This year, I have three superb friends. They inspire me to do by best at just about everything. Audrey is inspiring when it comes to Cross Country, something she’s not the best at. Katie motivating when it comes to my writing, and C.j. encourages me to do my best, and always learn more. Audrey is uplifting when in Cross Country, or running long distance. First of all, she tries really hard at practice, even though she certainly isn’t the best on the team, she’s always trying to get better. Not only that, but she has asthma, which acts up when we’re running, she does her best to run through the difficulty. This does nothing to smother her positive attitude, she will not talk abominably about practice, no matter what. Even though she wants to do well, she has offered to let me go ahead of her. She wants to do well too, and this compassion is genuinely inspiring. …show more content…
Katie is stimulating, but it does not have anything to do with running. At the beginning of this school year, I started writing a story. Throughout writing it, I have become tired of going on, with nothing interesting to write. However, when Katie began to read it, I couldn’t stop writing. She is always pushing me to write more, especially since I wrote over ten pages in one weekend. Katie is always telling me that the story is marvelous, and that in itself is unquestionably inspirational. Lastly, when there is more to read, she won’t stop reading. This simple act, though small, makes me want to write, it is stirring. These small acts will always boost my mood, and want to keep
I interviewed Ashley Porras, a Licensed Vocational Nurse at Sharp Rees Stealy. She gave me background information of how she got into the healthcare system, great advice and what she does on a daily basis. The reason I chose Ashley as the person to interview was because I got the chance to spend the day with her at work and I loved it. I found it interesting what she did and got the opportunity to learn more about her, her occupation and where she see’s herself in the future. Someday, I would be an LVN and gradually get higher in the healthcare field like she is doing now.
On the night of December 19th, 2003, a baby is born. Her mom’s a social worker, her dad’s a nephrologist, and she has one older sister. Her name is Sophia Galoustian, although later she will wish to be called Sophie. After two years of living in Maine, the family moves to California, where Sophie will grow up.I am Sophia Galoustian, and this is part of who I am.
Lauren Rezac- My weekend did not really start off to exciting. Right after my Fast-Pitch game I was picked up by my dad in our 1962 jeep. When we got home we had supper and we all stayed up for a little bit and went to bed. On Saturday I had the house to myself, my dad was helping our neighbors while my mom and sister were in ST.Cloud.So When I was at home I was pretty bored so I did what most bored kids I know would do turn up the music and make a little mess, basically I made slime. When mom and Alexis came back my sister got a call from my dad to go help out so I went with her.I helped by steering the tractor when she got bored and she did the speed and stuff like that. On Sunday we gave mom her gifts then we got ready to trapshooting me
Before asking any questions, Erin starts off by mentioning how amazed she is by runners she states “ But whenever i actually talk to a runner, i see the passion for the sport eeking out of every body movement they make”. She doesn’t understand how they can run for miles and miles without getting tired while she gets tired by just simply chasing after her kids. She figured that a runner would be perfect to interview. She chose Noelle because her and Erin have a lot in common they are both mother of two kids, twins to be exact and both love to do photography. Noelle Isaak just recently began running but in such a little time she has trained hard for marathons, she even fainted at the GO! St. Louis Marathon which was held in extremely hot and humid weather she only ran 21 out of 26 miles. She explains that her training routine is a very long and rigorous process from spending 5 to 7 days a week training for up to 2 to 4 hours and still having to come home to start off her normal day. No matter how many marathons she’s run she still likes to train as if it’s her first race because she believes that running is one of the hardest sports. One question in specific that was interesting was “What do you think is the biggest misconception about the sport or runners in general?” her answer was very open and honest. She responded with “That running must come easy. Until recently i was never a runner. I never felt like i was cut
Mikayla’s friends have also helped make her who she has become today. My friend, Meghana, who was mentioned earlier, has helped make me more outgoing and confident. Mikayla’s other friend, Kaitlyn, has shown her to be herself and not care what other people think. I have only known Kaitlyn for about one year now, but I can tell she will be a lifelong friend and as will Meghana. I am very grateful and blessed for all my supportive friends and
Patience is wearing thin , the shocking moment is almost here. Then a miracle happens! A beautiful brown eyed baby is born into this world.
I turned in my form for Running Club by the end of the week and was ready to start running. When training began, we ran a few laps around the school and I noticed as the runs came to be longer, I would become tired sooner. Miss. Ames noticed and ran alongside me. During the runs, we would discuss other topics which would distract me from thinking about my performance in the run. Later on, the coaches would time the runners to see our performance. Being timed increased my irritation with my performance; however, Miss. Ames reminded me that I was making progress regardless of what my
When I was six I wanted to be Hannah Montanna. When I was 12 I still dreamed of becoming a pop-star, but figured I could have a second job too – just in case. I’m seventeen now and I’ve have read Maya Angalou and Ralph Waldo Emerson; I’ve studied American history, marvled at astounding scientific discoveries, and cheered for political revolutions. I've traveled to different states and analyzed geological features for the aesthetic beauty and for the geological history. I've done many things, the logical step here would be then for me to pick; speak or forever hold my peace, but in all honesty, I don't know what I want to be. My six-year old self would say it's because I've seen too much, I think it's because I haven't seen enough. I want to
On April 26th,1999 I emerged into the world a happy baby given the name Bethany Gavin. I’m now in year 12 and I attend Cooks Hill Campus, Big Picture. My education began here in year 10 after leaving three years of home schooling and have grown as a student as the years have gone on.
Throughout our lives, we all make sacrifices in order to achieve our goals or to help others achieve their goals. For some, this may mean sacrificing friendships or family time, or for others it may mean sacrificing money and other dreams which may also be of great importance to us. A person who has made many sacrifices in order to achieve their aspirations or goals is someone with strength, determination and masses of will-power, and it is someone who is not prepared to give up on their dream.
Lauren and the others in her group are in a new situation; they have to survive out of the walls. Lauren said, "Everyone who's surviving out here knows things that I need to know... I'll watch them, I'll listen to them, and I'll learn from them. If I don't, I'll be killed. And like I said, I intend to survive" (Butler 173). She's always focused on adapting to new situations - but one key to that is learning from others and bringing a group together to support each other.
The day she was set to leave Atlanta was so much fun she felt as if it was a vacation having days of not doing anything but running. On the bus and hours of driving feel so long sleeping most of the way, once everyone arrived to the rooms, off to sleep for the whole team pre limes tomorrow. Early the next morning as everybody was getting ready for their race; she got nervous feeling butterflies in her stomach, not knowing what to really expect today while consequently the race. Once we got to the track, everything that was a thought changed, she didn’t know what was going to happen now when starting the 300 hurdles race.
Amber's life had always been a breeze, suddenly everything fell apart. Her father had his own business and was doing very well in life. Then they lost everything due to her father's unorthodox decision to engage in drugs. Around the same time they found out he had cancer and that Amber was with child. After her father passed away, Amber delivered a beautiful baby girl named Annabel, who brought the light back into Amber's life. The first two years of Annabel’s life were tremendous; Amber attained a job, went to school to receive her GED, and started college immediately. Although it didn't last, she revamped herself for her daughter's sake. When Annabel was four years of age, she witnessed her mother get molested by a stranger, and that lead
Développer your leg behind your ear, keep your arms light while not weak, grand jeté in a perfect split with balloon, stay pulled up in your core at all times, smile through the pain of dancing on the tips of your toes, on three inches of wood covered in satin. All things that are crucial if you want to be a professional dancer. All things I can do. But, now that I actually am a professional, I’m positive I lack the confidence.
She was more than just a nanny, she made the girls feel like family. She's very dependable, willing to do what it takes to be our 2nd hand. She's self driven never did we have to wonder at any time that our kiddos were not in the best hands they could possibly be in. She always planned the day with something productive and fun. I knew Evie and Vanna was her priority. She found ways to turn learning into a fun activity, always setting goals for them and herself. She practiced a healthy lifestyle with them with diet and excercise. They were treated as if they were her own. We seen this in everything she did, her motivation to not only be a baby sitter but to be a role model, teacher, leader and their everything when we couldn't be. She involved
