I grew up in my home country Egypt, in a time some may say I was lucky to have experienced and been a part of. I took part in helping a nation overthrow its dictator who reigned with tyranny longer than I had been alive. I am an Egyptian youth, who fought for my people’s stolen prosperity and withheld freedom against the famous thirty year old Mubarak regime. The Egyptian revolution was televised and kept under the global eye throughout each of its progressions, from start to end yet not holistic in merit.
Ancient Egypt is a fascinating ancient civilization. The Egyptian culture was heavily polytheistic with a complex view of the afterlife, which was evident in their architecture and communication. Even today as ancient Egypt melts together with modern Egypt. The pull of their ancient cities is still seen in Cairo and Alexandia.
When Cleopatra came out in 1963, it was running on the budget of $44 million ($297 in 2007 dollars). The movie follows Cleopatra VII, last queen and monarch of Ancient Egypt from 48 BCE (allying with Caesar) to her suicide in 31 BCE. Cleopatra was born in 69 BCE to Ptolemy XII and an unknown mother and she would later inherit the throne along with her brother Ptolemy XIII when her father died in 51 BCE. Her brother had gotten Cleopatra to leave Egypt the same Caesar came chasing his rival Pompey into Egypt. They crossed paths and became allies against Ptolemy XIII, getting Cleopatra’s power as the sole queen back along with a son, Caesarion. When we think of ancient civilizations the first one that normally stands out is Ancient Egypt. The Egyptians were one of the very few that arose to civilization independently, and accomplished many impressive things along the way. The Egyptian civilization stretched along the lower reaches of the Nile River in Northeastern Africa.
The continent of Africa is where Ancient Egypt was located. Ancient Egypt was a civilization that thrived by having the Nile River run through both the Lower and Upper Egypt. Lower Egypt was located in the north and had the Nile River that dumped into the Mediterranean Sea. In the south is where Upper Egypt was located which also had the Nile River running through it. The Nile River provided a way to transport back and forth between the Upper and Lower Egypt. The Nile River also made it possible for Ancient Egyptians to store up on plenty of water during flood times which happened at certain times of the year.

When it comes to the perceptions of death, often times death does not signal the end of all things in most religions. For some, death is typically seen as a continuation of life, with the possessions one held in life, following in death. For Ancient Egyptians death was a continuation and an obsession. Life and culture revolved around paving one’s way towards having as perfect an eternity in the afterlife. For followers of the Zoroastrian religion death was an end, and the potential beginning of an eternal life in bliss or suffering. Merits in the world would determine which eternal life would be lived. Both of these religions had some form of impact on the religion Judaism. One, Zoroastrianism, would greatly benefit Judaism with the assimilation of the ideas of the conception of what life after death would be. The other, the Egyptian religion, would have an adverse effect, causing Judaism to reject, or more likely to disagree with the Egyptian view of the afterlife. So as to gain a better understanding, it is vital to see what the afterlife was like and what it meant for both Egyptians and Zoroastrians so as to see how these two religions affected Judaism.
In the story of Exodus 12: 21-27, it it tells of how the tradition of Passover started and why this tradition is such an important part of what God did for the people of Israel. This story shows two very distinct sides of God, his vengeful side that he shows to the non believers of Egypt and also his merciful and loving side that he gives to his people. God’s compassion and commitments for his followers in this story sets a foundation for faith in him because it shows that God will protect you as long as you give him your compassion and commitment in return.
I hurriedly equipped myself with a gas mask, trench knife, and rifle. I ran out of the barracks and was immediately met with orders to support from the rear line trench. I remember being amazed at how fast everything was prepared in response to the attack, hundreds of men were already fighting, and the machine guns were already mounted and manned. I remember also being shocked by the chaos on the battlefield, it was nothing like how it was in training. Grenades were flying and shrapnel was being launched everywhere, accompanied by the onslaught of bullets coming from both sides. No one dared to go over the top and charge into the mine and barbed wire ridden No Man's Land, having it to where no progress was being made by both sides. We were sitting ducks, and I could’ve sworn that I heard the whizzing of planes above me, ready to bomb us at any moment, but luckily there was no such air raid to end us all. Just hours of incessant gunfire and
And so it was another day in the war. My father was a general and I am one of his thousands of soldiers . We as soldiers use the ancient pyramids to our advantage by using them as shields to block the bombs, bullets and swords coming at us. Once I asked my dad what temple that this one was, he said, “This tomb is where Menes lays to rest, he was 1 mauled by a hippopotamus 2 And also Built a dam around city Memphis, as well as 3 building more than 100 of egypt’s pyramids.
The 4th dynasty was mainly represented by the construction of the Great Pyramids, built by three kings of this dynasty: Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure. But the sculptures and the paintings played an important role in this period of time. The sculpture of the golden age of the old kingdom was highly represented by sculptures of King or deities. In the sculptures, the position of the body, texture of the skin, size and physical appearance, were the most important factors to represent the king or god. As an example, the Khafra, p. 59, 3.10. Made of Diorite. The seated position looking up front give him, an aspect of someone who can see everything, someone presence and calm. Also, the way his body was carved and represented, show vitality and power. The skin shows him as someone young and impermeable. Another example of how the size was one of the most important

We kept going and knocking doors but what we thought the same women kept opening every door we knocked. We stopped and asked ourselves why keep returning to the same house we have left earlier we argued and some of them suggested we are
