Last Christmas up at the North Pole, five before Christmas, everyone was busy trying to get ready. Charlie was getting all of the elves in line finishing up the decorations and rehearsing. He was the head the elf’s assistant. He was talking to Ginger when Peppermint busted in the workshop with three reindeer. “The toys are missing and the sleigh is broken!” exclaimed Peppermint. Charlie went with the elves and talked to Santa. “What if use one of the iPhones to find the toys?” asked Ginger. “Thats a great idea,” shouted Santa, “you can take a few reindeer with you and go see if you can borrow a car from a neighbors to the South!” So they all packed their bags and started walking. They thought about riding the reindeer but remembered they couldn't until 2 days before Christmas. They decided on walking to Canada following the wrapping paper trail. A few hours later they finally made it to a small town. The village had a small cafe with Wifi so they stopped there. Find my iPhone said the toys were at the South Pole! The awful horrendous elves lived there. Now they had to find something to get them to Antarctica. On there way out of the cafe they saw sign that had numbers of people who had cars for sale. They called they guy, Johnny, who had the van. He was done the block so Johnny met them at the cafe. After hearing the elves situation he gave them the van for free. As soon as they were done talking Johnny left them with the keys. They headed for Mexico City where they
It was Christmas eve, the smell was amazing! My mom’s Christmas cookie yankee candle was burning and the smell was still lingering from where me and my mom baked cookies and brownies to eat on christmas morning. I was in my room where I couldn’t go to sleep, My TV was still running hallmark christmas movies and I heard yelling from my parents bedroom but I was too comfortable to get up so I brushed it off and I finally told myself to get some sleep for the long and exciting morning that was just a couple hours ahead of me.The next morning was christmas morning I was wearing my favorite pajamas, a long-sleeve black shirt with two glittery hearts in the middle and my matching long black pants with red, pink, and white polka dots but
Rain pummelled Chanyeol's face and soaked through his coffee shaded hair as he spotted the block of flats he called home appearing in the distance. He made his way to the entrance doors which needed replacing judging from the way Chanyeol always had to barge through them. The doors open, the hinges making an ear-bleeding squeak that he could never get used to no matter how many times he had heard it before. This place was falling apart day by day, graffiti covered the walls with profanities to the point where painters gave up trying to wash it off. Grime smudged across its walls, strung with thick cobwebs and always had a faint smell of cigarette smoke. But it wasn’t a problem, only enough to be a slight annoyance of his day. It was an old
I think Christmas has always been one of my favorite holidays. Maybe because of the special atmosphere that you can feel everywhere, in shops, restaurants , pubs and even streets, where you can hear the magical carols, or maybe it's because of its religious background, but what I can tell you for sure is that I can't think of anything more exciting than the image of the entire family preparing the Christmas Tree or fixing the Christmas dishes.
Winter break had just began and I could feel the adrenaline running through my veins. I was so excited for the trips I was going to go on. It was Monday, the first day of winter break, and my dad took my sister, Alex, and I down to Oceanside. We were headed to my grandma’s house, where my Tia Krissy and my cousins, Olivia and Cici, would be heading to as well. My older cousin, Julia was on her way from Carlsbad when we arrived to my grandma’s house. After we arrived, my grandma was pleased to see us and we gave her big hugs. The house smelt like she had been cooking. My grandma loves to cook. We had beans, rice, and tortilla chips, I love my grandma’s beans and rice, you can taste the love. The food was great, so I got a second serving.
Christians celebrate Christmas as the birth of Christ; the rejoicing in the birth of our savior, and His influence on our lives today. It can also be a time of healing and renewed strength. While looking back and celebrating the birth of Christ, it should also be a time of looking ahead in preparation when He will come again. Many people lose sight of this perspective and get entwined in the worldly trappings of the holidays. They forget there is a spiritual meaning that does not require boxes and bows, but rather service and love. In our family, this is significant to our religious beliefs and what my parents hold sacred. The true meaning of Christmas is unconditional love for and service to others.
Whether it be a time of celebration, or an annual visit from Saint Nicholas, Christmas is a time for families to come together, laugh, and exchange gifts. However, it is the joy of peeling back thick, snowman-covered paper that often steals the spotlight. From dolls and toys to a new puppy, gifts can capture the hearts of high-spirited children. The celebration has been a national holiday in the United States since 1870, though this tradition extends back for millennia. In the Roman world, the Saturnalia was a festive time consisting of partying and exchanging of gifts. For Christians, gift-giving comes from the three wise men, who presented treasures to Christ.
It's Christmas Eve and I scurry about the house getting ready for the party. Sense I live by myself I had plenty of time to set up Christmas decorations and it was that ample time that made my house a vibrantly lit and covered in lavish decorations of Santa and his minions. The smell of ham permeated the air as I giddily pranced towards the oven putting on mittens to take out the supple honey ham.
In our house lasagna is a dish made for special occasions, my mom is the only one that makes it. Every year, before my grandfather passed away, my mom would make lasagna for my brother, father, grandfather, and I. When I was in elementary school my grandfather and grandmother got divorced, they couldn’t even be in the same room together. Therefore, in order to be able to spend time with both of them during the holidays we would need to have two of each holiday. Christmas Eve is when we would have Christmas with my grandfather. Lasagna isn’t just my favorite meal because it tastes good, it is the memories of my grandfather’s strength and fight that are associated with it that makes the meal special.
Scrooge was so excited see his grandkids again. He hasn't seen them in 2 years because they moved away ,but he is getting to see them because it's their birthday and what better place to celebrate then at his brand new mansion! He recently had a christmas bonus which for him is the equivalent of about $50,000,000,000,000,000 so like any logical duck he bought a mansion. This new mansion is has a sq footage of 1,000,000,000,000 has 100 bedrooms 200 bathrooms and so many other rooms that it would take a list 50 yards long to say them all. Even with all of this money though he wouldn't pay for transportation. He barely managed to convince himself to throw a party. They still hoped to have a good time though. 2 hours into the party though something terrible happened. “I can't find Huey Duey and Luey!” said uncle cluck. “What do you mean said Scrooge?” “What do you mean what do i mean? I can't find them!” “Did you check the 15 pools?” “Yes.” “Did you check the 17 arcades?” “Yes.” “What about the attic?” “i’ve searched this entire house top to bottom” Just as he finished his sentence Scrooge’s 300” flat screen tv dropped down from the ceiling and started playing a video. On the video Scrooge’s twin brother Puck McScrooge started talking. “I’VE TAKEN YOUR GRANDCHILDREN SCROOGE! AND I DON'T PLAN ON GIVING THEN BACK… UNLESS YOU WOULD TRADE YOUR MANSION FOR THEM! I'LL GIVE YOU 3 DAYS TO MAKE YOUR DECISION OR YOU WILL NEVER SEE THEM AGAIN! I'LL BE IN TOUCH!” Puck and Scrooge were
Did you know that people had added many lies to the Christmas narrative? Well I am the camel that carried one of the wise men. Did you know that Mary walked and there was know donkey? Did you know that the stable was in a cave? Did you know Mary was around twelve when she was with Joseph? Well in this story I see a bright star, get lots of things put on my back, and saw Herod and a little baby in a manger, you sure are in for a treat.

It was a crisp December morning, there hadn't been any snow yet, for Dighton rarely sees snow. I had gotten up to play video games before my bullies for brothers would kick me off of it. We had an Xbox back then, an original Stone Age version. It was getting close to Christmas time and the brand new Xbox 360 was coming out, man was I excited. My dad, Lloyd, gave us the illusion we wouldn't be able to dream of a gift like that for this Christmas and to think of another gift idea. Little did we know it was in his closet with the letters SANTA written on it. Before we get too far, I'd like to mention that my dad has been divorced for 4 ½ years at the time, and had just started to talk to Jeannie, my would be step mom. So he decided it was time for a getaway, he asked us our top five places to visit. Among those listed were: Mount Rushmore, The Grand Canyon, The Bahamas, Yellowstone National park, and a few others. The cheapest and most beneficial trip according to cost was the Nassau Bahamas. Our trip would consist of a trip to Orlando, a 4 day round trip cruise, and a once in a lifetime experience.
I sat awaiting all of my family members in the heat filled garage that would become much warmer as the night went on. It would be filled with loud laughter and cheering from my whole family. It would be smelling of grandma’s ham she cooked and pretzel salad my mom makes every year. I’m getting anxious as i hear a car pull up outside crunching on the black gravel. I rush to the window and see my cousins step out of the car, I rush to the door to greet them with a big smile on my face.
On Christmas Eve, I went to Tennessee and did early Christmas there and then I came home, but I was at home thinking and wondering was Santa real or not. I knew Santa was real because all the other Christmas eves and gave me many things. So I went in the living room and hung up my stocking above the chimney in the living room. I was just waiting on Santa to fill up my stocking and leave all the gifts under the Christmas tree. Every time I walked into a store in town I would see Santa pictures on the walls. It was very hard to believe if Santa was real or not it took me a long time to figure out he was. I was stuck on that subject for almost one hour until I finally believed that he was real.So when I went in my bedroom I heard a little squeaky voice and I followed it. I went onto the porch and put my old gray shoes on with a light and I traveled into the forest and through knee deep white snow. It took me a long way until I reached a very big wonderful place.
I was having a perfect Christmas Eve, I had just hung up my stockings making every single thing straight so when Santa slipped down the chimney it would be perfect. While I was organizing Santa's cookies and milk I started to wonder, was Santa really real? Of course he was real because every year on Christmas Eve he would leave me presents under the tree. I had also seen pictures of him everywhere down town when I was helping my mama Christmas shop. He was also on all kinds of decorations and goodies.
