Before the exercise the breathing decreased when I was counting how many breaths I can take in a minute. However whilst breathing, my breathing rate was not normal but it was essential for me to keep the results reliable.
This paper will recount the development and history of narrative therapy and provide a brief background assessment on the founders and significant contributors to the postmodern approach of Narrative Therapy. The role of the therapist, the theory of change, the target of intervention, the assessment from this approach, and what the approach says about normalcy, health, and pathology will be presented. It will also discuss how narrative therapy might work with and be sensitive to the cultural and diversity factors and give some examples of intervention from this approach. It will then discus the case using concepts and ideas from narrative therapy and the application of the essential ideas of the narrative therapy in the case and, where appropriate,
Let’s be honest, before this week I did not know there were four different kinds of liberal arts. When I think of the liberal arts I think just that art. Never would have thought that what I am working on completing would be a liberal art degree in science. I want to share my new fond knowledge of the four liberal art breath areas. Hold on to your seats because I am about to rock you with knowledge.
The second day of my practice I felt that I had made some progress towards my goals of improving my time management and getting my documenting done earlier and providing relevant healing initiatives for my client.
I am Mr. Lungs. I am located on either side of the chest. I am in the respiratory system. Air is taken to the body from the nose, or the mouth, then taken to the trachea, which branches off to the bronchi, then to me. I work with the heart and the blood as well. My main functions are to do a process called “respiration,” or breathing. In respiration, oxygen from incoming air enters the blood, and carbon dioxide leaves the blood. In order to do this, oxygen, coming from air, comes to the nose, or the mouth, then to the trachea, then the bronchi, and finally to me. I am important because, I supply the body with oxygen, and take waste out. The Human Body Corporation needs oxygen to live. You should not fire me because, the Human Body Corporation
“Babe, I think we need to talk,” Tyler’s face was serious, “it’s about us and our future.” He took my hand and led me towards the couch.
The exercise I have chosen to explore is playing volleyball, something I did a lot of in high school. In order to fully break down exactly what is going on in the brain when playing the game, each aspect would need to be broken down and analyzed. In this paper I will be analyzing receiving (from the opponent or teammate) and passing the ball (to the opponent or teammate), In each of these actions, there is a certain amount of planning and execution involved, along with some reflexes that come into play when there isn’t enough time to plan, as volleyball is a very fast moving game that involves many other people’s actions that are sometimes hard to judge.
Walking from my car, I grab a lukewarm Dr. Pepper as I make my way into my house. As I make my way up to my room I toss my backpack onto my bed, fall into my desk chair and crack open the soda. Another basic day at school topped off with sports practice that went to long and a mountain of AP Biology, AP Government and AP whatever homework. It’s already 6:00 PM and even though I should get started on my homework, I kick my feet up on my bed and out of reflex my phone is in my hand and I’m instantly taken back by the ungodly amount of messages I missed during practice. As I scan the texts I can’t believe I forgot what happened today. Avenged Sevenfold released a new album. It’s been the only thing that my friends have been talking
“I can't do it.” I froze pointing the gun with my finger on the trigger, but too afraid to squeeze, i hear my friend scream “you can do it just pull the trigger” I did and saw the flash I froze again, when I took my mask off I saw the pool of oh god I messed up the pool of metal was now cooling, my T-Joint was welded incorrectly. I sat looking at my joint, it was messy I was the worst of my class; it came so natural to everyone else. Dynasty was our top student, she had a perfect weld on her first try, while I just had two plates barely held together by a single blob of molten metal. I tried not to let it get to me, but to be honest, it did well at least in the beginning, but eventually I overcame my troubles and I was able to pass my final test.
In my life there have been multiple times of intensity. Some have been super sad like my mother dying, some have been angry like my dad not showing up for court to fight for custody, and one in particular was scary. The moment i,m talking about it when my brand new house burned down. I just got home from school and it was raining, so I went to my room to do my homework, while my grandma was cooking. It was cold outside so my grandma decided to light the fireplace. Before this day she had always forgotten to open the damper in the fireplace so the fire alarm would go off all the the time. So when I was doing my homework and heard the alarm go off I didn't think anything but “oh well grammy forgot the damper again.” So I just went on doing my
Throughout my life and career, I have prided myself on looking at all the angles, listening with intent to comprehend verses respond, and proving thought provoking advice that challenges individuals to use their mind when dealing with any situations. Until recently, I was unaware there was a concept to describe that approach. This concept is known as Intellectual Stimulation and is my current leadership style. According to Noncommissioned Officer Academy Distance Learning Course 15, intellectual stimulation occurs when a leader values their subordinates’ rationality and intellect, seeking different perspective and considering opposing points of view. Now that I have an understanding of the concept, I can build on that foundation to develop personally and professionally while improving my relationships with my subordinates, peers, and supervisors. My plan for developing my personal leadership tools will require the use of a three to five year plan to maximize effectiveness.
I have been progressing fairly well on my learning goals for semester 1, from the beginning of semester 1 until now from learning about anatomy to physiology and to hands on techniques. I cant believe my own self that in such little time that I have learnt so much. One of the things I have learned so far is the muscles origin and insertion following the bones of the body this allowed me to apply my knowledge on hands on experience such as palpation of the bones and muscles. Another thing I learned in this semester is from physiology class learning about the cardiovascular system and blood flow this allowed me to apply my knowledge from that into my clinical assessment for taking blood pressure and vitals for a patient. Overall I think my learning
I feel that my respiratory system is in perfect condition, and I would rate it a ten. I play the flute so I am constantly improving my lung capacity, as well as my lung endurance and strength. It’s important to regularly exercise my lungs to keep my respiratory system in shape. To continue maintaining a healthy respiratory system, I will make sure to avoiding smoking in the future, which would damage my lungs.
I dance to convert my thoughts into actions, and now I write to express my thoughts without hesitation. It was not always this effortless. As a teenager, I played soccer to transform my parent’s dreams into reality. However, these dreams dissipated like smoke into the air once I was benched every game for two years as a member of the junior varsity soccer team in high school. Although my parent’s joy seemed to radiate, my shame manufactured notions that seemed to only blacken. Even though I feared revealing the truth, I could not continue down this unhappy path any longer. Upon the conclusion of the season my sophomore year, I managed to teach myself something vital— I needed to put on my oxygen mask first.

I was overjoyed I made their aspirations come true when I was chosen to be a part of the junior varsity soccer team my freshman year.
