Anna has been doing an exceptional job adjusting to camp life; she’s been having lots of fun and hasn’t had any problems with homesickness so far. She gets along really well with her other two tent mates, Livie Jennings and Gigi Bylinsky. Although, the tent is always full of energy and fun, we’re working on rule following and respect. We have been discussing the importance of some of Aloha Hive’s rules and how they are put in place to make our experience here better. Anna has been very open to change, and the infractions are really very minor. We have also been focusing on the importance of community and trying to break down the cliques that have started to form in the unit, this is a gradual process and Anna is doing a great job of gradually …show more content…
We are planning to do some really fun things this summer as a tent family like a canoe breakfast, an overnight, and a breakfast with Kathy. Anna is super outgoing and has had no problems making friends outside of the tent like Vivi, Morgan, Hana, and Jenna. Anna has also been very interested in the Landsports department, she has been there every day she has been in camp and is also working on her first rank. She has been doing a great job leading stretches and she has been rapidly improving her running ability. I am excited to see her finish her first rank, and I have no doubt she will continue to excel. Anna passed her swim check and has been doing a great job during her swim lessons. Even though she doesn’t think so, she is extremely athletic and has been doing a great job in both departments. Anna has been going to activities with her other two tent mates, so many of the activities she goes to are influenced by others, but as the summer goes on I think she will be able to go to the departments she loves, but her friends don’t like Farm and
Hi guys! This past weekend we were graced with a much needed fall break. After a few weeks of constant studying, it was nice to have a four day weekend to sit back and relax. After my two tests on Friday I drove seven hours to meet my dad and my girlfriend's dad in Pittsfield Illinois for a few day hunting trip at a lease that my dad has. It was a long drive, but it was worth it when I arrived to a 16oz prime rib at one of my favorite restaurants, the Red Dome. Unfortunately the corn and soybeans had not yet been cut around our farm so we did not see as many deer as usual, but we still had fun and relaxed for a few days.
I arrived on scene at about 0025 hours. I made contact with Deputy Williams and he advised the female who was reported to have left was in the residence and she had a severe injury to her face.
Anna’s Story by Bronwyn Donaghy was first published in Australia in the year 1996. It was based on a true story of a young teenage girl named Anna mixing with the wrong group of friends. As a consequence, she became like one of them. Anna did things that she would never do when she was younger. She started to lie to her parents in order for her to attend the rave party with her friends, which was something that surprised everyone around her. She started smoking cigarettes, taking marijuana and even more dangerous drug such as Ecstasy, which eventually led to her death. Anna’s Story was a story of our time told simply and powerfully by people who knew Anna well and by Anna herself through her poems and letters. The main purpose of this book is to raise awareness about the dangers of drugs to a wide audience.
I knew her for less than a year, but in that short time we got to know each other as well as if we had been friends for our entire lives. I met Anna Rondeau* at a private online high school where we were both taking a few courses. With long, sleek, chestnut hair and mischievously twinkling eyes, Anna was one of the most fun-loving girls I knew. Everyone loved her for her blunt honesty, entertaining personality, sharp wit, and charming southern mannerisms. Oddly enough, our best friends shared the same first name and both Anna and I wanted to be the same thing when we grew up. To listen to us banter over both the most serious and trivial of matters, it would have been difficult for someone who didn’t know to guess that we lived over a thousand
Anna Howard commenced employment at Marcus Hair Affair at the start of May. She was an apprentice hairdresser. Whilst she is still employed she does not feel comfortable returning to work. Throughout the course of May she received numerous unappropriate sexual comments, gestures, unwarranted physical contact of a sexual nature that made her extremely uncomfortable.
Since the day he slapped her, he began to be more violent and abusive. She set him as her only priority. She quit the cheerleading team and was becoming secluded from the world. All she could think about was making sure she met his needs. School became a blur, she constantly wore long sleeves to cover up the scars he made, never engaged in anything, and always kept quite. She rarely talked to her parents because she knew they were consumed with finding Cass. Rina would always ask what's wrong her and Caitlin always said she was fine, even though she knew it was biggest lie she told. Through all of this, she continued to talk to Corrina, who was the only person that seemed to care about her. Soon, they grew closer and began a bond that would

I asked him what was going on he responded “if you heard that crash that was your cousin hit van” I replied by saying “her breaks weren’t working that well an…” he stopped me “you were watching her” I responded back by say “I told her not to RIDE DOWN HILL. But she didn’t listen to me and I knew something like that happen if she didn’t listen to me” replied “should of told your papa” I said “I know”.
I honestly do not know why, but I love the name Gianna! It is just a really majestic name to me! Gee-on-uhh! I LOVE IT! If I have a child someday, (and if it’s a girl) I wanna name her Gianna! Or maybe even Katana! :O I LOVE THAT TOO! <3 I don’t know why but I love those names. Maybe it’s just a faze… OOOH! I just thought of another name I like! Mable… maybe. Yeah, I think I’m going through a faze, because I used to love the names Payton and Riley, but I suggested the name Payton to my aunt and uncle, because they were having their second baby. And when they took the name Payton, I didn’t wanna name my kid that when I’m older, because I thought i’d be awkward. So now I like the names Katana and Gianna! I don’t know why I don’t like the name
The first week in June. The most anticipated week. The week of camp. But not just any camp—4-H Camp—where campers learn valuable skills, grow more self-esteem, heighten confidence levels, and experience the best week of summer. In four days, the whole camp is alight with joy, happiness and laughter. It is here where I was shaped into the person I am today. I gained responsibility and the impact of someone wanted what is best for all campers. As a camper I have experienced a growth in self-esteem and confidence which leads to meeting new friends.
Mia in uncomfortable in her hair color being that her parents and little brother have blonde hair, but Mia is a brunette. Mia says, “I look nothing like the rest of my family. They are all blond and fair and I'm like their negative image, brown hair and dark eyes. […] Sometimes I did feel like I came from a different tribe.” Mia often says how different she is from her family. The differences makes Mia feel like an outsider in her own family. But when Mia wears a blonde wig for Halloween, Mia says “Maybe it was the blond wig, but this was the first time I ever thought I actually looked like any of my immediate family.” The wig allows her to pretend to be someone else, someone who fits in not just at school but within her family. As a blonde,
You’ll be excited to read about one girl who are very rare, who have rare tastes, and sometimes is very crazy with the things that she express and say so they had better prepare.
“Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not sleep, but we shall all be changed-.” (1 Corinthians 15:51) Death is inevitable and many people have different views and opinions on the concept of death. Emily Dickinson is known for her many poems about death that show a peaceful, subtle acceptance of the unknown. In “Because I could not stop for Death” by Emily Dickinson, the speaker is reminiscing her experience of death and the transition into eternity. Throughout this poem, thematic elements including figurative language, imagery, and tone effectively demonstrate the speaker’s acceptance and experience with death and aid in establishing a better understanding of the theme.
A girl named Alison grew up in a small town with both her parents and had several siblings. She was able to go to school and hang out with her friends whenever she wanted, but there was always something in the back of her head bothering her, the thought that her life was missing something, her life was incomplete. She lived a normal life, she grew up to be a nice young woman, and she even married the love of her life and had three beautiful girls with him. Alison never went through any hardships in life. Although Alison’s life seemed to be better than most, she still felt incomplete. Her, her husband and three daughters always went out and did many things as a family. They went to parties, went on camping trips, and even went to
As with any relationship, deepening the connection with each of my campers took time. To achieve this, I led a small group each morning in which we discussed everything from Disney princesses to difficult friends. Eating with my campers became something I regularly enjoyed, and praying with each individual girl before bed established their trust in me. Beyond
When I first moved to New Jersey I met a girl named Jessica. I first met Jessica at a church I started attending, a woman spoke to me of another nanny who had moved to New Jersey and told me she thought we would hit it off. A few weeks later in a class held at church, I sat next to a girl with long black hair with a bubbly personality. coincidentally, this girl happened to be the other nanny who was Jessica. We soon found out that we had quite a few things in common such as we both liked country music, we are both from the West, she was from California and I'm from Utah. We were both nanny’s comma and we both love to shop and eat food.
