Personal Narrative: Another Digger Win

On January 22, 2017 at Lower Macungie Community Center gym two Lower Macungie Youth Association (LMYA) were playing against each other. They were playing basketball. No team was getting demolished.

My friend Mason’s Mom took me and Mason to Cedar Point at nine in the morning. We had to drive over a long bridge to get there. We saw signs with funny jokes on them. By the time we got there it was packed we finally found a parking spot.

On my tenth birthday me, Alyson, Hannah, and Kennedy all went to Worlds Of Fun not knowing what would happen. We were walking around the amusement park. We walked into the entry where a harsh scent of funnel cakes and vomit hit us. We gave the ticket booth manager gave us our tickets in exchange for our money. Then, we stopped at a guessing game. The rules were that we could either have the person in charge guess our weight or guess our age. I wanted him to guess my weight. If he guessed wrong then I could pick out a prize. He guessed that I was 75 pounds. He was wrong by five pounds .I was very happy because I won a soft, potato

On my 13th birthday my friends and I went to a lazer tag place down the road from my house . I was new to the idea of "lazer tag" and honestly i was a little nervous . We walk in the dimmly lit building the smell of nachos and the sound of kids laughing filled the air . We make our way to the low standing black counter . I approach the man behind the counter to buy a ticket .

It was a great summer year in 2011, I had my first summer job as a cook at a summer camp. I had a blast every day, interacting with the kids and playing with them. Every day during my brakes I would go to the water front because the camp had a blob. The kids would get so excited when I came because since I am a big guy I would make them fly in the air with the blob. The camper would jump on to the blob and crawl to the end and sit facing the water. I would then run towards the blob from a tall dock and jump on it, landing on a sitting position making the kid on the other end be launch in to the air and landing on the water. In order for this to go well I needed to have my glasses on because without them I couldn't land the landing right

We all sprinted to the boat most of the team got shot but 3 of us were still running we finally made it after the longest sprint of my life it had to be at least 500 yards away and we got to the boat before the other team and shot out 6 people which meant only 4 people left. We continued to hold down the building and shoot everyone out, We won! That moment. That second sparked the ignition of a soon to be paintball player.

In the middle of July my baseball team played in a tournament in Deadwood we went up on a Saturday afternoon. We played 2 games on Saturday we won both of them which meant we got to stay the night and play a game on Sunday. We didn’t play until 5 o’clock Sunday evening so we had lots of time to kill. On Monday, January 15th at 7:59 p.m. I was turning left onto cottonwood drive northwest from Alameda Boulevard, east bound. I went through the four-way intersection west-bound towards the second for-way stop, which cross roads are Cottonwood drive northeast, cottonwood drive northeast, and Cibola place northwest. Before I could reach this intersection, I hit an unavoidable pot hole. This pot hole was located at the two-way stop between Kohl’s and Office Max, I had the right of way. After hitting this pot hole head on, due to the inability to swerve because of oncoming traffic, instantly my car warned me of low tire pressure and I came to a complete stop. It was the first football game of the season and my first year on the varsity football team. I was in at quarterback in a wildcat formation. I took the snap and took off to the right studying the players around me waiting for a hole to open up. When I saw the hole, I planted and I cut up field as hard as I could and

You know those days when you get bored and then do random things for no reason at all, well this was one of those days. I was 4 at the time not even in school yet, My sister Brilee, had just got into first grade. We had devised the most awesome game ever, it might not have a name but it was still awesome. The basic concept was to jump down off of this little pool thing, we called a tuggy boat, and grab a vanilla wafer, eat it and repeat until out of food. One day I was walking with my friend Ethan to school. It was a long walk but we were not late. When we got to school I got a text from my dad that we could win a plane for three whole days. Ethan and I was really excited but I thought that we were not going to get it, because there is a lot of people that want this plane.

Half way through our softball season my mom asks if my friend Brianna, and I could clean the house so we did. Once we got done my mom told us since we did a good job that she would take us camping the next day. It was early april of 2017, I was just barely 19 at the time, and I was bored out of my mind. I had finished high school in 2016 and decided to take a year off. I was working part time and that meant that I had a lot of free time on my hands but had nothing to do. I went to my grandparents house one april morning, and went there to find out if they had anything that they needed done for projects or household chores. My grandfather led me out to the yard and there it sat. A 1986 Wheel Horse riding lawn mower.

When i finished eating my cereal I rushed up stairs and took a shower and headed to enter the drawing. I got there at 10:30 and was very excited to see if i would win. After entering I headed home and sat by the phone hoping that they would call. I waited and waited and waited and it seem like it was never going to be 12:00 but then all that waiting was over. It was finally 12:00 and then the phone rang. I was very nervous but excited, I reached over and grabbed the phone and answered it. I had won a free trip to outer space!

Our team went to a nursing home and played bingo with the residents. My bingo partner was Rita Connelly and we immediately became friends. Even though Rita and I didn’t win a game of bingo, we had a lot of fun. At the end of the day, she asked if she could have my number so we could stay in touch. I gave her my number not thinking anything of it. A week later I got a call from Rita asking when we were going to see each other again. I set a day that week to go see her again.
