Personal Narrative: A Vacation To Nevada

My trip to the Grand Canyon was the best experience I ever had so far in my life. My grandparents from Korea came along with us. Even though I saw them last year it was still an enjoyable moment that I had. Grand Canyon is located in Arizona so what our family did was fly to Las Vegas early in the morning and arrive in Nevada around 9 o’clock am. Driving to Grand Canyon was also five hours with heavy traffic. Driving and stopping every hour was hard to do but at the end it was all worth it. It was good that I had couple electronic devices and my family to keep me in company.

It was a very humid day in Las Vegas, Nevada. There were two really bad kid, and twins. Their names are jack and Mary. Jack and Mary don’t look alike at all. They are poor because there mom has never worked a day in her life.she drinks all of the time. Linda is really mean to Jack and Mary.

My favorite vacation, so far, is one I went on in September 2015 with my friends Alissa and Jaidah. We all share fandom interests. On the weekend of September 19, my brother went away to spend his birthday with my dad. My mom shook me awake and informed me I could bring two friends along to a room in the Dells that we would be occupying. Almost immediately I thought of the duo. I ran downstairs and texted both of them while packing a bag. They texted back not too long after, and I told them my mom and I would pick them up anywhere from 10-11 that Saturday morning. We picked up Alissa and she tried to direct us to Jaidah’s house, but she wasn’t thorough with her

I lived in an odd place for a time, all through a single summer I languished in the confines of its chipped sidewalks and heat-warped streets. The air was hot, it felt as if one was within the red-lit depths of an oven set to broil, the June sun cooking all that rested below its unforgiving harangue. The sky was vibrantly blue, like a cerulean drape had been pulled over the surface of the earth. Flashing neon lights and vibrant pink flamingos incessantly reminded me that I was in the boundaries of Fabulous Las Vegas, although I did not particularly want to be. There were aggressive and caustic smells that filled the air: Boiling oils from deep frying, spilled alcoholic beverages, and curious stale cigarette aromas, all of which bothered me

I used to be the type of person that needed my life planned out; I needed a routine or a schedule. I was going on an amazing trip to Catalina Island with my closest friends. We had a plan; take a bus to LA and get on a boat that would take us to Catalina from there. When we arrived to LA the weather was so bad we couldn't get on the boat. We had to wait until the next day. Having to go off schedule we ended up making more memories, we went to a huge aquarium and spent the night on a boat. After that trip I realized things happen and you need to be willing to make the best of things or you will not have the opportunity for new experiences.

This past fall break, I got a chance to take a trip to Arizona to visit Grand Canyon University with a friend, Anthony Ward. I thought it would be an awesome opportunity to open up my options for colleges. What I loved most about the program, Discover GCU, is that they covered all the expenses to Arizona and all I payed for was a plane ticket to Oahu. I was so stoked to go but also nervous because I was the only girl from my school and didn't know anyone. Eventually I made friends with a couple girls from Oahu and we became room mates. I have never been to Arizona, I honestly don't fly up to the mainland very often, I have always been here on the Big Island or on the other islands.

One of my vacations that I really liked, was when I went to Steamboat Springs. We snowboarded for many days. I liked it so much that, this spring break I am going snowboarding again. I went with a couple family members like my aunts, cousins, and uncles. At Steamboat we did many things, we ate, snowboarded, played in the snow, (which never happens in my regular life in Texas) and took classes.

I can’t believe that it is finally July 27, 2018! My mom and I are going to Las Vegas to see the Backstreet Boys in concert. My mom and I can’t wait to get to the Airport. It would be our first time going to Las Vegas. Our plane was to leave from Gerald R. Ford International Airport at 9:00 AM.

So I had so much fun on my vacation when i went to Arizona over the summer for ten days. We went to the Grand Canon and it is way bigger than I thought!! We took all kinds of pictures on my aunts tablet and we took them are our phones. But the bad thing is that my phone died right when we got to the Grand Canon. I got so mad so then my aunt took pictures on the tablet and she let me take pictures on her phone.

After checking into the world renowned Bellagio, me and my two of my teammates (Jay and Kade) hit the strip. Strobe lights filled the sky and people filled the streets as grown men dressed as children’s television characters asked for money to take pictures with them. After dating for two years, my boyfriend Steven and I finally got to go on our first vacation together. The two people that made it all possible are Steven’s Aunt and Uncle, Erin and Bobby. They were generous enough to finance our trip to Las Vegas, although they didn’t know me beforehand. They took us to many adventures and were very accepting of me. Erin and Bobby made an incredible impact on me with their loving spirit and generosity.

I just wanted to take a little time to thank you for talking to me and Tej or an extensive period of time yesterday. It was very nice to have a genuine conversation that went beyond the realm of accounting, and I appreciate you not only telling me about your life and your experiences but also asking about my life as well.
