knees on the ground. Tyler held Jason's chin with a soft, gentle touch, sitting on his haunches in front of him. "Didn't you say that when you were little, you wanted to travel to the stars?" Jason's eyes widened, and he tried saying yes, very reluctantly, but his throat tightened up and more tears came. He blinked and squinted through the tears. All he could do was nod. "I've had this gun for a while. I got it for self defense when I moved into my own house, and I planned on showing it to you eventually. I figured, though, you'd be able to see it really well with the barrel pointed right between your eyes. …show more content…

Jason asked quietly, head down, hands laid side by side on the floor. He looked straight at Tyler, who was once again kneeling with him. "Of course, but I only want the best for you, I want you to be happy. And if you have to leave me to be happy, I understand. Are you sure you want to go?" Tyler said, bringing the gun's barrel up to Jason's cheek, rubbing it up and down, watching goosebumps appear on his arms. Jason started to cry again, but they were solemn tears, not the chaotic wails from before. "I want to go. I want to leave. I'm happy that you're letting me go. Thank you, Ty. I love you."
