Finally we got in America and America is so
It was a 26 Nov, 2006 when I got call from my father at my work. Then, he said that our Immigrations visa has been approved. So start your preparation for move. After finishing talking with my father, suddenly different thought started running in my head. I was thinking to myself that I will lose all the good times I used to have with my friends. I will miss my job, coworkers, and parties with my friends. Everyone in our family and friend were very happy, when they came know about our family moving to USA.
Last years, I was in Iraq, in Baghdad, in my house with my mom and sister. It was a beautiful weather, when the phone rang and my mom answered, immediately the smile became on her face when she heard we would travel to another country. After the phone closed, she came to us and said,¨we will finally travel to United States, let us go to prepare the backpacks, we do not have more time to waste¨these news were amazing, but I became sad that we left my cousin, my friend in Iraq. Next, we prepare to go to the pline, we moved in pline to Ardon, then to Germany, and then to United States. It was a fun trip in airport and also a tired one. Then,
I woke up to the sound of my mom calling my name and shaking me. Looking at the time I see (SAW) that it is four o’clock in the morning. Sighing, I look around to see the house in complete darkness aside from the dim light coming from the hall. Knowing our flight to India is in two hours, I slowly make my way out of bed and start to get ready. Sitting down at the breakfast table I see my brother and sister getting their breakfast, while my mom and dad are gathering our luggage we packed two days ago. Once we are done eating breakfast, we load up the car and make our way to the airport.
I did not meet with Pt. , I was paged by Lisa Micciulla, front desk in the emergency room to please come to the ED concerning an "urgent" situation regarding this Pt. When I arrived in the ED registration area an MGH Security personnel stopped me to talk with Pt's daughter, Charlene McDonald. Pt's daughter explained she was not being allowed to see her father, who she understands was brought to MGH for surgery after a fall. Explained to Ms. McDonald, I was aware of Pt having a gaurdian, and that there was a court ordered visitation schedule between Ms. McDonald and Pt. She reported this was an extreme situation and she showed me text messages she had sent to Pt's guardian, Attorney Tine Hajjar. I advised I could not allow Ms. McDonald access to Pt. Based on the order from probate court. Ms. McDonald has visits with Pt on Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday 11:00 a.m. -4:00 p.m.
The novel Animal Farm written by George Orwell, is about a group of farm animals who are inspired by the wise boar, Old Major, to see the discomfort in their lives changed for the better. The animals are made aware of their minuscule rations, lack of freedom and their enslavement. They choose to take action and rebel against Mr Jones. At first, the rebellion is successful but soon becomes corrupt and some animals become ‘more equal’ than others. This is shown when an animal hierarchy is formed and certain animals become more powerful than others. Corruption breaks out when Napoleon reduces rations except for himself and his fellow pigs. Napoleon soon makes himself superior to the others in a number of ways.

James Frances Ryan is a private of the military during World War One. After his mother has receive condolences letters stating that three of her four sons have been killed in combat, there is an urgent need to save private Ryan and bring him home. Throughout this entire film, I felt a sense of pride and uneasiness. I felt pride because of the fact that our country took into consideration the way that this mother has to feel after losing three of her four children and the need to save her last child so that he can return home to comfort her. I felt a sense of uneasiness because I knew that despite the fact that they were doing this out of the good in their hearts, it wouldn’t be an easy task to complete because lives would be lost since they are still at war. Not only to they have to fight for their lives but also try to find another person who they’ve never met and get him back safely. There are 3 specific scene throughout this film that I believe are crucial to the understanding and the emotions I felt while watching it.
On March 4th, 2018, I, Officer Albert, was working as a Police Officer for the Wichita State University Police Department. At approximately 0150 hours I was dispatched to Shocker Hall for a suspicious character report. The suspicious character was a white male wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt riding a skateboard. I arrived at approximately 0151 hours on the south side of Shocker Hall and walked down the south steps towards the courtyard. Officer Andrew Abbey was on scene talking with an individual fitting the suspicions character description, see Officer Abbey's report. I spoke with the individual later identified as Tyler Micol Dane Kuhn. Kuhn's eyes were glassy and his pupils were large. Kuhn's hands were shaking and he seemed confused. Kuhn wasn't able to
I was a young child sitting in abandoned house waiting for the black blizzard to pass.I went to get wet towel to put over my face.
I had been wishing for a little brother or sister for a long time and one day my parents gave me the news that I was going to have a little sister. I had never been so excited and I could not wait to be a big sister and have someone to look over. Months had passed and it was getting so close, I could barely wait, and I am sure my mom was more ready than ever.
A few years ago cheerleading was a huge part of my life. I was on two competitive teams that worked hard three days a week to perfect our routines. When we were not practicing we were encouraged to attend open gyms which were aimed at practicing our tumbling skills. I attended the open gym being held one day not knowing that it would be my last. As I landed a one handed cartwheel my knee was twisted so drastically that I heard a loud pop that followed up with intense pain. After icing it and resting for a few days, I started to interpret my pain as being more serious due to the fact that it was giving out on me while doing daily tasks. I also had two close friends that had torn ligaments in their knees that needed repaired with surgery, so
What is culture? Culture is the idea of what is wrong or right, the concept of what is acceptable within our society. Culture serves us as a guide, taking us to the "right way" and helping us to make sense of things that surrounds us. There are many different cultures around the world. A lot of them are similar in specific ways and others are just completely different, this difference explains why we think that people from different backgrounds are "weird".
This summer, I took a shopping trip to target for a late night snack attack. Before checking out at the cashier stand, I strolled through the one dollar spot. If there’s anything I’ve gained from my mother, it's to never ignore a good deal. It was mainly cheap plastic toys for kids but, yet something caught my eye. A Dr. Seuss section, filled with little metal lunch boxes, pencil pouches, sippy cups, and pencils. From Green eggs with ham to One fish, two fish, red fish, blue fish. I immediately started sifting through these goodies. Dr. Seuss had been the foundation to my reading journey. Reading all his books since I was six. For Dr. Seuss to fit into my epiphany moment, let me give you a brief but important background to me, Belinda Coronado.
First time I came America was about 2 years ago, I went with my friends. That was a memorable trip, I strongly felt how a big different culture between America and China. Then after that trip, my parents decided me to go to America to study. I still remember my first night when I went to my America high school. I didn’t sleep well, I missed my home and my family. i cried, I must admit I have long time no crying, but that day made me so upset.
Then the 134 arrived. I got on, showed my pass to the bus driver and
