Have you ever been in a situation where you didn’t think you could do it? Well I have many times and I’m going to write about a time during Rodeo when I didn’t think I was going to be able to do well in goat tying.
On the listed date, I, Officer Rivera Ayala, responded to the Bethalto Quick Trip in reference to a counterfeit bill. I met with the clerk and complainant identified as Terry A. Huber who gave me the bill as the suspect identified as Megan M. Feeley (DOB 10/12/1985) was at the register. I asked Megan where she got the bill from. Megan stated that she did not know that the bill was fake, and that she got it from her brother. Megan asked if she would be able to get the bill back. I advised Megan that she would not be able to.
Have you ever seen the TV show the “Walton’s?” If you have, then you will definitely be able to identify how unique the place was where I was raised. I was raised in North Arkansas in a small community called Onia. In fact, the road that I lived on was called Lawrence Road. It was named this because all of my relatives lived down this road. My Grandpa, who is now a retired Baptist preacher, lived down this road along with his brothers and sisters. The church that I grew up going to was also pastored by my grandfather for over thirty years and it was about two miles down the road. The community bordered the Ozark National Forest so it was very rural and isolated. Most of the traffic on Lawrence Road was mainly the people who lived
Today, we reached The Dalles. Nate told us we have two choices. Either we can float down the river, or we can go around Mt. Hood. We talked it over, and almost everyone agrees we should go around. I'm certain everybody remembers Ezekiel and the river, and none of us want to go through that again. So we start on Barlow Road, which will take us around the mountain, tomorrow. Things aren't getting much better here. We are all so tired. I think that once we get to Oregon, I will just sleep through winter.
Everyone has a favorite memory about their lives. My favorite memory took place when I traveled to Ohio in 2014 for Thanksgiving.
In the small city of Harvill, there were a group of investigators. The six of them named Willy, Mary, Shawn, twins, Jojo and Carol, and I, Hubert. We solved many crimes though the one where had recently started was an interesting and puzzling one. We were the only ones qualified who could actually solve a case. There was a killer amuck.
A plethora of Christmas tree lots are ready to sell a variety of tress for this upcoming holiday season.
) stood there in her deep green missionary uniform, firm as a statue and kind as a nun. Her older hands slick with sweat had a slight tremble as she handed out flyers to New City commuters. My grandmother was my first example of a pillar in the community. Every day she strived to improve the lives of those around her neighborhood. I adopted many of her ways, which has lead me into the field of social work. With my degree, I plan to work with one of the most disadvantaged groups in society, the elderly. Every day when I get up to go work, I will be impacting the lives of the elder person and countless members of their inner circle. This will give me a sense of purpose in my life.
Would you ever do something that you weren't supposed to do but you still did it to honor your orders? That what happened with the “Six Hundred”. They rode on horseback into “The Valley of Death” for a half league. They were obeying a command to charge the enemy forces that seized their guns. Even though it wasn't their post they were obeying orders and they went on with the battle.
I live in Chandler, just of the Santan 202 freeway and Gilbert road. This is a great community and it borders the city of Gilbert, which means we enjoy amenities from both cities. There various characteristics that impact the quality of life of my family but the top three are hospitals, schools and colleges, and various city parks. The hospital (Mercy Gilbert), provide various health care needs for my family. My daughter was actually born in this hospital. The quality of care they provide has helped my family with easy access to care. School and colleges in my community has served the residents and outsiders with good quality education. This has a huge impact on my family as all my siblings at a point in their lives attended Chandler-Gilbert
I am Lisa Long. My husband and I live in Carlisle, Ohio. Carlisle is a small town located right between Cincinnati and Dayton. When I was sixteen and again at seventeen, I received two traffic tickets. Since I was under eighteen, I had to go to the Mercer County Court House for both of them. Being in that building felt right to me. I wanted to work there. Even though I was there under unfavorable circumstances, I couldn’t wait to come back to the courthouse. Also, when I went in to see the judge for my traffic offenses, she did not scold me or yell at me. She talked to me. The judge did not go into a lengthy discussion on the dangers of speeding; we both knew that speeding was unsafe. Instead, she talked to me and got me to understand the implications of my actions. I remember her saying that you have to think about the consequences of your actions and how they can
In the past years, I have travelled a lot, but never to as civilized an area as Toronto. I have been to Cuba, the Dominican Republic, Eilat, and Mexico, all touristic sites with no real city aspect to them. Lined with hotels and resorts, these destinations may appear grandiose at first, but upon closer inspection signs of poverty are evident where the hotels end. However, when I first arrived in Barcelona, I knew something was different. It was not a tourist trap; instead the place was instead a bustling metropolis with (relatively) high standards of living. Barcelona was the first city I have visited that can truly compare with Toronto back at home. Yet, there are a few major differences between the two. First of all, the age of the construction of the cities makes a huge impact on how they look. Next,
Life is full of milestones and high school especially is filled with them. When I was five years old, my father came to me holding a tan pouch, magnifying glass, and several paper pamphlets with pictures of colorful orange butterflies. It wasn’t even my choice to begin the project, the start of a wonderful journey that has lasted twelve years so far. To this day, nothing has shaped my life more than working with the Monarch butterflies.
