On my first year of the second semester in Valencia College at building five in the middle of a Monday night during the cold winter. As I was waiting for my ride sitting there at my usual spot nearby the door nothing, but silence in this building where the bookstore and cafeteria was closed after I was done with my night classes. No one was around nothing, but silence only my music blasting out loud through my headphones. Suddenly a girl is walking towards to the building that I am in. As she got in the building she was wearing a black leather jacket, red cloth beanie, red scarf around her neck tied up like a knot and warm boots. She was on the phone which I did not try to make a conversation with her because that would be rude. Even though …show more content…
As I was walking towards building five on the back entrance next to building six and suddenly, I see her again sitting on my spot wearing the same winter clothing on Monday night. As she was waiting at the same time talking on the phone speaking in English and Spanish mixed up into Spanglish. It was terrible for me to listen her conversation even though she was talking pretty loud because the echo was reflecting the sound of her voice which I am sure she does not know that. Suddenly she kept on looking at me from her left side view as she was talking on the phone. It made me felt strange, but I just ignored it and continue minding my own business texting my friends and listening to music. After a while she hanged up the phone and walked up to me a bit closer and waved at me with a smile on her face while standing two feet away from me where I am sitting. I paused my music, put down my headphones and said “hello” back and smiled at her politely. She then blushes a bit and wanted to know my name and talked different kinds of stuff, but suddenly while we are talking it started raining and she got a call from her dad telling her that he just arrived to pick her up. As she was about to leave she wanted my phone number which I did and after that day I felt …show more content…
Is like she really got attached into me by the similarity we have then asked me if I can come to Valencia early. Which I did and dressed up all nice with long sleeves shirt rolled up to my elbow and my expensive jeans. When I arrived to Valencia early like she asked me too so I texted her asking “what building we’re going to meet up?” she quickly replies to me the same spot where we first met with a smiley face emoticon. As we finally found each other she was wearing a white dress that was showing her upper knee with white dress shoes that matched together. Then she was surprised the way how I dressed up and asked me why am I all dressed up professionally? I quickly replied “because I feel like it is better if I did, but I think you still look great no matter what you wear.” Then she blushes red like a tomato and took my hand took for a long walk around the campus. As we’re walking down to building three suddenly she wrapped both of her arms around my left arm and lay her head on me as we’re walking. Just as I knew she wanted more than just a
I started to ask more open-ended questions about her family and the day she was having. She told me about herself as long as I asked but kept it at that. There were no questions directed towards me and her voice was very quiet. For the times she didn’t know what to say she would keep her eyes on her
For my ethnographic fieldwork, I decided to do my research on the Jewish culture. I interviewed a friend of mine at her house, which is the field site I decided to work in. To protect her identity I changed her name to Rebecca. As soon as I got to her house I notice there was a small piece of metal on the side of her doorpost with hebrew text written on it. I enter the house and she greeted me and took me to her living room.In her living room I noticed she had a tray of bite size cookies for us and a Snapple drink. The cookies were sweet and they did not have strong odor. My friend wore black slacks a white blouse and a star necklace around her neck. After a while, her brother and father came in and I noticed they had a little cap on the top of their heads. I asked her questions about her religion and culture.
When she saw who was at the door, her eyes got big and she backed up as though I had the plague. She let me talk to her for about 30 minutes. And when I asked why she no longer wanted to speak to me, she said, “As time went on, I noticed your behavior had become increasingly inappropriate.”
While I was on the cruise ship I met this girl named miah. She is my age with brown hair, brown eyes, and is my height. When we were in the pools me and this girl started talking about something that I don't really remember. The next night she came to the diner and ate (unfortunately the special for the night was the servers dancing to "apple bottom jeans" ). Miah and I went to the cat's meow which is a karaoke/ comedy room. Even now we still
I was shocked by her massage. I messaged her back. “I liked you ever since I saw you”. This was the truth.
I met Emily last fall at Selleck Hall for a first time when we have a floor meeting to know more about each other. Her room is in front of my room, I saw her every morning when she goes to her classes. The relationship between me and her were as any girls at the floor “hello, how are you? Relationship” until that day when she invited me to her birthday small party in
Jerry wakes up in a dissociative state still hungover from the previous night’s drug binge, nullifying the pain with a fluffy, symmetrical line of Peruvian cocaine and a tightly packed bowl of luminescent green, trichome plastered cannabis nug sourced from California out of his Illadelph bong; naturally, Jerry was quite the aficionado in recreational drug use and progressive dependency. As dopamine floods his prefrontal cortex he’s invigorated with a renewed sense of grandiosity; he looks in the mirror, his eyes are sunken in, the pallor of his complexion is ghostly, an apparition of a once revered public figure. He averts his eyes to his many awards and commendations for a brief moment, before the cannabis takes effect. He brushes
The person that I decided to observed was someone that I did not know too well, her name is Maggie and she is in my biology class. Since, I have only known her for a few weeks and she is not in my psych class, I figured she would be the ideal person that I should observe because she would not be familiar with what I was doing. I was waiting in the hallway for my biology class to start when I noticed Maggie outside the building. Maggie pulls the door open with her dominant hand; the door swings open and hits the wall. She rushes inside the building before the door can close. As Maggie makes it inside the building without the door slamming right into her, she speed walks in front of this couple. Maggie approaches me and the only thing that is
I approached her and started a conversation, she told me her name was Valentina and she was 15, immediately I noticed her bubbly personal, she was smiling big, I sat down and we started talking, she told me that she was from Kentucky, and that she moved here with her family, she told me her mom was looking for a job and her father died when she was younger. We talked about celebrities we love, our favorite songs at the moment, and everything in between. I didn’t want the conversation to end, so I took a risk and asked for her email, she gave it to me and told me she didn’t use it much but she would email me back whenever she had the chance. After that day I emailed her and just watched for a response. I didn’t expect anything, but little did I know the girl at the food drive would become my best
I pulled a chair close to were she was lying in bed and asked if it was ok if I asked her a couple of questions and she immediately said yes. I remembered her telling me about her daughter earlier in the day, so I began by asking her about her family. She told me she had three daughters and two granddaughters who she loved very much. She went on by telling me about her eight siblings, four of who lived in El Salvador. I asked if she could tell me more about her life in El Salvador, and it brought a big smile to her face. I could tell she was excited to tell me more through her facial expressions. I myself was looking forward to hear more, so I moved my chair closer to her and got comfortable. She started by telling me how much she missed living in El Salvador. She told me she lived really close to the beach and
On Thursday after class, my roommates Mckenna, Maddy and I were sitting at the cafeteria tables. All of us were deep into our laptops, and reading assignments, when suddenly a young man approached my friend Maddy. He states: “Hey, want to go out?” Maddy looked at us as if she had just seen
It's time to travel to the part of the world most conducive to long-term post apocalyptic survival and then start building the base of your dreams, but that leaves the big question, "Where are you going to go to escape the zombie hordes and live in your self sustaining utopia?" Let's stop and realistically think about the resources you'll need. First, major cities are definitely out, too many people. You're looking for a place with a low population density, that is to say, a low number of people crammed into every square kilometer of that city. You can already quickly eliminate the coastlines of most continents, including Australia, all of eastern Asia, most of the middle eastern India and everywhere in Europe. From there, we need to think about the
In my opinion, freedom needs to be repeatedly earned, generation after generation. I believe this because years upon years have been dedicated to winning freedom in certain categories, and within our country itself, but after those years, some of the freedoms are taken away. Some people completely devoted their lives to develop free countries, or gain freedom in other ways, and succeeded, but then, the freedom was taken back. I do not see that as being fair.
It all started as I made my way home from work. We (A1) ... on a top secret computer programme for over a year, and everyone (A2) ... pretty nervous about finishing on time, so it was good to get away from the office. It (A3) ... and it seemed like everyone was travelling home at the same time, anxious to avoid getting wet. I went down into the underground station and (A4) ... for the train when I saw her at the end of the platform. Her red leather jacket reminded me of something I (A5) ... in a film, although I couldn't remember when. As I watched, she opened her handbag and took out what looked like a hand-held computer. She (A6)... something on the
We decided to leave right after finishing breakfast. We walked down to the bus station and waited a few minutes for the bus. The bus that came looked old and small. The bus was almost empty, it was quiet except for the toddler that was crying right behind us, but we didn’t mind because it was only a 10 minute bus ride. When we got to the exchange Rosi and I had to cross the street to get to another bus stop. Rosi pulled out her video camera and started asking me questions about where we were and what we were doing, like a video diary. She gave me the camera, it was my turn to ask the questions, I made her do a
