It was my 16th birthday and my parents had decided to gift me a drone, thinking that I was responsible enough to use it without breaking it. All I can say is that they were mistaken. A few days after my birthday, I took the drone out for a flight and, me being an ignorant teenager, decided to fly the drone at top speeds without knowing how to control it properly. I ended up crashing the drone into my neighbor’s roof and hitting a tree before the drone landed. The drone was a monstrosity with pieces of wire hanging out, and the frame disfigured beyond belief. Out of fear of what my parents were going to do to me, I hid the drone in my garage and just acted like nothing had happened. Later that day, my mother came to my room and told me my cousins …show more content…
The first thing I did, of course, was attempt to acquire a free one from the company, but that was a failed endeavor. I had only one choice: FIX THE DRONE. The first thing I did was dismantle the drone, or at least what was left of it, to see how the drone operated. 2 DC motors weren’t working so I went on YouTube to learn how to fix these motors, and I ended up getting them operating again. Another problem was the shattered frame of the drone. It was cracked and bent so badly that the drone couldn’t go airborne anymore. To fix this, I read up on some basic aerodynamics and I studied pictures of how the frame looked before the accident. I was/am an active member of the Museum of Science and Industries Wagner Family Fab Lab so I was given access to its 3d Printers and Laser Cutters to create my own parts. I also knew how to use their respective software Autodesk Inventor and Inkscape. I designed propellers using polypropylene which is a light and durable plastic and I created the missing parts of the frame on the 3d Printer. Once I was finished, I didn’t just have a drone. I also had a new interest in
Constantly ask the dealer to offer you with spare parts for your drone. The majority of the drones available in the market featured extra rotors as these parts of the drone are vulnerable and can breakdown if consistently utilized.
Heights - When I was younger, my sister and I was playing in our tree house one day. We were playing tag and I was running by the door. Needless to say, I fell out of the tree house and broke my left leg and my arm.

Drones are not too cheap in price which is why you need to go for something that is durable in nature. Other than this, it should be easy to repair too. Buy a drone that can take hits before it finally breaks down. When you are racing with speed, the drone can get out of control and hit some objects in the way, so make sure you buy a sturdy and repairable drone. Your drone should also have the option to replace all the broken parts so that you don't have to invest in a new one in less
As the blood was dripping from Katherine neck I felt an oozing pain in my body. Looked over at Jacob, he smiled. My first drink of the year and I already felt guilt for what I had done. I didn’t like the new me, I didn’t like the way it made me feel. All my emotions were spinning in my head and my body I just can`t handle the pain.
The summer during 7th and 8th grade was the best summer that I’ve ever experienced! I had so much fun and made so many unforgettable memories with both my friends and my family. I even met a few celebrities, including Honey Boo Boo while down in Panama City, Florida! Summer has always been one of my favorite seasons because everyone can stay up late and sleep in as late as they want to. Just like everyone else, I relaxed by the pool for the majority of the summer.
It is a warm May night, and I couldn't be any happier. I am sitting in the middle of the Gwinnett Arena anxiously waiting to hear my name. "Look someone is waving the Mexican flag up there," the guy next to me said as he points to the audience. I turn around to see, and realize it's my family. I wasn't embarrassed at all. Actually, I was happy to see the excitement on their face. They call my name, and I go up to get my diploma. "WOW! I MADE IT," I think to myself. I immidiately wave my diploma at them and they wave the Mexican flag even harder. After the ceremony was over, we had over 500 seniors trying to find their families, it was total chaos. I didn't have a way to contact my family since we weren't allowed to have phones with us during
Highschool was always a rough time for me, I had no idea where I was going and what I was going to do with my life. One of my teachers had a talk with me and suggested I join the military. I followed his advice and chose the branch that best fit my goals; The U.S Air Force. To me joining seemed like the easiest and best way to go. I always dreamt of flying planes so working on them seemed like the second-best option for me.
At the start of the summer, I had the opportunity to fly to Michigan to see where my dad grew up. As I flew on the plane, I thought of all the sights I would be able to see and draw to share with my friends online about the exhausting yet fun travel to Michigan. But, as we grew closer and closer to Michigan, I was only able to see white, fluffy clouds cover the thick, oval window in front of me. So, for a while I slept and decided to not look out the window until we landed, until my overly excited mother vigoursly slapped my knee to jolt me up. I was in a state of shock but still dazy due to I was almost asleep. But, she told me to look out the window as I would see something I had never seen before. After, seeing out the window the first time,
In the Hugh’s Treats case, the customer whom the drone fell on and suffered serious head injuries can take legal action against Hugh’s treats and the manufacturer of the drones. Further, the wife of the man who died as a result of food contamination can sue the sea food restaurant for the death of her husband and for the poisoning she suffered. However, Hugh’s Treats can also sue the manufacturer and distributor of the drones for supplying defective products. In these cases, the plaintiffs must determine that they have suffered damages as a result of the injuries. The customers can also sue the operator of the drones. Malfunctions and crashes of drones are usually caused by manufacturing defects, which places most of the liability to the manufacturer.
I know there is no excuse for my poor academic performance this past quarter, however even with that in mind, I ask for one more opportunity. I am aware that I am just one of thousands of students in the university and, like all the other students here, am here because I want to make something of myself. I am not asking of another opportunity solely because it is an option for me at this point in time, I’m asking because I know that I am capable of performing a lot better than what I did last quarter. My performance was a demonstration of a naïve nineteen-year-old girl. I was an intern with College Works Painting (CWP) as of spring break this year. This internship devoured about twenty to thirty hours of my week and included all weekends of
One sunny morning my dad said I have a great idea let’s go on the boat so we put the fishing poles in the truck and went on are way. We got up to the docs and me my sister and my mom were holding on to the boat, while my dad put the truck away. We could tell the water was choppy but we didn’t know why so we paid no attention, “till it happens”.
I look into the eyes of my 9 year old cousin, Lee. His left eye twitches every so slightly as he smiles up at me. He holds up a toy set and I can see the glint of pride in his eyes as he excitedly tells me how he built it. “This one was a Christmas present,” he explains.
Death, a journey awaiting everyone just beyond their final breath. As far away as a lifetime, yet as close as a step. Something intangible till the instant it claims you. A journey that in its transition we hope is quick and painless, and we pray does not hurt too much for those we love. However, this was not the case with my sister. I know she suffered and it tears me apart, I'd even go as far as to say it kills me in a way to know my sister died in such a violent and vulgar way.
I am confident that almost all people have had to go through passed relatives belongings at one time or another. You know what I’m talking about. After “Uncle Edward” dies an e-mail or letter arrives with an itemized list of his belongings and you have been “invited” to choose what you want among the other relatives or close friends. To be honest, I find the whole experience awkward and strange.
