One day around two o'clock pm I got a phone call from my dad. I answered it and it was awful news. He told me that our dog, Cruiser, had passed away. He was only four years old, and none of us were expecting it. I thought that nothing good would have ever come out of it. But something did. Cruiser and I were never that close, I never really ever wanted to go out and see him at our farm, but I still loved him to death. For a couple of months we were looking everywhere for a new dog. We looked in newspapers on social media, and told a lot of people to watch out for a dog ad. Finally one day we found an ad for golden red retriever puppies. We were all so excited. My dad contacted the guy and the
as we packed our stuff, I saw a dog come up to us and beg for food, so we fed him and we went to the wagon. as we were going the dog decided to follow us! My Father then picked him up and put him in our wagon.
My step-sister Mia and I were asking for a dog for a long time. We would always watch The Animal Channel show about dogs or vet, and it would make us think about how much we wanted a dog. Both of us had dogs before, but we did not have one anymore, we either got rid of them or they were with our other parent we didn't live with. So we would keep asking my dad over and over and bribe him by saying we would clean the house and clean and take care of the dog. One day before my sisters dance recital Mia and I were in the middle of watching TV when we saw an ad for a free dog we ran outside and begged for a dog. So he said he would think about it if we all could behave and keep the house clean. So we worked our hardest to keep the house clean, from cleaning my little brother's bedroom to cleaning both bathrooms. He lived up to his promise and started looking at dogs on Facebook we found one that was close by in Norwich and we were so excited when we found out that we were going to meet him after my brothers game. We were so excited at the game that we walked around to pass the time we sat on the dock at the park next to the field and were so excited we thought looking in the river would help pass time but it really made it go by slower. When we got in the car after the
My mom got us in the car and we did a drive over to the Grapeland Bulldog Rescue, they mainly rescued English and French Bulldogs, but the one my mom was after was Sophia. Sophia was a fat, white, 4 years old, smashed face, face only a mother could love kind of dog. She was a frenchie and those are high dollar dogs, but we were allowed to take her as long as we paid to get her fixed. The way my mom put it we were Sophia's “retirement home”, she had had 8 litters of puppies! Anyway while my mom talked business inside, Ally and I went outside to play with some frenchie puppies. They were so cute, smashed faced, chubby little things. They were white and black and super cute. After what I wish was forever, my mom called us inside and she and the lady who ran the place led us out back, she showed us Sophia's sister and Sophia's boyfriend. Sophia getting ready with the lady's husband inside, at this point I had no idea what sophia looked liked. Sophia’s sister was a lot like Sophia white, chubby, and smashed faced. Sophia's boyfriend was the same except black, and he actually had a tail. We learned a bit
I have always seeked to broaden my mind weather it thought learning new skills or meeting new people. One skill that I have learned over the years is how to care for dogs and other animals. My family started our own dog kennel when I was three years old, my family loves and cares for dogs 24/7. This is why I choose my pseudonym striving dog, to show how I look to better myself all the time and how dogs have had a huge influence in my life.
I was five when we got our first dog, he was a black and white Border Collie. His name was Tim. Tim was such a beautiful dog, he was one of the really peaceful ones that give parents confidence, and a sense of trust, to let them hang around children. He wouldn’t hurt a fly. I can’t remember much from when I was five, but I remember Tim. I remember his fleecy fur that just made you want to cuddle him. Sadly all good things come to an end. I was only nine, I thought he’d live forever. I didn’t know how feel, no pet could replace Tim. That’s when we decided as a family to get a new dog.
I woke up and i got ready, brushed my teeth, got dressed for school. my dad was dropping me and my sister off at school when he got a phone call from my grandma or know as his mom. The words that came out her mouth was marve died. That was my grandpa. My grandpa was my dads step dad. He started bursting into tears. That was the first time i saw my dad crying I asked what was going on to my dad he said your grandpa died. That was the first time i saw my dad cry ever it was so surprising. My dad drove away to go see her and comfort her. He asked her if she was ok and my grandma said i'm fine.
When I was 4 years old my mom told me that I could get a new puppy. His name was max he was a rat terror and when he was a puppy he was the sweetest puppy in the world and also the cutest. But then he started to get bigger then he became over protective and when you ran you would have gotten bitten by a 2-foot dog. Then there was a guy trying to rob owe house and max attacked him and hurt him pretty badly and then he sewed us but that didn’t work because he was robbing our house. Then we had to move and the apartment we moved to did not allow dogs so we had to find max a new home.
It was a Pitbull, we had assumed he came from a fighting ring because there were huge gashes and several bite marks. The dog looked like he hadn't eaten in days, everyone was surprised that he was alive. The dog was rushed into surgery, I wasn't allowed to watch because the dog was in such bad condition and my mom didn't want me to watch if they lost the dog on the table. However, I did see the dog as they carried him back and the look in the dog’s eyes, the pain and sadness, you could see how he knew that he probably wasn't going to make it. The surgery took a long time and was touch and go for a while but the dog made it through. I saw him months after he was adopted by the lady that found him and the look in his eyes was completely different, he was happy. That was when I knew every animal should have that look none should look like he did the first time I saw him.
Wrapped up in my pink, cozy, warm, blanket, trying to catch a few more winks of sleep before the earsplitting alarm abruptly awakened me, a pitter-patter sound entered my dreams. Reluctantly, I sleepily forced one eye open, then the other, and propped myself up on my elbow to notice a lengthy, ochre, blurry streak barreling through the hallway so quick, that, in my confusion, I tricked myself into believing that I might have just witnessed a cheetah in my hallway.
“While reviewing other dog name e-books I dug up this one and give it a 5 bark rating. The names suggested are grrrrreat!” Ruff McMuttley, author of So Many Trees So Little Time
In the beginning, I was taking my dog named Mindi outside. She was about half a year old. Mindi is half vizsla, fourth australian shepherd, fourth lab. I wasn’t paying attention because I was distracted by my cat gary.
In the year 2008 our beloved Boston terrier, Duke had died of a stomach illness. He had been with my dad since he was in college and was eleven years old. He would go outside on his own and was rarely misbehaved. It was hard on me since I was only six years old at the time. I eventually was able to get over it,but having a house with no dog just wasn’t the same. We all missed having a dog around the house and we missed taking care of one.
One, night Life finally decided to redeem itself.Mom and I considered getting a new dog. Since my dog bou past away. We looked for a couple of days until we found this white puppy it was like he was saying pick me!!!, pick me!!!He was not really big and he was about 5 weeks old, and he was very, very cute!!!He had fur as white as snow and as soft as cotton!!!
Two months ago when my grandmother passed away it was tough for my family. It felt odd, like we just lost something. It was hard to explain the feeling. My mom had it pretty rough and was going down hill. Then one day My dad decided to to get a dog I was sceptical initially but I agreed to it.
When I was around 2 my parents decided to get a dog because they lived in a apartment complex that got broken into often. They found a dog in the paper that got abused by it’s old owner and was looking for a better home. The dog was a full blooded red nosed pitbull, because my parents were looking for a dog to protect us they thought that that the pitbull would be perfect. My dad called the person in the paper to see how much the dog was and where we could go to see it. The man told my dad that the dog was only 100 dollars and the address the dog was at to pick the dog up. My dad went to go get the dog that day with my uncle Ty.
