My friends and I wanted to go to a haunted house without telling our parents. It was going to be the 5 of us, but at the last minute, our 5th friend thought her parents were going to find out so she didn’t go. She was right. A couple weeks later all our parents found out and we all got grounded. I told my parents that I was going to the home football game. My friend Lexi picked me up at Four O’clock to go to the game because we volunteered to work at the concession stand. We wanted to make sure that people saw us at the game so if our parents asked if we went there we technically wouldn’t be lying to them. The three of us got picked about Six O’clock by my friend Payne who lives in Geneseo. Payne was only 16 but there was going to be 4 of us all together in the car so he said we needed to take the back roads to Peoria because there would be fewer cops there than on the interstate. We got to the haunted house at Six O’clock. Payne had to drive around a little because he couldn’t find a parking spot. As we walked up to pay for the haunted house there were weird, creepy people following us up to the booth. We got our tickets and then we had to sit down for like 10 minutes because they were waiting for the line to go down. Finally, they told us we could go get in line and we waited for 2 hours in line. When we got close to the front of the line Payne got a text from his mom asking where he was so he told her the truth. His mom was really mad and she told him that he had to
After days of convincing my mom that I was a responsible adult, I finally had her permission to go out of town for the first time without. This year for Spring Break me and two of my friends decided to go on a trip to visit our friend Steven in Houston. It's a long drive from Laredo to Houston, about 6 hours, but we unknowingly made it an 8 hour long trip.
I didn't always live in California. Before California I lived in Denver, Colorado. Before Denver I lived in Aurora, Colorado. When we moved to california we had a family of five. We moved to California, when I was six, Then we lived at my grandma’s house in Riverside for a year. We found a place on Ferree Street and that became our home.
The parents were fed up with our wild animal like behavior and told us to play downstairs in the basement. We all went down the basement and started to playing tag. Therefore, we had to be careful playing because the basement was not finished at the time and had metal studs where the walls are supposed to go and the concrete floors that are now hardwood. When everybody went upstairs because they were as tired as an olympic runner after a meet my Dad came down to fix a light bulb. He used a ladder to fix it so he could reach and when he was done he went upstairs so I was the only one in the basement. I wanted to be like my Dad so I decided to climb the ladder. I was at the top when my foot slipped off the ladder. Somehow I was able to turn my body around and grab onto a pipe to stop myself from falling. I felt the pipe starting to brake so I decided to swing on to the metal stud next to me because I was sure that was going to hold me. When my
Someone broke into my car and about $400 worth of cash and items were stolen.
On April 1, 2000, I was placed into a group home because of my behavior at the home. My dad and I didn’t get along. So he sent me to a placed called Bowman House. When I arrived there the first person I met was a lady name Alexander, she begin showing me around the units. Alexander was called the granny of the units. It was two units for the boys and girls. She took me to the boys unit first to look at the units. After I looked at the boys unit she took me to the girls unit. Where I would be staying. I had the chance to bond with Alexander, it wasn’t something I was trying to do it just happen. I had to stay with Alexander until the staff came back from picking the other peers up from school. An hour pass and the peers came back I had to go
Going all the way back to Elementary school, I had a crazy story that happened around the 4th grade. I was at recess and we had a lot of room to play on during recess. There were many trees around the area. Me being a kid at the time I liked to play with sticks and there were many sticks on the ground. So for me liking sticks I picked one up and started to wave it around all my friends. All of a sudden one of the lunch ladies starts running down, blowing her whistle to stop me from waving the stick around. The lunch lady then took me up to be put on the wall. The wall is where the kids who got in trouble for something sit on there and can’t play for a period of time. I did not play for the rest of recess. After that, my class and I went back
The agency I chose to interview was MyHouse at 300 North Willow in Wasilla, Alaska. Their mission is to provide safe shelter for homeless youth with a goal of connecting kids to a network of caring individuals and agencies able to assist them in becoming self-sufficient. They have a board of directors that meet regularly to discuss issues and where to go next with the agency.
I went to a college party and got wasted I got pulled over and was taken to jail for driving under the influence. I was scared of what might happen to me in jail. I had never been in trouble and I did not want to worry my parents by bailing me out. I stayed in jail overnight until they released me with the promise to appear to court at a later date. When I got home I got in the shower and tried to clean the fifth of jail off me but it was not that easy. When I got release they took my driver license and handed me a paper with instruction to get them back. I was so embarrassed from getting arrested i tried to keep it a secret. I was doing a good job of hiding my arrest until I needed to rent a car for my sister. I always rented cars for her since we lived in the same city and she was under the rental car age limit. I had to break the bad news that I did not have a license and i'm fighting a dui class. She started crying and asking was i ok and if are parents knew.
So, we were at the Bloomsdale K.C. Hall. We were trying to get teams for a game of Ghost in the Graveyard. It was a chilly night so not many children wanted to play. We got together three teams of two. We started playing, two kids Tommy and Jason were “it” first. We were only playing three rounds. First, Raymond and I hid in an empty dumpster (worst spot ever). They found Justin and Cody first. When they yelled
When Ellie arrived the other day it was dark and she was unable to appreciate the beautiful countryside surrounding her. However today, it was spectacular. The imposing mountains in the distance were stunning and the open fields bordered by lofty trees were delightful. Since she isn’t in any hurry to reach town, Ellie pulls over and simply sits and takes it all in. It is relaxing, drawing the tension from her.

and then I took Jackson's car seat upstairs with me because he was still sleeping and I strategized what I was thinking about for volleyball and trying to get a team together. I was sitting up there for about an hour and then Jackson woke up and he was hungry so I got him out of his car seat and we walked
It was in the middle of the day and my friends sitting in a circle were all giggling and laughing while playing truth or dare. If you received a dare and you failed to complete, you would have to take a bite of guinea pig food. It was my turn next. I had one of the worst dares yet and I could just not do it. So my friend got a spoonful of guinea pig food and we all went to the bathroom. I just sat over the toilet in a dark bathroom crammed with all my friends staring at the spoon. I finally took a small bite and immediately purged it all back up. We all started laughing. I can say that is one thing for certain and that is I will never do that again.
It was a beautiful night in Chicago. The moon was showering the city with its magnificent light, and the city was booming with noise due to the special event the local movie theaters were holding. The movie theaters were holding a free movie night for some of the top movies of the year 2006. Along with that, they claimed for every person who came, they would donate 50 cents to a local business. Me and my best friend, Zee, slash partner in the detective agency squirmed through the crowd trying to reach the door to our favorite movie of the year “ Monster House”. Even though we both knew that it wasn’t meant for adults we still enjoyed the plot and some of the thrills. As we neared towards the door, we noticed that the crowd had stopped moving and a high pitched scream cut through the air. Me and Zee instantly fought our way through the crowd trying to reach the distressed cry. When we arrived my eyes took a serious tone as I told everyone to evacuate
